Chapter Forty-Three

Odette sat next to Stiles watching as Theo flipped Stiles jeep back over. "You okay?" Odette asked as she rested her chin on Stiles's shoulder and he slightly leaned his head against hers as he grabbed her hand. "I'm fine." He said before turning his head to look at her, "Are you?" He asked as he brought his hand up to wipe away from black blood off her forehead from a cut that was already healed.
"I healed." She said with a slight shrug and he smiled softly before gently kissing her forehead. "We should get you to the hospital. You took both in a lot of smoke." Theo said and Stiles shook his head and stood up before helping Odette up, "I'm fine." He said and Theo sighed. "
"Suspect in one-eight-seven is in custody and en route to station. Suspect's name is Yukimura, Kira." The police scanner said making both Stiles and Odette's eyes widen. "What's a one-eight-seven?" Theo asked.
"Homicide."

"Hey, is Kira okay?" Stiles as as Scott walked into the house but walked right past them and up the stairs. "Scott?" Odette called up to him. She glanced back at Stiles, Theo and Malia before they all started running up the stairs.
They ran into Scott's room to see Scott with his claws in the back of Corey's neck. "Don't get too close." Odette said as she watched the two carefully, "What is he doing?" Theo asked. "Tapping into Corey's memories. It's usually something only Alphas do." Lydia explained and Theo walked over to get a look.
"Is it as dangerous as it looks?" Theo asked and Odette sighed softly and shook her head, "More." She said. "Does anyone know if it's working?" Mason said and then a second later Scott gasped and pulled away from Corey. Stiles and Theo shot out to catch Scott while Lydia and Mason grabbed Corey, "Is he okay?"
"What the hell did you do to me?"
"You'll be all right."
"There's blood..."
"You'll heal."
"Scott-"
"He'll be fine!" Scott yelled as he started rabidly drawing on a piece of paper. "I think it worked. I saw something. There were tunnels, pipes along the walls... There were these huge blue pipes at the entrance, two on both sides." Scott explained and Stiles, Odette and Lydia walked over and looked at the paper.
"Wait a second... I know this. I've seen this before. That's one of the tunnels I used to skateboard in. Remember? My dad caught me one time and told me to never go back?" Stiles said. "It's the water treatment plant." Lydia said.
"That's where they are. That's where we'll find Liam and Hayden."
"Scott... Scott, slow down. Just think for a second, okay? Mason shouldn't be going." Stiles said as they followed Scott down the stairs. "Liam's my best friend- I'm going." Mason said making Stiles raised his eyebrows, "Oh, did you suddenly get super-wolf powers? I wasn't aware of that development."
"Well, if you're not going, I could use the help." Scott said and Stiles shook his head, "No, I'm coming as soon as I talk to my dad. They're moving the body, and he wants to make sure that this time, no one steals it." Stiles said and Odette furrowed her brows. "How's he gonna do that?" She asked and Stiles sighed.
"I don't know... But whoever took the last one was strong enough to flip my Jeep."
"We can take Theo." Malia suggested, "Maybe I better stay here... You know, in case the Doctors decide to make a house call for Corey." He said and Scott looked over at Odette. "Odette?" He asked and she sighed, "I hate to say it but Theo's got a point, of the Dread Doctors come here for Corey one person won't be able to stop them. And they apparently dont want to fight me so I should probably stay here. But Stiles is also right. We need to slow down and think."
"I am thinking- about how Liam and Hayden could already be dead." Scott said making her shake her head, "You could've hurt him, Scott. Really hurt him to the point I wouldn't be able to heal him." She said making him sigh softly.
"I have to find Liam." He said and walked out, Mason and Malia following before Stiles turned to Odette. "I'm going to go talk to my dad. Text me for anything alright? And I mean anything." He said and she nodded, "Okay." She said and he quickly kissed her before walking away.

