After a few short days in our other home, we were brought back to reality of work and exploration.
I have been assigned to a group of scientists, flying them to a location and escorting them back. I am assigned to them before back in training, Oryn thought it would be a great idea for me to explore parts of the planet whilst learning at the same time how things are here
Our little group has been here for nearly 4 months and in 2 months estimated time the remaining survivors of my planet will be here.

"I know, I'll be home in a matter of hours" I hear gunfire and shoot up from my seat at the back of the ship "I have to go babe, something is happening"

"I know!" I shout back as I hustle on the remaining tactical gear and a weapon
"Need any assistance" I voice through the comms as I move back into the pilot seat and take off to the position I know the scientist and army personnel are
"Emila we need cover fire and pick up"
"I'm on my way"
I can see laser light shots being directed at the group of scientists
"We're definitely leaving after this" I say as I manuveur the transport out of direct line of fire
"A group of rebellion troops attacking us Emila, we need to get the scientists back home" The head of security voices through our communications
"Sure thing, opening hatch now" I get up and grab a gun on my way to the hatch to offer cover fire. Just as the last person is loaded on, the hatch closes I stop suddenly and look down to my stomach.
A scientist screams out whilst the security team move me away from the entryway and my co pilot leads us out

"Commander is not going to be happy about this" one person says as I grab his hand

I can hear a gentle beeping sound as well as a chorus of yelling outside the door, well more like one person
I smile knowing Oryn is here. I look around the room and slowly sit up. I haven't been hit by any of these advanced weapons before and I'll be sure not to be hit ever again

He packed up my things from the ship that was for my week long stay and took us home.
I looked towards our friends home and sigh. Not long now and my family will be here
