Johnny.
"Wake up sleepy head." Johnny heard the voice whisper in his ear, but in that moment all he wanted was to get closer to the source of the heat, he just wanted to curl around it and forget about everything going on in his life, that one blissful moment was everything until. "You're so beautiful." The compliment and where it came from, a guttural growl ripped through his lips, and in one jolt he was up tangled away from Kyle, this was not blissful.
"What the actual fuck are you doing in my room?" Johnny questioned as his eyes flickered between red, black, and grey. "I was sleeping, the couch wasn't comfortable and you seemed welcoming when I climbed into your bed." Kyle replied getting up from the bed, his nonchalant behavior unnerved Johnny. "Do you know this is a massive invasion of privacy, I don't care what pedestal you've placed yourself on but you don't dare invade my personal space without me allowing it." He snapped making Kyle defensive yet also laugh.
"I wasn't exactly strangling myself a minute ago, you were the one almost raping me." Kyle retorted making Johnny dumbfounded. "So this is my fault, I'm the one who should've given you my bed to sleep on, I admit my body and sleep driven mind don't know any better but don't you dare accuse me of something vile like that." Johnny responded harshly and this time Kyle seemed to understand the magnitude of his words. "I was being sarcastic love, don't take it so seriously." He chortled but Johnny was already walking to the large couch in his room, he picked up Kyle's clothes and tossed them to him.
He wasn't cruel, and he understood that he meant no harm but him doing anything of this sort, he had overstepped numerous boundaries. "Bathroom is down the hall last door on the right, get out." He spoke devoid of emotion, he didn't want to show the kind of effect Kyle had on him, he didn't want to feel, because feeling was dangerous especially for someone with his gifts. "I'm—." A raised hand stopped Kyle mid sentence. "I've heard the statement before, and all you seem to do is just make things worse, do me a favor and get out." Johnny demanded pointing toward the door, he had already had enough of the hybrid, but Kyle didn't move, he only seemed a little fazed by the situation.
"You're beautiful when you're angry too." He murmured making Johnny groan. "The door Kyle, the door." Johnny angrily demanded as he tried hopelessly not to feel what the hybrid felt, Kyle made his way to the door, somehow that idiotic smirk of his never left his lips and it irritated Johnny, Kyle had to go and there was no roundabout on that, when the door shut with a click Johnny sighed, Adrian became visible in the room just then with a bowl of popcorn in hand. "I swear you make good morning entertainment." The medium mumbled munching down on his popcorn.
"Ari!" The wolf yelled as Adrian burst out laughing, for the first time in a long while Johnny was the one on the receiving end of the teasing, and right now he was being teased, he knew Adrian wouldn't let this down, ever. "Ari how long have you been in here, your popcorn is almost done." Johnny exclaimed and Adrian tapped his chin before realization set on his face. "The moment you started yelling, who knew my little brother would have a hard time with a man." His brother teased further making him groan, this was not a good way to start his morning.
"It's not funny, he insulted me, he insulted us without even knowing a single thing about us then claims to want to take care of us, after we beat his arrogant ass, he needs to go." The wolf rambled on as if steam were to blow from his ears and mouth. "Est et liliux." Adrian mumbled and suddenly Johnny was swarmed by different butterflies all around him, the anger and all the emotional turmoil vanished, replaced by his laughter and admiration for the beautiful multi colored butterflies.
The medium got up and Johnny noticed the slight limp in his step. "Feeling better?" Adrian asked with a hand rubbing his back, begrudgingly Johnny had to agree, Adrian had made him a peaceful wolf yet again but the need to tear Kyle's head off was still there, just not prominent. "I don't know how to trust vampires after what we just went through." Johnny confessed to Adrian who was walking to his closet. "I don't know either sweetheart but Kyle is different, you can tell but you're too stubborn to admit it, plus he's not just a vampire, he's a wolf too." Adrian argued as he snapped his fingers and everything in Johnny's closet was perfectly tucked away into the shelves, what was left was for Johnny to wear.
"Thanks but it's still hard, I will try give him a chance but if he messes up, that's it, I'm not trusting him again." Adrian smiled with a cheeky look in his eyes. "He's rather easy on the eyes, don't you think?" Ari was fishing for a comment and any that he gave he knew it was ammunition his brother could definitely use on him. "Ari, I don't think Jaxon would like that you're complementing other men, he's already turning into a giant are you sure you can handle it if I tell him." He retorted and his brother scoffed, of course, Ari could find a loophole in his threat.
"I belong to him already, though he's easily jealous that doesn't matter, what does interest me is your total avoidance of the particular topic, it seems you like him to some degree, hence you couldn't really reply me, you would be risking your neck." Adrian surmised and Johnny couldn't curse himself more, how could he have forgotten that Adrian didn't need to be psychic to know him, he just had to look at him and everything was laid out for him.
