-Jacob's POV-
Weekends are a blessing.
I cant believe my plan worked yesterday! I was really curious to hear Jasmine sing since every single girl I know auditioned except for her and her friends. It had to be one of them or I had to be missing someone. I already knew that her friends would audition but I had to convince Jasmine to, so what better to do then challenging her? I mean, am I smart or what? Anyway, today there are no auditions because I promised Matt I would help him ask out Daneilla today. But tomorrow is the last day for auditions and hopefully Jasmine and her friends wont back out. I woke up early this morning and told Matt to meet me at the park. The dipshit didn't reply until 2 hours later. Waste of me waking up early, the fucktard. I quickly showered and pulled on a t shirt and sweats. Then I was on my way to the park.
I decided on not taking my car cause Matt would probably bring his. I closed my door softly not wanting to wake anyone and started jogging towards the park. When I got there, I saw Matt laying on a bench sleeping. This lazy ass. I quietly walked over and placed my mouth by his ear.
"WAKE UP YOU LAZY SHIT!" I yelled and Matt jolted up startled and fell off the bench.
"Ow, what the fuck?!" Matt said angrily while getting up
"Shut up. We have work to do." I said shaking my head and his angry muttering
"Ok. So what do we do first?" Matt said taking a seat on the bench
"Ok, before I can help you....I need to know what she's like." I said and he nodded
"Well. She's beautiful, witty, funny, caring, smart, cute, shy,-" he started and I stopped him
"Stop, just stop. Dude, your so whipped" I said and smirked while he glared at me
"Ok. First ask her on a date and then I'll help you plan the date so that you can ask her to be your girlfriend. Cool?" I said and he nodded but I can see how nervous he was.
"Dude, you where she lives right?" I asked him and he nodded his head.
"I've known her since I was 5" he said and rolled his eyes
"I didn't ask you for your life story" I said and he glared at me
"Shut up" he snapped and I rolled my eyes
"Anyway, buy her favorite flowers or chocolates and ask her to go out with you tonight. Or you can go the creative and cuddly way and get a teddy bear that says will you go out with me tonight or some shit like that. OR you can be an overachiever and do all of the above." I said and smirked at my awesomeness.
"Ok. After I do that, what is the date gonna be?" he said and I chuckled
"How do you even know she is gonna say yes?" I said and laughed when he punched me
"She will. I hope." he said nervously and I laughed
"Of course she will buddy" I said and punched his arm, which caused him to smile.
"Thanks" he said and I nodded
"So, is she the type to go to fancy restaurants?" I asked him and he shook his head
"No" he said we both thought for a while until he came up with something.
"Oh! I know!" he exclaimed and I looked at him
"What?" I said and gestured with my hand to continue
"She may not like a fancy restaurant. But she likes simple ones." he said and I gave a look to continue
"I'll take her to her favorite Italian restaurant" he said and I nodded slowly
"Ok, and how are you gonna ask her to be your girlfriend?" I asked him and he looked deep in thought.
"Why don't you do it on the front steps when you take her home?" I suggested and he nodded
"Ok, lets do that" he said and I made a face
"You mean you" I said pointedly
"Right" he said and laughed nervously. Oh boy.
-1 hour later-
I made reservations for Matt at the restaurant and he told me he was going to her house to ask her out now. He went with the all of the above. I should've known. I wish him luck.
-Matt's POV-
I walked up to the door, struggling to press the doorbell since I was holding a bunch of shit in my arms. Before I could even reach the doorbell someone opened the door. I stretched my head so I can see over the teddy bear and looked at who it was. It was Dill's mom, she was my mother's friend so she knew me, or at least I hoped she remembered me.
"Matthew! What are you doing here?" she asked surprised and I felt my face turn red
"Um, I came to see Daniella" I said shyly and I saw her raise an eyebrow before looking at the stuff I was holding and smirked.
"Oh, ok. I'm going go do groceries. There's no one in the house right now. Have fun!" she said and walked out quickly leaving the door open so I can go in. I felt my cheeks get even hotter as I stepped in the house.
"Dill?" I said and I heard a soft reply from in the living room so I started walking there.
She was on the couch laying down eating ice cream and watching TV. She was wearing fuzzy pants and a huge t-shirt, and she looked adorable. I grinned.
"So, it this what you do on your weekends?" I said and leaned against the wall. At the sound of my voice she screamed and jumped up. I laughed and she glared at me.
"You scared me!" she yelled angrily and I was still laughing. Finally, I stopped like 2 minutes later to see her fuming with her arms crossed.
"Sorry" I said still slightly smiled
"Sure" she huffed and sat down
I brought all the stuff I had left on the table in the house and went to stand in front of her. She looked at me surprised when she saw all the stuff, and I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
"Um, would you like to go to dinner with me this afternoon?" I asked nervously and she smiled when I handed her everything
"I'd love to" she said after a few agonizing seconds and I grinned
"Phew." I said and wiped the sweat that had formed on my forehead. Was it hot in here or was it just me?
"You wont regret! I'll pick you up at 7!" I said as I walked out of the house and I heard her yell back and ok. I have to call Jacob and tell him.
-Jacob's POV-
I picked up my phone that was ringing constantly, disrupting me from watching The Vampire Diaries. Damon, should just kill this ass!
"UGGGH!" I yelled into the phone
"Geez, you sound happy to pick up" Matt said
"Well, I wasn't" I said angrily
"Anyways, SHE SAID YEEEESSSS!" he yelled and I think I am going to be deaf
"Could you be any louder?" I snapped
"Yes. I could be. SHE SAID YYYYYYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!" he yelled much louder and I fell of the chair.
