I managed to get my life together in a couple of months. I had a small plot of land where I grew strawberry's and black berrys for jam and jelly to sell at the farmers market.
It felt good being in a place were I didn't have to act like the town sweet heart, I actually had my eye on a man about my age since I got here.
He has the booth right across from mine at the market, he sells peas and carrots. His name is Jim. He looks a little like Ivo, but i try to ignore that part. They even have the same voice... Huh maybe I do have a type.
As I brought the last of the jelly boxes out of my car and to my table, Jim was waiting for me "Well howdy" I smiled
Jim smiled back "I was standing at my booth and I noticed you're selling strawberry cupcakes.. That's new"
I blushed "oh yeah.. Just thought I'd try something different" he nodded
The day came and went and it was time to go back home, my empty home.
"See ya later (y/n)!" Jim said as he packed up his booth.
"Bye Jimmy~" I waved as I got to my car
I opened my car door and was about to get in when Jim called out for me "hey (y/n) actually umm" he walked towards my car
"I was wondering.." I looked back at him, he was so cute, he kinda looked like Ivo, but a younger no mustache Ivo. I smiled
"Would you maybe wanna go out.. With me... Like on a date some time..."
I slightly bit my lip "oh!" I said "I actually" i thought about Ivo, I should really move on.
"Yes I would love to go on a date"
He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck "wow I didnt think you would say yes haha so you wanna do tomorrow?"
"Yeah tomorrow is good!" I said pulling my phone out of my purse
"You wanna give me your number?" I asked handing him my phone. He nodded and punched his number into my contacts.
I saved it as Jim
"Cool so... See you tomorrow" he said
I nodded "see you tomorrow"
They rest of night came and went and I was already getting out of the shower and getting ready for my date with Jim.
I put on a nice smelling lotion followed by perfume and a (whatever style you want) dress, with (whatever style you want shoes).
I took one last look in the mirror and smiled at myself. Shoit, I'm cute as hell!
I grabbed my keys and headed to my car, I decided I wanted to meet up with him insteaf of taking his car, just incase the date isn't that good.
Jim told me to meet him at a small dinner place 2 minuets from my house. When i parked my car and pulled my phone out to text him.
"Hey I'm here :)
"Hi I'm by the front door
I looked up from my phone to see Him standing by the entrance of the building.
I got out of my car and walked towards him. "Hi!" I said happily as I got closer.
"Hey" he smiled back "you look great" he added as he opend the door for me.
"Thank you" I said stepping inside the restaurant. A hostes greeted us, she was a thin woman with blond hair that was swept to the side in a low ponytail.
She was smilling but it soon faded when her eye met with Jim's
She looked like she was trying to keep hee composure. "Good afternoon.." She started "right this way"
She lead us to a table in the back, it was a romantic setting, low lighting, lush green plants, and a velvet red booth. It looked almost too fancy for this town.
"Here you are" she said, we sat down and she gave us 2 menus "your waitress will be with you in a moment.
As she walked away I looked back at Jim "she looked scared"
He shrugged already looking at the menu "I didn't notice"
I brushed it off and picked up my menu. Everything here looked kinda gross, exept.. Ah there it was, (Comfort/food). I smiled to myself.
"Ok I know what I'm getting"
The waitress walked up "howdy folks"
She had a soft sothern accent like she was from northern Tennessee. "Can i start y'all off with some drinks?"
"Yeah can i-"
"I'll have a scotch ale and my date will have a (drink you don't like)"
Uh oh thats kind of a red flag "I I'll actually have a (preferred drink)"
Jim raised an eyebrow at me
"Coming right up! and are y'all ready to order" I nodded telling her what I wanted.
Jim looked a little frustrated but he told her what he wanted and she went off.
"Why would you order somthing that expensive?" He said in a snap
I smiled not knowing if this was a joke or not "I'm paying for myself so I dont see a problem"
He cocked his head back "why do you want to pay for youself?"
I shrugged "its our first date, I dont want you to pay for everything" I lied, it was really because growing up I was told to always pay for yourself on the first couple of dates so you don't have to 'owe' them any 'favors'.
Jim's demeanor changed. He looked angry but was quiet about it. I feel like this is another red flag.
Dinner came and went and after a couple beers him softend up. He was sweet and sat on my side of the booth to put his arm around me.
"You are so beautiful" he said, the smell of beer on his breath.
He began whispering dirty things in my ear and honestly, I was kind of rolling with it.
"You wanna go back out to my car?" He asked
I thought for a second. I havent been with somebody since Ivo and its been hard.
"Sure" I said
The waitress came up to the table and set down a check. "Oh no, im actually paying for myself-"
"No no no (y/n) dont worry about it! I can pay" Jim said
I bit my lip "no I can pay" I began taking digging in my purse for my wallet. Until he slammed his hands down on the table "No!"
"I'm the man! I pay!" He took his card from his wallet and slammed it onto the small resept tray
The waitress took it was hurried away. "Now lets go back out to my car" he said pulling my arm
"But your card?" I said back, grabbing my purse as he pulled me from the booth.
"I can come back and get it later"
Before I knew it I was in the back seat of his car, he was giving sloppy drunken kisses.
"Lets take this off" he pulled at the hem of my dress
"Wait" I said stopping him "I dont know if we should be doing this.. You're kinda drunk and"
He pulled me close to him "oh sweetheart come on"
I shook my head slightly "n..no"
He rolled his eyes "I thought a girl like you would want to fuck"
What the hell did he? "What does that mean?"
He scoffed "ya know,, a girl who looks like you?" He said in a snotty tone. "I guarantee you've never done anything with a man in your life haha"
"I knew you were itching it get me to fuck you, i don't blame you tho, I am pretty excellent"
I didn't know what to say,
But I knew what to do.
I reeled my arm back, closing my fist and punched him right in the nose. I hit him so hard he fell backwards and hit the window. Blood poures onto his chest and hands.
I opend the car door and and got out as he gawked at me, holding his bloody nose "dont ever talk to me again you cheap fucking asshole"
I dug in my purse to grab out 10$ "nd this is for sinner you fucking freak"
I slammed the door as he opend his mouth to speak to me and hurries to my car across the parking lot.
As I got in my car and locked the doors i could see him getting out of the back seat of his car.
He yelled something at me but I didnt listen and I decided to drive home.
