(we start off at a Pokémon center with Nurse Joy and Chansey)
(They enter a room with a massive incubator with a single egg inside hooked up to all sorts of monitors and machines)
Nurse Joy: still no changes?
(Chansey gives her something)
Nurse Joy: (doing checks) tell me. Why are you still an egg.
(Cut over to the Cerise laboratory)
Cerise: the first person to do extensive research on Pokémon eggs is professor Elm, a former student of professor Oak's. He concentrated his studies on the mysteries of why no one has ever seen a Pokémon lay an egg.
Goh: so how come no one has ever seen that?
Ren: if we knew that it wouldn't be a mystery would it.
Chrysa: some researchers theorise that Pokémon don't lay eggs. Instead they simply find their eggs lying around but once again there's no proof
Cerise: which means Pokémon eggs remain as much as a mystery today as they've ever been.
Ash: amazing. Come to think of it I've never seen a Pokémon lay an egg either.
Goh: you've actually seen a Pokémon egg!
Ash: sure I have.
Goh: no fair!
(Y/N): me too! Since I have four which you've both seen! And I've had another two which pupitar originally came from one of the eggs too
Goh: yeah I'll give you the pupitar egg as lucky but it's different since those four were given to you. I know let's go find one! I want to a wild egg too!
(Y/N): fair enough I can't dispute that one.
Ren: I hate to have to break it to you but that's easier said than done.
Goh: hey! You never know until you try
Ash: you're right let's give it a shot!
(Y/N): I'm all for that.
Goh: yeah!
Goh/Ash: see you later!
(Y/N): professor do you think you can watch the eggs for me while I go with those two.
Cerise: sure.
(Y/N): thank you so much. Wait for me guys! Let's go porygon!
Cerise: here's to your success.
(Raboot casually walks out after letting out a sigh)
(With the three protagonists)
Goh: I think they're found in grassy areas like this. We've got to keep a sharp eye. (Sees an egg) there's one!
(He runs over and stops as the egg turns around and has a face)
Rotom dex: exeggcute, the egg Pokémon, a grass/physic type. Exeggcute is made of 6 eggs that communicate with each other using telepathy
Goh: pokeball let's go!
(Goh throws a pokeball and catches it)
Goh: got it!
Rotom dex: exeggcute has been registered to your pokedex
Goh: that catch was eggcellent in my book.
(Pikachu is cheering whilst raboot doesn't seem to care)
Ash: (sweatdrop) wow funny.
((Y/N) just face palms)
(Ash's phone gives him a notification)
Ash: 1024th.
Goh: his name is Hayden?
(They look around until someone comes over waving)
Goh: I think it's that guy.
(Y/N): he looks like a racer or some kind or it might just be me misjudging people's professions again.
(Rotom drone arrives onto the scene)
Rotom drone: you have been approved for an official Pokémon world coronation series normal class battle. The challengers today are Hayden from fuschia city versus Ash from Pallet town. In today's battle each of you is allowed to use one pokemon. Will both challengers please bring out your Pokémon, thank you. 3,2,1 Go!
Ash: Pikachu I choose you!
(Pikachu comes on out)
Hayden: come on out!
(He sends out a tauros)
Ash: a tauros huh.
Rotom dex: tauros, the wild bull Pokémon, a normal type. Tauros run in herds in the wild. The member with the longest, thickest and most scarred horn is said to be the leader.
Goh: check the horns. They're long, thick and really scarred. Huh that tauros looked like it would be a leader.
(Y/N): so it's a strong one.
Rotom drone: battle begin!
Hayden: alright Tauros use horn attack!
Ash: alright Pikachu iron tail!
(The two attacks collide releasing a wave as Chansey walks away the egg begins reacting)
(We cut back to see Pikachu kicked in the face)
Ash: use electroweb!
(Pikachu uses electroweb)
Hayden: break it apart with iron head!
(Tauros smashes through it with iron head and hits Pikachu causing Pikachu to skid across the ground)
Ash: Pikachu! Are you alright?
(Pikachu recovers and is fine)
Ash: way to go!
Hayden: now use iron head once again!
Ash: let's wrap it up Pikachu.
(At the Pokémon center the machine with the egg is going crazy as tauros charges and Pikachu releases thunderbolt the egg shakes more and more)
Ash: let's go!!
