Ça faisait 4 ans que l'inspecteur Connor Ceretti courrait après sa némésis Le Fantôme. Il avait exploré toute les pistes, été contre tout les avis et vidé toute ses bouteilles de whisky afin de se donner un peu d'inspiration. Mais rien à faire cet imbécile refusait de se faire choper. Or Connor dans tout son splendide caractère de macho cynique détestait ce qui lui résistait. Enfin , son humeur dépendait plutôt de la qualité de son dernier repas. Et depuis le début de sa nouvelle enquête officiel il n'avait pas vraiment pris le temps de manger autre chose que des asperges. Aussi il fallait dire que le cadavre retrouvé à moitié mâchouillé par un ours l'avait un peu refroidit. Inspecteur Connor Farmer, aussi doué que cliché trouverait ce Fantôme tout en faisant son travail officiel et en chopant la femme de son voisin, le monde était prévenu.
