Olivia Manning grew up in a little town outside of the suburbs of Illinois. She was working in a cafe while in college, where an agent discovered her. Convinced her to move out to New York to be a runway model. She was barely twenty went it all happened. As quickly as she was found, she was discarded. Except now she was stuck in New York, afraid of going back home as a failure. One day as she's working as a waitress, this guy takes a photo of her. He explains he's a photographer and wants to photograph her some more. Olivia immediately shuts him down, not wanting to be a part of that dark world anymore. But she does become his friend. And soon the photo shoots they're doing just for his Instagram start becoming popular, and she's being contacted by agents and designers that want her to model their clothes. At the same time her friendship is possibly turning into something more. She's stuck between two worlds. Plus she's different then when she came to New York a year ago. She's changed. They changed her. Olivia can't put up with the mind games anymore, and she can't trust anybody in the industry. But why was it so enticing to go back?
