In his world where expectations and standards are as normal as breathing, how would he try to function amidst the sea of interactions? The story is told from Virgil Astraea's eyes, the reigning valedictorian and the top one student of the prestige University of Saint Willhelm. Referred as the best student the university has to offer in terms of academic and brain prowess. Virgil's often cold demeanour and pessimistic view of relationships and society as a whole gives him an unapproachable look from his peers, enough to be known as a loner and an antisocial. At the start of his Grade 12 journey, a transferee enters the classroom. Raine Evans, her academic status allowed her to be given a scholarship to attend one of the four greatest universities. But unbeknownst to Virgil that the one who can challenge his glorified position in the school has come! Their rivalry is set. No one wants to lose. Either one maintains or one takes the title from the other. Will the whole encounter warm the icy heart of Virgil? Does Raine have enough firepower to be known as the best? How will Raine's optimism reflect against Virgil's spiteful philosophy? Their identity grows anew as time passes by. I really can't bare to see people who have restricted vision and are close-minded. So if you're willing to open your myopic mind then I suggest reading this book/guide. By the end of this "book" it would be solely up to you if you want to make this change. But just know that you have the power to see through other perspectives. In this book I ask a lot of questions so feel free to answer them in the comments!! That's all I have to say for now but if I have anything else to say in this description I'll edit it later. Keep in mind that this is my first book. So not everything will be perfect but I am open to ideas/suggestions thank you. sincerely -me

An anonymous teenager is writing a letter to anyone who will listen. They are writing about the horrors they witness in the world, because by sharing, people may help. Sometimes all you need is a new perspective. Possible TW: mentions of school shootings, Police shootings, kidnapping, drugging/rape, suicide/self harm... It gets sort of heavy. Sorry. I don't think this is considered mature, but if you're under 13, you probably shouldn't read it. But hey, I'm not your parent. It's probably not that bad, just... you can't unread things. Please keep that in mind. Authors note: I am fully aware people have different experiences than I do. I tried to generalize the letter the best that I could, and tried to do justice to the problems that I wrote about. I am in no way trying to soften the trauma people face, or make light of any of these serious situations. Like the synopsis said. I'm just trying to bring awareness to the issues. I wrote this letter for my grade 10 English exam. My teacher thought I should submit it to the school paper, but, me being me, I didn't think it was good enough. Reading it again... I was right. I wrote it in an hour. But I wanted to share it with people, hence you hopefully reading it now. I rewrote it slightly, and ended up making it WAY darker than it needs to be, but I did write the original in 2018, so not all of the issues in 2020's society are represented (i did end up getting some of it in my rewrite). Anyways, hope you enjoy
