(CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, AND AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON SPOILERS IN BLURB AND STORY)
Bryce Russell is back and better than ever! Well, not really. She went back to Kannapolis, North Carolina to catch up on everything she missed while she was working in New York. It is now the year 2015, and apparently, a lot has happened since the attack on New York City... like the Avengers training a young woman from another planet... and the arrival of some new Avengers, like the Falcon... the death of Loki, the guy who attacked New York...
The one thing she does know is that she is now unemployed because of the fall of SHIELD. Thankfully, Stark has rehired her to help him analyze Loki's scepter, which they miraculously found in a HYDRA base. Her research does not go as planned, and the coming of Ultron sends her world spiraling out of control as she attempts to resist her metal brother.
TRIGGER WARNING: Kidnapping, a bit of torture, blood, death, wounding, shooting, violence, being tied up, evil artificial intelligence, starvation, hallucination.

"I retired from that life. I don't even have my suit anymore, the feds took it when I went under house arrest,"
-
After her team was torn apart by a thick packet of paper, Ellie Barton was placed under house arrest. She hoped, that when it was all over, she could live a normal life and raise her daughter. But, of course, life won't allow that. The day before she gets released, a magician opens a portal and she's dragged right back into the hero life. She didn't want it of course.
But the universe needed her. So she fought. Maybe not as hard as she could've.

"You know, I'd offer to cook you dinner, but you seem pretty miserable already," I looked over to see Steve leaned against the doorway. "It's today, isn't it?" He asked. "Bingo, Rogers. She would've been 8 today," I said. "You here to do your laundry?" I asked, standing back up and pulling out two mugs. "I'm here to see some friends," He said. "Clearly your friends are fine," I said, grabbing the mugs and we moved to the council room.