"It healed, didn't it?" Corey asked as Odette looked at his neck, "Yeah... Completely." Theo said as Odette and Lydia looked at each other with small sighs. "Okay, then. It's been fun. Especially the part where a Werewolf forced his way into my brain with his claws." Corey said as he stood up making them raise her eyebrows at him.
"I don't think leaving is such a good idea, Corey. You know, Lydia's a Banshee. It means she can tell when someone's close to death. Lydia, what happens if he walks out that door?" Theo asked and Lydia awkwardly nodded, "...It's bad... Very bad." Lydia said making and Corey scoffed. "I'll take my chances." He says before walking away making them follow.
"Then give us a better chance at finding our friends. What else did you see?" Odette asked making Corey stop, "Come on, Corey, there had to be something else." Theo said and Corey sighed. "There was the hospital, and... they took me outta my room..."
"And then where?"
"The tunnels... Like I already told you. That's it." Corey said and Theo took a step forward, "Yeah, nothing after that?" He asked.
"No."
"Well, there has to be more. Think. Corey, for one minute, just think." Odette said and Corey sighed and thought for a moment. "...There was a basement." He said and Odette nodded slightly, "Where? Like, in a building?"
"A house. It was old, covered in dust, and... There was a broken stone wall with a large hole in it, like a bomb went off." Corey said making Theo turn to Lydia and Odette, "Guys, the Werewolf with the talons, the one who attacked Scott? Didn't Parrish say that he smashed through the wall of a basement? Wasn't it something like that?"
"No... It was exactly like that."
"I'm going." Odette said as she went to grab her keys, "I'm coming with you." Theo said making her stop and look at him crazy. "No." She said and he sighed, "Come on, you need a little back up just in case." He said and Odette looked at Lydia who nodded in agreement making her sigh.
"Fine. But you're sitting in the back."

Odette pulled up to the house and they instantly jumped out and ran in. They ran down the stairs to the basement to see a giant all in the wall, behind it was a chain link metal fence. "Liam! Hayden!" Odette called out as she ran forward, "Odette!" Liam yelled as her and Theo ran up to the fence.
Theo instantly moved to grab the fence, "Theo, wait! Don't!" Liam yelled but Theo still grabbed the fence and instantly got electrified and fell to the ground making Odette sigh softly as he stood up.
"You think you can get help?" Liam asked and Theo sighed, "We are the help." He said making Odette raise her eyebrows. "You not so much." She muttered before moving to stand in front of the fence, she raised her hands up in front of it but Theo grabbed her wrist making her glare at him.
"Are you insane?" He asked and she raised her eyebrows, "Are you insane? Let go of me." She said. "You're not going to be able to touch that thing." He said and rolled her eyes and ripped her hand away from him, "You should try reading up on Healer Witch abilities. I can manipulate energies, electricity is energy. So shut up and step back." She said slightly annoyed at him making him hold his hands up in defense and step back.
She took a deep breath before holding her hands up again and closing her eyes. She instantly felt the strong energy around the fence before slowly moving some of it to the floor underneath the fence, letting the earth's energy absorb it. She opened to eyes to reveal them completely white before she slowly grabbed onto the fence.
She groaned slightly as it was still electrified but it was was bearable for her, like a police taser. Her eyes shifted to blue as she started to pull the opening of the fence apart. Theo stepped up behind her and put his hand next to hers to help her making her grit her teeth slightly at house close he was.
They managed to pulled the fence apart before letting go. Odette breathed heavily as her eyes slowly went back to normal before her elbow shot back into Theo's side making him groan and step back. "Don't ever get that close to me again." She said before running over to Liam and Hayden.
"Are you guys okay?" She asked and they nodded before Hayden whimpered slightly making Odette's eyes trail down to her side where there was a giant spot if black blood in her shirt making Odette sigh softly. "Okay, let's get you guys to Scott's house and I'll heal you there."
A few minutes later they were all in the car, Liam and Hayden in the back. Odette glanced in the rearview mirror to see Liam kiss Hayden, taking away her pain in the process making Odette smile softly before looking back out the window as Theo looked over at her.
"You know, we make a pretty good team." Theo said making her slowly look at him, "Je vais te mettre une chaussette dans la gorge." She said making him look at her confused. "Was that a compliment?" He asked and she nodded, "Yes."
(Translation: I'm gonna shove a sock down your throat.)
