It looks like I've accidentally tumbled straight into my own story AGAIN-surrounded by moss, prophecy squirrels, rogue cats, and an absolutely chaotic brother who thinks logs have feelings. Frogs are racing, Mondays are hunting us, and somehow the Gangling showed up? Yeah... this is going to be fine. totally fine. Maybe. Probably not. Perhaps scream with me?

I woke up inside the story I wrote, living the life of my own heroine aboard the starship Stardust. The man I created, the one she loves, is destined to die because I chose it as the author. But looking at him now, I know I have to save him. To do that, I must decide: stay in the perfect life I dreamed of, or return to the one I was so desperate to escape.

The prompt I picked was a writer ending up in their own story. At first, I thought, cool - just 2000 words. But once I started, I realized how brutal that limit can be. Every sentence I wanted to add meant sacrificing another, and it hurt to cut scenes I loved. But in the process, I learned something important, sometimes restraint makes a story hit harder(not in my case cause my original was perfect😝) This piece became more than just a challenge as it forced me to sit with my characters, face the weight of what I'd written for them, and decide what truly mattered. I hope you feel that too when you read it.
