Moon, My Messenger

Spreading your silvery light,
Shine on the earthly creatures down.
You are a balm for the heart which aches.
A source of comfort for me as I yearn
For my beloved who stays in a far away land.

Moon, my messenger carry my letter.
Tell him that I am waiting.
Tell him about my longing.
Remind him of his promise
That he would come back soon.
Remind him of the sweet moments
When we whispered sweet nothings
With our hands entwined.
Remind him of our beautiful dream we created under the starry sky!

Carry my message, moon!
Carry my letter to my beloved!

Well this was inspired by a moment in Genesis where Tutankhamun looks at the moon and thinks about Senpa.
