previously: Nishikata confessed his love to Takagi who thought he lying to tease her back which broke his heart
Nishikata runs away crying leaving Takagi realising he was being serious and felt regretful
Sanae, Yukari and Mina find Nishikata crying and try comforting him
Sanae is able to make him stop crying by giving him a hug
Sanae tells Nishikata he should stop being friends with Takagi because of how she treats him and he agrees and decides to start ignoring her
Sanae text Nishikata and they make plans for him to hang out with her Yukari and Mina the next day
Nishikata and Sanae walk to school together and plan to meet with Yukari and Mina at school
Sanae asks Nishikata if they can hold hands while they walk and he eventually agrees
Nishikata notices Sanae smiling
"Sanae are you smiling? I've never seen you smile before"
"w-what? I'm not smiling you must be seeing things" she told him while stopping smiling and gently blushing
"do we still need to hold hands? we're almost at school"
"Just hold my hand a little longer," she told him
Sanae and Nishikata had arrived at school together still holding hands and they walked over to Yukari and Mina and they stopped holding hands before anyone could see them
"Hey Nishikata are you feeling any better now?" asked Yukari
Nishikata then told her and Mina about how he doesn't like Takagi anymore and not even as a friend because of how she always treated him and how she made him always feel
"are you sure you don't like her anymore? I'm sure she does care about you and doesn't mean to make you feel like that" Yukari said
"yes I'm sure, she only uses me for her own amusement," Nishikata told her
suddenly Takagi ran over to the four of them to talk to Nishikata
"Nishikata please can we ta-" she tried talking to him but was stopped by Sanae who pulls her away from Nishikata and talks to her
"leave Nishikata alone!" she shouted at her
"I just want to talk to him"
"I don't care! you broke his heart and made him cry, do you even care about him? all you do is tease, make fun of, and bully him! do you even care about his feeling? or do you just care about using him for your own amusement? you also make him feel uncomfortable by always asking him "are you thinking of something pervy?" or do anything else to make him feel like a pervert, do you not think about how you make him feel? he doesn't deserve someone as bad as you to be his friend let alone his GIRLfriend, so LEAVE HIM ALONE!" after she finished speaking Sanae walked back over to Nishikata, Mina and Yukari
Takagi stared at them for a couple of seconds before walking away and was trying to think about what to do to apologise to him
when Sanae walked back over to the trio Nishikata asked her: "What did you say to her?"
"I just told her to leave you alone and that she should have treated you better and she shouldn't have been your friend at all since she always treated you terribly," she told them and they all agreed that Takagi shouldn't come near him so they wanted to stop her from talking to him
especially Sanae who wanted her away from Nishikata the most
TIMESKIP: START OF LESSON:
Nishikata had gotten permission from Tanabe-sensei to move his seat away from Takagi and he moved to where Yukari, Mina and Sanae were sitting and he talked with them for most of the lesson, Sanae had caught Takagi staring at Nishikata and gave her a death stare to tell her to stop looking at him and she listened and stopped staring at Nishikata and Sanae started talking to him
"hey, Nishikata, Takagi keeps staring at you," she told him
"I'll just ignore her, I don't really care about her or what she does anymore" he replied
time skip: recess:
Nishikata, Mina, Sanae, and Yukari were together talking and during most of the time Sanae was staring at him and fortunately for her, he didn't notice but Yukari did
"Hey Sanae can I talk to you in private for a second?" she asked her
"Umm, sure?" she responded, and they both walked away to talk in private
"so what did you want to talk in private for?" she asked
"why were you staring at Nishikata Sanae?"
Sanae's cheeks turned a shade of red at her question
"W-what? I-I wasn't staring at him?" she lied
"yes you were I saw you staring at him, do you like him?" she asked
Sanae face turned redder and she looked away from Yukari
"M-maybe a little" she answered with her face turning even redder
"You should tell him"
"W-what? I-I can't.... h-he just had his heart broken by Takagi and I don't think he likes me back a-and it would seem weird for me to suddenly say I like him, so just- please don't tell him"
"fine I won't tell him but I still think you should tell him"
they walked back over to Mina and Nishikata and they continued talking with ane trying not to constantly stare at nishikata the whole time, suddenly Sanae saw Takagi from distance staring at them and Sanae gave her an angry look to tell her to leave Nishikata alone and she listened and walked away and stopped staring at them
TIME SKIP: end of school:
Nishikata, Sanae, Yukari, and Mina were walking home together and Nishikata walked past his and went to go inside, he said goodbye to the three girls and walked inside his house meanwhile Yukari, Mina and Sanae were walking home together and Yukari started talking to Sanae
"so Sanae, you have a crush on Nishikata?"
Mina heard this and was shocked, "WHAT?"
"S-shut up, so I have a small crush on him but I'm not sure I want to tell him or rally talk about it, can you please not talk about it?" she asked them and they both agreed
LATER:
Nishikata was laying in his bed and he suddenly got a text it from someone, he picked up the phone and the text was from Sanae
hey, Nishikata wanna talk?
he texted back:
sure, what about?
she texted back:
nothing important I just wanted to talk to you
he texted back:
wait, why do you wanna talk to me?
she texted back:
just to see how you were, I'm still a little worried about how you are feeling
he texted back:
that's nice of you but you don't have to worry I'm feeling much better now thanks for checking on me
meanwhile, Sanae was reading the text conversation and blushing a small amount and was smiling, she texted back:
you're welcome, it's getting late now, goodnight
he texted back:
goodnight
Nishikata turned off his phone and laid down in his bed and went to sleep
meanwhile: Sanae was lying in her bed thinking about her crush on Nishikata and was contemplating whether she should tell him or not, after a couple of minutes of thinking she lied in her bed and went to sleep