(The egg begins to shine and tauros is struck and faints)
Hayden: no tauros no!!!
Rotom drone: tauros is unable to battle, pikachu is the winner. Which means the victory goes to Ash from Pallet town
Ash: yes!
Goh: they did it!
(Y/N): now that's neat.
Ash: you were great buddy.
(Pikachu hugs Ash but Pikachu also begins to feel lots of pain when Ash hugs him and touches Pikachu's tail)
Ash: sorry buddy. Time for the pokémon centre.
(Ash feels a wave and wonders what it is)
Goh: congratulations Ash!
(Ash isn't paying attention)
(Y/N): what's wrong?
Ash: I felt like I was being called but by who?
Goh: what do you mean? I don't see anybody.
(Y/N): it might be a Pokémon but I don't know really.
Ash: it's not by anybody here but how do I say it? It kind of sort of like uh?
Goh: you aren't making sense. Although I do remember you said you heard something back when we met Lugia.
Ash: it's a little bit different from that time too.
Hayden: excellent battle Ash. That was a powerful thunderbolt you're quite a trainer.
Ash: thanks alot Hayden
Rotom drone: as a result of today's battle there has been a change in the world coronation series rankings effective immediately.
Hayden: if we meet again let's have another battle.
Ash: sounds good.
(Hayden walks away)
(Meanwhile at the pokémon center the egg stops shaking and returns to normal as Chansey and nurse joy are confused on what's going on)
(With the Ash, Goh and (Y/N))
Goh: wait up Ash!
(Y/N): yeah what's the urgency, Pikachu isn't that injured. Is it do with the voice you heard?
Ash: yeah. Wait I was rushing?
Goh: you're a little weird sometimes.
Ash: what do you mean? I'm not weird.
Goh: you can hear things that we totally can't hear. (Jokingly) You're just like a Pokémon egg.
Ash: like an egg?
Goh: a creature of mystery.
Ash: nothing mysterious about me
Goh: but there is.
(Y/N): you know I have a theory, a Pokémon theory.
Goh: go on.
(Y/N): what if it's communication because think about it pokemon can use telepathy to communicate, taken over people's consciousness and use their bodies to speak but I've only heard rumours of something called aura but I can't immediately think of a pokemon in the Sinnoh region that would be connected to that.
Goh: interested. You think it could be that?
(Y/N): who knows really. It could also just be telepathy from a physic or ghost type pokem9n or something.
Ash: we're here Pikachu!
(We see Nurse Joy treating Pikachu)
Nurse Joy: this may sting a little. Such a brave pikachu, we're all done.
(Ash is giggling but stops as he senses something and walks off)
Nurse Joy: (holding Pikachu) sorry to keep you- huh Ash?
(Ash is walking along the corridor and enters a room with the egg inside it)
Goh: here you are.
(Y/N): it seems I've hit the mark.
Goh: wait this can't be a pokemon egg can it!
Ash: nurse joy. Why are those wires connected to the Pokémon egg?
Nurse Joy: you see this was entrusted to me by a Pokémon day care.
(Y/N): hey it's just like my eggs.
Goh: huh?
(Y/N): oh yeah I forgot to mention after my mom stopped being a pokemon trainer she became a breeder and owns a daycare and collaborates and shares things across other nearby daycares in Johto essentially it's pretty much a partnership.
Nurse Joy: it's a highly unusual Pokémon egg
(The egg begins shaking and falls over as Ash reaches in and feels it)
Ash: wow it's warm! You can touch it.
(Pikachu feels it)
Ash: see I told you it was warm.
Nurse Joy: maybe you should take care of it, what do you say?
Ash: huh?
Nurse Joy: you see this egg was discovered in the Sinnoh region it just simply refuses to hatch. The egg was cared for by many people before it ended up with me.
Ash: I guess you're not in any hurry are you. You should come out, it's lots of fun. More fun than anything than inside that egg.
Nurse Joy: please take care of it Ash. If anyone can take care of it, it's you.
Ash: right.
Goh: I'm kind of jealous.
Ash: (to the egg) my name is Ash, nice to meet you.
(Back at Cerise laboratory that egg is in the table with yamper Barking)
Chloe: don't bark at it Yamper. You're going to scare it.