"I'm not going to entertain you anymore, go back to your man, and don't you have kids to take care of." Johnny grabbed Adrian and threw him over his shoulder. "Put me down Johhny!" The medium screamed but Johnny was considerably taller already and when it came to strength, Adrian wasn't exactly in league with him, the jock and gym junkie. "I'm not putting you down until you're away from my door." The wolf replied as he dropped Adrian just in front of his bedroom door, he then walked back to his room only to become angry when he could smell a particularly dominant male in his room.
"You really don't give up." Johnny accused looking at the slightly taller Kyle who seemed to have a sheepish grin on his face, he was both an idiot and beautiful, Johnny sighed heavily, beauty never came with brains, those were rare cases. "Uh, Adrian told me I could get clothes to change into from you, and he said you wouldn't mind." Kyle expressed with hand gestures, this didn't exactly bode well with how loosely tied his towel was, and then it fell. "Oh boy."

Adrian.
"Thank you for responding Adrian, I know it's been tough lately, just going around, I appreciate you actually having time to see me." Doctor Charlton exclaimed as she sipped on her tea, they were in the same restaurant where Adrian had told the woman about the demons that had come into their plane of existence. "I don't mean to be brash, but what is this about, are the demons gone or is there another problem?" He asked bluntly not knowing why exactly why the woman had wanted to see him, even more so out of his house when she knew it wasn't safe lately.
"No it's not related to that, I wanted to ask for a favor, I know I shouldn't but it concerns a close friend of mine, his name is Kao, his mate died recently, she was attacked by a rogue incubus, it leeched off her till there was nothing left." Doctor Charlton confessed with a quivering voice and this particular image made Adrian uneasy, Doctor Charlton seemed to be the strong alpha female, she seemed to not have emotions but Adrian was seeing differently.
He didn't know if he should accept doing the favor or not since he kind of felt insulted when he remembered how the Alpha female had ridiculed him about his abilities, now she needed help. "I'm only asking, but if you say no then I'm okay with that, I believe I shouldn't even be asking you." The doctor added whilst sipping more of her beverage, Adrian was somewhat relieved to know that she wouldn't hold it against him if he refused to help her.
But as he thought about it Adrian realized that lately, he hadn't been doing what he set out to do when ghosts needed help to cross over, he hated being a medium but he also loved it, he knew he had to help the person whoever they were, not because it was a favor for the alpha female but because he was a medium and that was his job, to help those who had died cross over to the other side.
"I will do it, as I'm free now, we can do it." He replied with a small smile and the doctor was surprisingly smiling as well. "Oh thank you, Adrian, he needs to find peace and I know talking to his wife will help him." Doctor Charlton responded with a smile of gratitude.
"How long will it take to get to this man, I need to be home a little early, Jax is easily worried." Adrian conveyed with a bashful smile that made the woman opposite him chuckle. "Oh I understand, my wife is the same, it's not far from here, only in one of the pack territories." She added as they made their way out of the restaurant to the woman's car. "Can you tell me about the wolf structure, the patriarch rules over all the mystic households but who is the head of the wolves?" Adrian quizzed as he got comfortable in the passenger seat of doctor Charlton's car.
"The patriarch is the final word, his word is law, but you already know that though, the wolf packs used to be under his guidance but as he ascended he left the position to someone else, I don't think you know him, he's a shy man, powerful but still shy, his name is Kyron, he is also an alpha of a wolf pack near Greeneway Peak, most of that land is his, you asked how the old structure was like then with you knowing of Kyron it will be easy." She explained speeding toward her friend's house, Adrian barely paid any attention to anything on the road because his focus was the doctor.
"There are almost twenty wolf packs in Greeneway Bay, they all live by the grace of the patriarch, as do all the other mystics, the wolves have alphas for their individual packs, these alphas report to Kyron on everything, in turn making the wolf packs into one major clan, there are some times that Kyron cannot handle certain issues even with the alpha's council, which I'm part of, he then reports to the patriarch about the particular problem and leaves it to him to find a perfect solution, there are times when the whole protocol is skipped just because what you need to relay to the patriarch is too important." She surmised for Adrian who seemed to absorb every word she had said.
"It is interesting and perfectly balanced, there doesn't seem to be an unfairness with the other mystics since the patriarch has given the control of the wolves over to someone else." Adrian mumbled as he felt the shift past a barrier, they had entered pack territory and the minds of the wolves were bombarding him. "There isn't trust me, if anything that giant skyscraper is harder on the wolves than other my—." The doctor stopped midway as she saw Adrian clutching his head, he was being bombarded with images, visions, and mental conversations, it was as if his mind was on overload.
Adrian was now wheezing clutching his head. "Adrian, what's wrong?" The woman questioned as her car skidded to a stop just in front of a house, she immediately got out and ran to the other side of her car, with little ease Adrian felt himself being lifted from his seat and laid on the ground. "Adrian, can you hear me?" She asked and Adrian couldn't respond, he could hear her and all the other voices of pack members. "Silence!" One dominant voice yelled across the web of linked minds, and instantly everything was silent.
