FELIX P.O.V.
I got back to the dorms and as soon as I did I put my back against the door and slipped down, sobbing loudly. I already missed him, and it had only been like half an hour, maybe forty minutes, how am I going to survive five months by only doing video calls? I whined, realizing how deadly this experience would be.
The first week was the worst, I spend all day in bed, surviving by ramen and not even bothering to go to the rehab sessions. As I promised, I called Chan every day, avoided talking about me, and if we did I would just lie about it, pretend I was okay, it was a good thing that he did not have a lot of time to talk, because of the busy schedule, if not he would have noticed immediately.
I lied to him about my goals, about my progress, he would believe me, and get super cute and happy, but I was not, I felt bad and empty for lying to him like that, but it was better than breaking his heart and worrying him by telling him how broken I thought I was.
It was Sunday, the last day of the first week without my members, it was 10 pm when I got a text from my bestie.
SQUIRREL BOY
You may be able to
lie to Chan but not to
me, I am your best friend
I am not dumb.
LIXIE PIXIE
Ji, I am sorry I lied,
just please do not be
mad at me and do not
tell Channie, I do not want
to worry him...
SQUIRREL BOY
I am not mad, I
am worried, you
usually, get back up after
you fall. So I want you
to get your lazy ass out
of bed and start working
hard from tomorrow until
we get back, do I make myself
clear? If not I will make sure
Chan is the one telling you this.
LIXIE PIXIE
It is not that easy, I will not
be able to do it...
SQUIRREL BOY
Stop your tantrum session,
you big baby. I am going to
send you a video, get up at
7 am tomorrow and watch it
then ok? You do not have to answer
to it, just go to rehab and that is it.
No fussing allowed. Do not fight
with me, I have advantage over you.
I sighed but did as he told me. I went to sleep early that day, I did not want to get in any trouble, and I did not want Channie to know, anything but that.
My phone went off at seven o'clock. I opened my eyes and sighed. I turned off the alarm and forces myself out of bed. I got my phone and went to Jisung's contact, I clicked on the video and watched it carefully.
By the end, I realized I was crying, Jisung, and the video was right, I was making up excuses. Suddenly the urge of going to rehab, of getting better, of dancing again hit me like a truck. I am not giving up, and not only was I going to recover. I was going to dance again, in four months and three weeks, I was going to try and dance again, no, I WAS going to dance again. Period, point, blank.
I got up and headed towards the shower, I got in some comfortable gym clothes and got on a bus to go to the hospital.
I went to the rehab center and saw my usual nurse waiting for me, he was waiting for me? After a week?
I went towards him and started the rehab session, after one hour we were done. I did not feel pain anymore, just slight pressure on the back of my thigh. He was about to leave to attend to his next patient when I spoke.
"Wait," He turned around, "can I ask, why were you still waiting for me? I did not come for a whole week, why did you not give up on me?"
He sighed and walked towards me.
"I knew you would not come after your boyfriend left. He was your main motivational space, but I knew you would find your own voice and passion inside of you, eventually, and I was not wrong, now go home and rest your leg for the rest of the day okay?" I nodded, "you worked hard and well today, you deserve it."
I left the hospital with a beaming smile on my face, I was so happy with my nurse, because he had not given up on me, and also really happy with Sungie, none of this would have happened without him. He really is a good best friend in the world.
I got my phone from my pocket and clicked on his contact.
LIXIE PIXIE
You bitch, you,
are the best friend
in the world, god
how much a love you.
But jokes aside, really,
thank you so much!
SQUIRREL BOY
Thank you, Lix
I love me too!
LIXIE PIXIE
Fuck you.
SQUIRREL BOY
I love you too Lixie!
That night Chan called. I answered feeling super happy.
"Hey, Channie!" I said throwing myself on the bed
"Hello, my sweet baby! How did today go?"
"It went super good! My nurse told me that I was doing super good, the doctors think that within a month my injury will be as good as it can get, after that, I will have to go to the gym every day to get my body back in shape, and after that, it is back to dancing!" I said and squealed excitedly.
I heard him chuckle from the phone.
"That is great to hear love, just do not be too hard on yourself in the gym okay? I have to go now, but promise me that okay?"
"No Channie, pushing me towards my limits is what has helped me get better, so I am going to push myself hard, but do not worry, I will keep my thoughts extra positive for you."
I felt him smile through the phone.
"Fair enough baby, I will call you tomorrow ok? I love you."
"I love you too, goodbye."
"Goodbye sweetness."