Chrysa: now that you're taking care of an egg it means you're protecting a Pokémon's life, that's alot to be responsible for.
Ash: I know.
Chloe: I was wondering, do you have an idea of what kind of Pokémon it is?
Cerise: nobody has any idea what kind of pokemon it is until it's hatched.
Goh: I wonder when that's going to happen.
(Y/N): I'd say soon.
Chloe: how do you know?
(Y/N): call it intuition and the basic knowledge I have of pokemon eggs ,thanks to my mom, when an egg has been shaking lots like that one has that means it's close to hatching so it'll just need that last push and care for it to hatch.
Goh: awesome!
Chrysa: according to professor Elm's research it needs to spend time with healthy Pokémon, being exposed to healthy and energetic Pokémon is crucial for an egg to hatch successfully.
Ren: that's why trainers insist on walking with eggs wherever they go until the big day finally arrives
Ash: right why don't me, you and Pikachu go for a walk.
Goh: talk to it all you like but it can't hear you
Cerise: you sure? There is a story. It says somewhere sometime in the past there was a jigglypuff that liked to sing. It would sing to a Pokémon egg everyday and then one day the egg hatched into an azuril. The story then says azuril's song was just like the one jigglypuff sang.
Chloe: does that mean it was listening this whole time from inside of the egg?
Goh: (panicking) I'm Ash's friend Goh and I'm really sorry for saying you can't here anything in there,okay!
(Meanwhile raboot looks unimpressed)
(In Cerise park)
Ash: dragonite!
(Both the dragonites fly over)
Ash: I'll be taking care of this egg. A new friend.
(Dragonite tries to hug the egg but Ash moves it away)
Ash: I think we should wait until it's hatched before we do that.
(Dragonite instead hugs Pikachu as Pikachu sinks into it with (Y/N)'s dragonite is snickering in the background until it also gets hugged and begins blushing)
(In the evening)
((Y/N), Goh and Ash are asleep as the egg is beginning to glow once again as Pikachu wakes up and shakes Ash awake)
Ash: (tired) Pikachu? What's up?
(He sees the glowing egg and rushes over)
Ash: check it out.
Goh: (tired) Pikachu what's going on?
(Y/N): (tired) what's that bright light?
(They look and rush as soon as they realise the egg is hatching)
(Y/N): oh boy!
(The egg glows brighter and begins cracking and the brightness begins to fade to show a Pokémon with a blue and black face with red eyes and it shows to be a riolu)
Ash: alright!
Goh: amazing!
(Y/N): that's a riolu! I've never physically seen one before!
Rotom dex: riolu, the emanation Pokémon, a fighting type. Riolu can understand how people and Pokémon by observing a kind of wave called aura. It has a flexible body with enough power to cross 3 mountains and two canyons in one night.
Goh: so that's a riolu huh.
(Y/N): (star eyed) so cool! So that's the Pokémon that can use aura!
Ash: riolu nice to meet you! I'm Ash. This is my partner Pikachu
(Pikachu introduces himself in classic pika fashion whilst riolu looks around)
Ash: what's wrong riolu?
(He reaches out until he's hit and blasted back by vacuum wave)
Ash: I'm fine. Riolu was that move vacumn wave. You're pretty awesome I mean you've only just hatched.
(Riolu runs off and jumps out of the window)
Ash: riolu!
(Small adventure with riolu)
(It runs across a pond with a bunch of poliwag, poliwhirl and a poliwrath as it jumps and tries to tackle it but bounces off it and lands in the water before being surrounded and dodges a water gun from poliwrath as it jumps and fires a vacuum wave but it does nothing as poliwrath signals to be rest as riolu is pelted with a water gun, bubble beam combination by the poliwhirl and poliwag launching it across the skies)
(Meanwhile)
Ash: riolu!
Goh: riolu!
(Y/N): hey riolu!
Goh: sure could it have gone
Ash: we've got to find it.
Goh: but we're talking about a Pokémon that can cross 3 mountains and 2 canyons in one night. How do we do that?
Ash: riolu only just hatched remember. There is still alot of things it doesn't know and I can't just leave it alone in the wild like that.
Goh: Ash?
Ash: when it was an egg I was so sure that it was calling me. At least that's how I felt, remember what nurse joy said she said it had been an egg for a long time. It gave me hope, I was so certain riolu was waiting for me. I guess I was wrong.