Adrian could finally breathe, he tried to stand halfway but fell back. "Easy lad, take it easy." A man who seemed to be in his late thirties assessed him, he was the alpha he could feel it. "Are you okay, what was that?" Doctor Charlton asked as Adrian sat up, his mind was finally back to normal and it seemed he now had control over the web of linked minds. "I'm psychic remember, this pack is filled with wolves who are linked mentally and I didn't expect my mind to forcefully open the link with them when I got here." He replied honestly, he hadn't expected his mind to act on its own.
"Glad you're fine, are you still up to help?" The woman questioned and Adrian nodded. "Great, this is Ren, he's the alpha here, Kao is his beta." The doctor explained as he finally got a good look at the man who seemed to be shorter than Johnny, his chin was sharp and scarred, his eye a sharp black and his hair a curly messy atop his head, for a wolf he was handsome, but Adrian could and would never say that when his mate was around. "Hello, I'm Adrian, sorry for causing trouble." He sheepishly apologized and the man waved it off as nothing.
"No need to apologize young one, any child brought here by Charlton is no problem to us." He replied with an accent Adrian couldn't place but he didn't dwell on it, in the far off distance he could feel a malevolent spirit, a strong one at that, he looked in the direction of a particular house which caught the attention of the alpha and the doctor. "Is there something wrong?" Ren asked and Adrian nodded. "I believe you have a damned spirit leeching off a living being here, it's rare but not rare enough." Adrian explained as he appeared next to Ren.
"He's a medium Ren, and a witch, I brought him to help Kao, we can't lose him." Doctor Charlton explained to the quizzical alpha but Adrian was already walking toward the direction of the two story home. "Hey wait!" The alpha yelled but he didn't stop, something was wrong in that home and he had to stop it, malevolent spirits weren't this strong. "Adrian, what is it?" The doctor asked as they stood outside the house. "When did Kao's mate die and how?" He questioned the woman and the alpha who had caught up.
"About four days ago, rogue incubus attack." Ren replied but it didn't make sense to Adrian, a malevolent spirit didn't latch on and get stronger that easily and in that little time. "Alpha that's no ordinary malevolent spirit, you can feel it don't you, your wolves are already ready to attack." The medium explained as the doctor rubbed her arm, Adrian knew she could feel the dark energy as if it were eating away at her very flesh. "Get me rock salt, a spider, preferably large, sage, angelica root, basilisk blood, and willow wood ash." The medium instructed and immediately ten wolves showed up at the house.
They were instructed on what Adrian needed, they scattered just after the final word. "This spirit has gained enough power to latch onto several hosts, if you were too late this pack would have been decimated by it." Adrian mumbled shocking the alpha, he waved his hand for them to back away, an orange sigil with runes around it appeared beneath Adrian, the doctor, and alpha, a seal appeared above the house just as a transparent barrier enveloped the whole house. "That should do it." The witch mumbled knowing he had trapped whatever was inside.
After forty minutes of waiting the wolves finally returned with everything they had been told to get, some of them had blood drying on their torsos, he understood it was hard to acquire the things he needed. The ash was his base, the basilisk blood and angelica were poured next into the mixture, it all sizzled when Adrian cut his palm and his blood dropped into the mixture, once he was done two vials appeared from thin air, he poured the mixture inside, handed it to the doctor and the alpha. "Once I kill the spirit force that down Kao's throat." Adrian ordered and the two didn't ask questions.
He made a sheet of dried bark appear in his hand, he placed the rock salt and sage between the bark, when he rolled it into a stub one end of the stub was lit with flames from his hand. "This will keep it from latching onto you, I've already placed protection on you, but I'm being extra careful." The witch explained much to Ren's surprise and admiration, Charlton said nothing but her smug smirk said it all. "Let's go." Adrian mumbled as they walked toward the front door of the house, he blew the door off its hinges with his telekinesis, the two alphas behind him winced as they moved past it and saw it going back into place.
"Aren't we trying to be silent?" Ren asked but Adrian shrugged, he saw no point in hiding when he knew the spirit detected them already. "Try not to get separated from me." The witch warned as he walked further into the house, it was dark and dusty, a lot of furniture was broken in half, the sink was overflowing with molded plates, there was rotting meat on the counter, wolf fur was scattered all around the lounge and dining room where the ten seater table was broken in half. "This place is a nightmare." Ren mumbled as he looked around, Adrian wondered how the wolves hadn't noticed that Kao wasn't okay, or the smell of the rot itself.
A loud screech echoed in the house but only Adrian could see it's source, it was a malevolent spirit but none he had ever seen, black scales marred its skin, ruby red eyes and ribs that seemed to retract and flare out at will, this was more a demon than just spirit and Adrian realized he was right, it was a demonic spirit, it screeched again startling the doctor. "Doctor Charlton and alpha not to undermine you or anything but—." Adrian flicked his fingers making the vials appear in his hands. "You need to run." He mumbled.
