Silence emerged the room as the judge slammed his hammer on the table.
"All rise." Said the Bailiff and they stood up "Mantishpa Superior Court is now in session. Judge Sylvester presiding, please be seated" the bailiff instructed them
"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Calling the case of the People of the Manberg versus President Vladimir. Are both sides ready?" Asked the judge
"Ready for the people, your honor"
"Ready for the defense, your honor"
"Will the clerk please swear in the jury?" The judge said
"Will the jury stand and raise your right hand?" Everyone stood up "Do each of you swear that you will fairly try the case before this court, and that you will return a true verdict according to the evidence and the instructions of the court, so help you, God? Please say 'I do' " all the jurors said the sentence given "You may be seated"
"Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury: the defendant has been charged with the crime of murdering the mother of Y/n without any good reasons. The evidence will show that the mother was brutally murdered at March 16th, 7 years ago. The President of Manberg can also approve that it was intentional since they saw it with their own naked eyes, this evidence, I present will prove to you that the defendant is guilty as charged." Said the Deputy DA
Public Defender stood up to talk "Your honor, Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury: Mr Vladimir is presumed innocent until proven guilty. During this trial, you will hear no real evidence agaisnt him. You will come to know the truth: that Mr. Vlad has a reason on the execution of the Mother of Y/n and it was not intentional. Therefore he is not guilty"
"The prosecution may call its first witness" Said the Judge
"The People call Mr. Jschlatt" the deputy instructed the Bailiff to take Jschlatt to the witness stand
"Please stand. Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" Asked the Clerk
"I do" Schlatt said as he raised his right hand
"Please state your name"
"J. Schlatt"
"You may be seated" Schlatt sat down and looked very serious
"Schlatt, what are you?"
"Goat- I mean- The President of Manberg, which was once called L'manberg" He corrected himself and almost punched himself for that
"Where is the exact place of Manberg?"
He gave the exact name of where it was
"Were you at the execution of the Father last 7 years ago?"
"Yes I was"
"Did you see how it started and how the execution ended?"
"Yes. I was standing infront the stage since I was instructed to"
"Have you heard what the President or the right hand woman said?"
"Yes I did. And I quote 'maybe they are planning to do something, come on, execute the two'." Schlatt said as he remembered the exact words
"Have you seen everything? Including of dragging and murdering?"
"Yes I did. Just like I said, I was instructed to stay inside from the start until the end"
"You mentioned that you were instructed to stay inside from the start til the end, right?"
"Yes"
"Are you a citizen of Mantishpa?"
"I could not confirm it because I was never labeled, but the person who instructed me to stay was the Right Hand Woman of the President itself" Schlatt said and shifted his eyes on Y/n
"Thank you, I have no further questions" The Deputy DA finished off
"Does the defense have any questions?" The judge asked to the Public Defender
"Not at this time, your honor"
"The witness is excused" the judge watched Schlatt leave the witness stand "The Prosecution may call the next witness"
"The People call a man named Dream" Y/n's eyes widened at the mentioned name because she never thought that he was here. The two people beside her also got confused on how Dream got even in.
They watched Dream went to the spot where Schlatt was in a while ago
"Please stand. Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, do help you God?" The Clerk said the exact the same sentences and statements to Dream
"I do" Dream said and raised his right hand.
His mask was on the side of his head, revealing his face.
"Please state your name"
"Dream"
"You may be seated" The clerk instructed Dream
The Deputy DA stood up to ask questions once again "What are you?"
"A founder of the DreamSMP"
"Were you on March 16th, at the execution of the Father?"
"In between Yes and No, I only witnessed when Y/n's mother was getting chased and getting murdered" Dream expressed the thing he still remember
"Was Y/n in your homebase for hideout?"
"Yes"
"Was M/n the one who took Y/n to your homebase?"
"Yes"
"Did you witnessed the murder?"
"In between Yes and No, I saw how they dragged the mother back in Mantishpa and before I could witness the bloody business, I ran away from it" He explained clearly and surely
The questions are going in and out for the moment before they were out of questions. Dream made sure everything he said was very clear to the Judge and to the Deputy DA.
"Does the defense have any objection?" The judge asked
"Yes, your Honor" the public defendor said and stood up from his seat "Sir, how will you proof that it was a murder?"
"I'll explain it, Y/n was about 13 or 14 years old before and I myself the person who knew her the longest will always know if she is lying or not. I saw it in her eyes that she was very terrified and traumatized." Dream explained and Y/n's eyes got a bit teary due to the memories.
Technoblade didnt hesitate to hold her hands to calm her down.
"Thank you, I have no further questions" The public defender said and sat down
"The Witness is excused" Dream left the stand and went at the 3rd row to their right which was the opposite row of Y/n, Schlatt and Techno "Does the prosecution have any other witnesses?"
The Deputy DA shook his head "There were only 2 witnesses, your honor." The judge nodded and slammed his hammer once again
"Is the defense ready with its case?" Asked the Judge
"Yes, Your Honor. I'll call the defendant"
The Bailiff took Mr. Vladimir to the witness stand
"Please stand. Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case noe before thus court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" Asked the Clerk again
"I do"
"Please state your name"
"Vladimir V. Alexolas II"
"You may be seated" The President sat down with a huff
"Mr Vladimir, is it true that Y/n's Mother died in the arms of the Soldiers of Mantishpa?"
"Yes"
"But is it true that you have no good reasons on why you ordered your people to kill them?"
"No, I have a reason"
"And what is it?"
"In the exact day of F/n's execution, the mother of Y/n was planning on doing something to take us down" Vlad lied
"Do you have any exact ideas on what is the Plan of M/n?"
"Yes, I saw it in my own eyes that M/n was whispering something to Y/n while eyeing me with those disgusting stare of her" The President expressed the lie making Y/n tense.
The poor girl who knew everything wanted to stand up and drop kick the president but both of her arms were getting held down by Technoblade.
Everything continued as the President is making more and more lies. It continued for another 20 minutes until the Public Defender was out of questions.
"Thank you Mr. Vladimir. I have no further questions and no other witnesses, Your Honor" The Public Defender sat down
"Does the Prosecution have any questions?" The judge once again asked
The Deputy DA stood up "Yes, your honor. Mr. Vlad, you mentioned that F/n was the only person who commited crime but M/n got executed?"
The President Gulped "I uhm..I look, she was the wife of F/n, so there are big possibilities that she will commit crimes soon, so I had to execute her before something will go wrong again"
"Thank you. I have no further questions" The Deputy ended and sat down
"The Witness is Excused. Does the defense rest?"
The Public Defender stood up "Yes, your honor"
The Judge slammed his hammer before talking "Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I am now gonna read to you the law that you must follow in the deciding case" The judge then gave all the law that will he needed. "Are you ready with the final arguements?"
"Yes, Your Honor" The Deputy and the Defender said.
The Deputy stood up and faced the Jury "Your Honor, ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury. The judge has told you that we must prove three things. There is absolutely no question about the first two things we must prove." The Deputy then repeated the three laws that was given. He also said all the evidence and all the needed statements "Base on the evidence, you must find the defendant guilty"
The Public Defender stood up and did the same but it was the exact opposite things that the Deputy have said. He said that the defendant is not guilty.
"Will the jury foreperson please stand? Has the Jury reached a unanimous verdict?" Asked the Judge
"Yes"
The foreperson handed the verdict to the clerk. The clerk then gave it to the judge to read it.
The judge silently read before handing it back to the clerk then to the foreperson.
The room went silent
"The jury finds the defendant...
....guilty."