"Matt stop yelling" I heard his mom yell at him from through the phone
"Sorry mom" he said back
"Yeah.Listen to your mom. You could've made an amazing person like me deaf!" I said and chuckled when he groaned
"Whatever" he said and I laughed
"You did the reservations right?" he asked me
"No." I said
"WHAT!" he yelled and I could hear his mom scolding him
"What!" he said in a quieter voice
"I'm just kidding. I made it." I said laughing
"Ha ha, very funny." he said harshly
"I know right!" I said and laughed even more when imagined him fuming
"Just shut up" he hissed and I slowly ceased my laughing
"So what are you going to wear?" I said and regretted it since I sounded like a total girl
"I actually don't know" he exclaimed and I could hear him started to look around his room frantically.
"Calm your shit" I said and he stopped
"Just wear black jeans and a white or black button up shirt. Geez" I said and rolled my eyes
"Oh. ok" he said and I could hear him start to move around.
"OK. Got IT!" he said more to himself then me and I chuckled
"Ok, make sure you compliment her. Open the door for her. Pull out the chair for her. Oh and buy her flowers." I listed off
"Got it." he said
"Do you? Do you really?" I said and he sighed deeply
"Yeah" he said exasperated
"Ok. the. Good luck!" I said quickly and he started to say something but I already hung up and was back to watching Damon put Mason in his place.
-Matt's POV-
I looked down a the phone surprised. The dick hung up on me! I sighed and checked the time, 6 ALREADY! SHIT! I went in the bathroom, showered, brushed my teeth and pulled on my clothes. I put on a white button up shirt and black jeans just like Jacob said.Then I looked in the mirror trying to fix up my hair, but after 5 minutes I gave up. I pulled on my black shoes and walked out after making sure I had my wallet. I drove to the nearest flower shop and picked up a bouquet of tulips. Then I was on my way to her house. I pulled up in front of the cream colored housed and stepped out of the car.
Walking up the stairs I let all the nervousness sink in. I rang the doorbell and waited for 2 minutes until the most beautiful girl opened the door. Dill was standing there in a beautiful dress and it just added to her natural beauty. Her hair was in a bun and a lock of hair was astray so I reached my hand up and pushed it behind her ear and smiled when she blushed.
"Ready?" I asked after I handed her the flowers
"Thanks" she said and went inside and came back out with a coat and the flowers were now in the house.
"Ok, lets go." I said and took her hand. I felt warmth spread inside of me when my hand came in contact with hers. I opened the car door and led her in , and then walked to my side of the car. I started driving and and I could tell she was nervous by the way she was fidgeting her fingers. I leaned over and grabbed her hand.
"Don't worry. I'm really nervous too" I said and she smiled slightly as she griped my hand tighter causing tingles to spread. We finally got at the restaurant and I walked to the front desk.
"Um. I have a reservation" I said and I silently cursed myself for not asking Jacob what he named it under.
"What name?" The mean looking old man said
"Uhhhh, Matt?" I asked
"There's no Matt here" the man said
"Jacob?" I asked and the man shook his head
"Is there like something out of the ordinary there?" I asked
"Um, one of them says....The most awesome friend on this f ing world?" the man said
"Oh god" I said
"Yeah, that's me" I said and smiled embarrassingly and the man shook his head disapprovingly. I heard him mutter kids these days and Dill started to laugh. I smiled, she had the most beautiful laugh. We took a seat and looked at the menu.
"Um. I would like a cheese pizza and water. Please" I heard Dill say and I looked up to see her talking to the waiter who was about our age. He nodded and smirked at her after scanning her outfit. I immediately glared. I cleared my throat causing him to look over at me.
"Are you going to take my order?" I asked angrily and he rolled his eyes
"What would you like?" he said sarcastically and I thought about how he should be fired.
"I want the chicken parmesan" I snapped and after Dill gave me a look I gritted out a please. The the waiter left.
"What was that about?" she said
"He was totally checking you out!" I huffed and she chuckled
"What!" I said at her confused
"I knew he was" she said
"And..." I said
"But I don't like him I like you" she said and then turned red after she realized what she said.
"You do?" I asked happily and grinned when she nodded
"Good, cause I do too" I said and she grinned
"Really?" she asked
"Yep" I said and I reached for her hand that was across the table. She smiled and interlaced our fingers. Then we started talking about anything we could possibly imagine and we laughed until our stomachs hurt until our food was here. The waiter who's name was Luke glared at me when he saw our interlaced fingers and I glared back. He gave us our food and and drinks, huffed and walked away. Dill started to laugh and I started to also.The food was really good and soon we finished and were on our way out after I PAID OF COURSE. Well, she wanted to pay but she realized she left her money at home.
We were in the car talking about our favorite songs the whole car ride and overall the whole date was a success. So far...
We got to her house and I opened the door for her. I walked her to her front door and we stopped for a moment. She smiled and so did I. That dreaded lock from before fell out of place and I reached forward and tucked it behind her ear again. Then it was like I couldn't pull away, something kept me stuck there. My eyes flickered down to her soft pink lips that were now parted from realizing the distance between us. I slowly leaned in and she closed her eyes. When my lips meet hers it was electric, sparks and it was so perfect. I felt like I was on cloud nine just like that movie my little sister had made me watch. We slowly pulled away and both of our faces were red. I took her hand and smiled at her.
"Daniella, will you be my girlfriend?" I said nervously
"Yes!" she said happily and I pulled her in for another heart warming kiss.
"Goodnight" she whispered when we pulled away
"Goodnight" I whispered back and grinned causing her to make one of her breath taking smiles. I watched as she walked into her house give me one last wave and close the door. I fist pumped in the air and started happily walking to my car. As I drove home I had a smile on my face and the song cloud nine stuck in my head for the whole night.
