To My Forsaken Lover

By ramayantika

Inspired from: "Before you die, experience the love of a writer, poet or painter.

if you're lucky enough to be an artist's muse, they will immortalise you."

********************************
To my forsaken lover, I write.
To the one who waited for five seasons
To the one who gazed at the moon
Waiting for me in his sleepless nights.
To my forsaken lover, I shall write.

For you believe I have forgotten you
For you believe your name doesn't come by my lips.
For you believe, your name doesn't make me shiver anymore.
Would it grant you pleasure
If I tell you the truth?
If I tell you, "no"?

My words and my image haunts you.
Broken promises echo in your ears.
My dear heartbroken lover, such cruel way of mine to bring you in my journal
But for what hope within the heart?
I wonder.

False professes of love, I gave
While you daydreamed about us,
Lying under the early morning sky
As the sun basks us in hues of red and orange.
You stitched memories so delicately
When I hid a lovely scissor behind.
The one you loved was cruel!

You might find one later,
I might too.
But in this moonless night devoid of even stars, I give a silent promise.
Not your lover I shall be again
But my muse you shall be.
My forsaken lover, for gifting me your heart once trusting to not break
Even when I crushed it,
I shall remember your love
And spread them in every book I write.

My forsaken lover, would you again grant a last wish to your cruel beloved?
Be my muse till my last breath?

Tell me how this was? The above quote was from Tumblr and it kinda related to me because of a little incident.

Smile, spread love and be kind
