I was walking along the coast of Virginia Beach, cracking off pieces of a stick that I held in my hands. I thought about everything; my life, my family, my friends, just everything. I tried to reevaluate my life because everything I thought, turned out to be wrong. I followed one foot after another leaving imprints in the wet sand, soon to be washed away by the tides. I looked at various shells scattered in the sand moving up and down with the waves. Most of them were broken, just like me. I saw a particularly shell that caught my eye. It was beautiful and seemed to be the only one still intact. I bent down to pick it up and before I realized it I was pummeled into the sand.