~TIME SKIP~A MONTH LATER~
I got out of rehab skipping instead of walking, the last session today, I am officially out of the hospital and on my own now. It felt good, but also scary, but I was going to get there, I knew I was.
I went to the sports center to get a gym coach for the next three months, after that, I will have three weeks to prepare my special surprise for Channie.
"Hello!" I said to the receptionist, "I am looking for a coach... how does this work?"
Suddenly someone spoke behind me.
"I could be your coach."
I looked back at the receptionist, they smiled at me.
"This is _______ (sorry, I have no idea what to call him), one of the best coaches in the gym, whatever your goal is, he is your best option."
I turned around and smiled at him.
"Okay, sure, no problem."
"Okay, let's head towards my office so we can discuss what do you want to accomplish."
He started walking and followed behind him, looking around. We entered his office, it was little but bright and welcoming, he sat behind the desk and welcomed me to take a sit on one of the chairs in front of him.
"So," he spoke, "what do you want to do?"
"I got injured, a hamstring tear, and I decided not to operate since I am a dancer, so did rehab and already finished. The thing is, I have to get back in shape, to protect my hamstring, and to be able to dance properly."
"Okay, well how long will you have to do intensive training?"
"The doctor said it is necessary to work out under supervision for three months, two hours every day, and after that just go regularly like I always did."
"Okay, well, starting tomorrow you will be here at eight, better without having eaten anything, and we will do form eight to ten, we will work on your abs, upper arms, and upper legs, is that okay with you?"
"Yeah, sure, starting tomorrow right?" He nodded.
"Yes, starting from tomorrow, your name is?"
"Oh, yes sorry, Lee Felix,"
I left and went back to the dorms. I was very excited to start tomorrow.
~A WEEK LATER~
My eyes got watery as my breathing got heavy, I had done ninety squads, with two kg weights on each hand, and I only had ten left, but my body could not take it anymore.
"Are you going to stop now Felix?" The coach said, crouching down next to me, "you have to do a hundred squads, you are almost there, and you are going to give up now, it is just ten more."
"But, yesterday we-we, I did fifty, and suddenly, we-we, I am d-doing a hundred, I-I can't."
"No Lee Felix, you can, I know you can, your boyfriend knows you can, your best friend knows you can, the other members know you can, you are the only one stopping yourself when you think you can't, go a little bit further, test your limits Felix, and when you are in front of them, push them further."
I took a deep breath and pushed myself up, and went back down, and back up again until the ten squats were finished. I dropped the weights making a loud thud and fell on my hands and knees, and started sobbing, I was so happy, I had finished, and I had believed in myself.
I felt my trainer pat my back.
"You worked hard kiddo, I am proud of you."
~THREE MONTHS LATER~
I walked into the dance practice room and took a deep breath, it was time to start working on my choreography because that was the surprise that I had for Channie.
~THREE WEEKS LATER~
CHAN'S P.O.V.
We were in the dorms when Jisung basically dragged me to the dance studio.
"Jisungie," I whined, "where are we going? I am tired!"
"Just shut up Hyung, it is a surprise, stop being so whiny."
We got to the dance studio and he dragged me into a practice room, leaving me alone in the dark and leaving.
I was confused when the lights suddenly opened. I squeezed my eyes until I got used to the light and then I saw him, Felix. He started dancing to one of my favorite songs. He moved so smoothly, he looked as light as a feather. He looked amazing.
He finished and I basically jumped on him, both of us falling to the ground. I was on top of him and I hugged the life out of him, he giggled under me. I looked at him, our nose touching, and pampered his face with kisses.
I rolled to my side so we were side to side. He turned around to face me.
"Surprise." He whispered.
I laughed.
"Yeah no kidding baby," I cupped his cheeks, "you looked amazing, you are amazing, the dance was amazing, you are all better, and you did it all for yourself, I am so proud of you."
"Thank you Channie."
"So, celebratory cuddles? We can watch one of those cheesy romantic movies you like so much, and I can sing you to sleep."
He blushed and hid his head in my chest, I laughed softly and played with his hair. He looked up at me.
"I love you Channie."
"I love you too baby boy."
I kissed him and he immediately kissed me back. God, what did I do to deserve him?

Autor's note
Hey guys,
so I need to confess something about this one-shot. Felix situation happened to me, I am a ballet dancer, or at least that is what I want to be. I had the same injuries and had to go through the same process as him.
Felix represents me and Channie represents the person that I would have liked to have at that time. Nobody was really there for me, and nobody took my feelings seriously, so yeah, that is what Chan represents.
I hope you enjoyed it and this is the end of this series.