(Y/N): I don't think so.
Ash/Goh: huh?
(Y/N): think about it. It used aura to sense you but it hadn't seen what you physically looked like so maybe it doesn't realise you are the one yet. Think of like a when a bay is born it doesn't recognise it's mother's face but their voice.
Goh: let's do this. Raboot and I will go get this way (points to his left) and you and Pikachu go that (points to his right) and (Y/N) you and-
(Y/N): don't worry I've got you covered me and dragonite will have an aerial view.
Goh: this will allow us to cover more ground
(They split off as (Y/N) takes out dragonite and flies to the sky)
Ash: thanks alot you two.
Goh: don't worry we'll make sure we find it okay.
(Y/N): I pinky swear on my life
(We see riolu being hit by butterfree's stun spore before butterfree flies away, next we see riolu firing vacuum waves at rattata angering the pack who gang up on riolu and begin biting and scratching it. Next riolu tries attacking two diglett but they dodge and attack with mud shots as riolu falls on the ground injured but gets back up and keeps moving forward)
(With Goh)
Goh: riolu! Where is it?
(Riolu is running and it sees a rocky hill and begins climbing it until as it's climbing the rock it's on moves and reveals to be an onix which throws riolu off. The onix, angered, begins shouting which Ash and Pikachu.)
(With Ash and Pikachu)
(They hear onix)
Ash: hey wait isn't that-
(With (Y/N) they also hear the sound very very faintly)
(Y/N): over there let's fly
(They begin to fly over)
(With riolu)
(Onix slams its tail at riolu but riolu dodges and jumps in the air and fires off a vacuum wave hitting onix in the face but does nothing, onix's eyes glow as rocks lift into the air as it launches them towards riolu who again dodges and charges at onix hitting it in the face but again does nothing before being hit by onix who's tail has a green blown around it launching riolu backwards)
Ash: riolu! Are you alright!
(Onix comes closer)
Ash: Pikachu!
(Pikachu is ready as riolu senses the aura Ash and Pikachu are emitting and realises this is the person he is looking for)
Ash: Pikachu use iron tail!
(Pikachu uses iron tail whilst emitting an even powerful aura and hits the onix as (Y/N) arrives in the scene and lands nearby)
Ash: nice one Pikachu
(Y/N): I see you've got this handled.
Ash: sure have
(Pikachu gets ready to attack again but is tackled out of the way by riolu who wants to fight with Ash)
Ash: riolu?
(Riolu speaks with Ash)
Ash: do you... Want to get stronger?
(Riolu gives confirmation)
Ash: well if that's what you want then help me out.
(Onix throws more rocks)
Ash: riolu vacuum wave!
(Riolu uses vacuum wave and it's more powerful as it blasts through the rocks and hits onix)
Ash: way to go riolu. Let's do this go!
(Riolu charges and gets faster and hits onix once again hurting onix and it goes down as riolu charges for it again but onix is intimidated and digs away meanwhile riolu is charging up another vacuum wave)
Ash: stooop!
(Riolu stops)
Ash: riolu that was awesome. You're battling was really something else.
(Riolu does a proud pose until it falls over from it's injuries)
Ash: you're beat. Let's go
(Riolu gets back up as Ash bends down and offers riolu a piggy back ride)
Ash: to the Pokémon center. Climb on it's okay
(Riolu walks away from Ash to the Pokémon center by itself so they start to walk near it)
Ash: you're pretty stubborn aren't you.
(Y/N): (laughs) talk about an attitude
(Flies along side them)
(During the day at the Pokémon center)
Nurse Joy: there riolu is in good health and feeling fine.
Ash: good for you riolu (holds hands out)
(Riolu looks before jumping off the chair and walks in front of Ash)
Goh: (laughs) you know that Pokémon is kinda fun.
(Riolu is speaking to Ash)
Nurse Joy: it looks like riolu is trying to tell you something. I think it wants you to catch it.
Ash: huh? You sure you want that?
(Riolu puts it's hands up in the air)
Ash: alright here it goes!
(He throws a pokeball and catches riolu)
Goh: that was quick!
Ash: alriiight! I caught a riolu!
(Outside the pokémon center Ash sends out riolu and walks proudly in front of our trip of heroes)
