Ming's pov:
We brought Luna and Lea home the next day after we finished putting up the screens and setting things up.
They strutted around but didn't really jump on stuff.
P'pha's phone rang just as we sat down.
He groaned and took it out.
I chuckled.
"I'll just take this call." He looked at me after cheking the caller ID.
I smiled and nodded.
He went out to the backyard and took the call.
I looked at Lea and Luna who were now glued to the screens around the pond.
I chuckled.
"Luna, Lea." I whistled.
They immediately perked up and came up to me.
I took some of the toys we had bought.
I tossed them around and played around with them for a while.
Luna liked the laser pointer out of all of them and Lea liked the squeaky ball.
"Ming." P'pha called me.
I turned towards him.
"I got a call from uncle Finn. He wants my help with a surgery." He said slowly.
I blinked.
"Then you should go p'." I said.
"But you...." He frowned.
"I'll be fine. I have these two with me." I chuckled.
He pursed his lips. He still looked unsure.
"I'll keep the doors locked and I'll keep my phone close so i can call if anything happens ok?" I assured him.
"Are you sure you'll be ok?" He asked.
"P' I'll be fine. Really." I smiled.
He sighed.
"Ok fine. But the moment anything happens-"
"I'll call. Don't worry." I chuckled.
He nodded and went out after grabbing his keys.
I went around and locked all the doors and windows before going back to Luna and Lea.
We played around for a while testing all the toys we had bought.
They didn't like some of them. I made sure to keep those ones separate.
Around 30 minutes later, the doorbell rung.
I tilted my head.
"Who could that be?" I muttered.
I went and looked at the intercom.
It was a girl. A very pretty one at that.
She looked like she's around p'pha's age.
I decided to talk through the intercom.
"Um who are you?" I asked.
She looked straight at the camera with a frown.
"Isn't this Pha's house?" She asked.
"Please answer my question first of all." I replied.
"You don't need to know kid. Tell Pha Pring is here." She answered sassily.
I remember that name.
The girl who called p'pha.
I started getting irritated.
"He's not here." I said.
She gritted her teeth.
"Then open the door. I'll wait for him inside." She crossed her arms.
"Not happening. I'm not letting a stranger inside while he's not here." I said firmly.
She clicked her tongue.
"Do you even know who i am?!" She yelled.
"Nope." I deadpanned.
She was taken aback by that.
"And i don't care who you are. So please leave." I continued before she could say anything.
She scoffed.
"Open this door right now." She growled.
"Not happening." I answered.
"Fine then. I'll get a someone and open this door myself." She took out her phone.
I pondered on what to do.
I can't move anything heavy enough to block the door.
I took my phone.
P'pha would be busy right now....
Just as i was about to call p'Forth, my phone rang.
It was p'Kit.
I smiled widely.
"Hello p'."
"Hey Ming. Pha said you're alone at home. So me and Kit are on our way to keep you company for the day." P'Yo's cheerful voice came from the other end.
My smile widened.
"How far away are you?"
"Around 30 minutes away. Why?" He asked.
"Umm... Do you know a girl named Pring?"
"Yeah. Wait don't tell me she's there?"
"Yeah. She's calling someone to open the door for her after i refused to open it." I said.
"We'll be there as fast we can. Don't open the door no matter what." He said firmly.
I hummed.
I looked down when i felt something nudging my legs.
Lea and Luna were looking at me expectantly.
I chuckled.
"Come on." I went with them to the living room and sat down on the couch cuddling them.
Lea was curled around me and Luna was on my lap.
Around 15 minutes later, i heard the sound of the door being unlocked.
Oh no....
I gulped and hugged Luna tightly.
They were both alarmed when Pring ran in.
"You.... Who the fuck are you?" She frowned deeply when she saw me.
"That's none of your business. You're trespassing into someone else's house. Leave." I answered as confidently as i can.
She stomped towards me.
Lea jumped off the couch and started barking at her.
She was surprised and stumbled backwards.
I took my phone and called P'Kit.
I put it on speaker.
"Leave already." I hissed.
"I'm not leaving until i see Pha!" She yelled.
"I told you he's not here! And didn't he tell you he doesn't want to see you?!" I yelled back.
She gritted her teeth.
"No! He's just mistaken! He will accept me! I'll talk to him and convince him!"
What the fuck....
I clenched my jaw and kept quiet.
I could tell she was getting more and more agitated.
I didn't want to push her too much and risk her throwing a physical fit. I know i wouldn't stand a chance if that happened.
She suddenly took a vase on the coffee table and threw it at my head.
I managed to duck in time and it hit the wall breaking into pieces.
Lea pounced onto her making her fall onto her back.
"Ming! Are you ok?!" P'Yo's frantic voice came from my phone.
"Yeah. I'm fine. It didn't hit me." I answered.
Lea was holding her down barking continuously.
Luna jumped onto the coffee table and hissed at her as well.
Pring looked terrified now.
So she's scared of dogs huh...
"Back." I went upto her and patted her head.
She slowly got off of Pring and stepped back.
But she was still growling at her.
"Get the fuck out. Next time I'm not stopping her." I hissed.
She got up and glared at me.
She tried to step towards me but Lea got between us.
Luna jumped onto her out of nowhere and scratched her face surprising me as well.
She landed on the floor and hissed at her.
"My face! You just ruined my face!" Pring yelled while covering her face with her palms.
"I warned you! Now get out of here already!" I growled.
"You'll pay for this!" She shouted before running out.
I turned to Luna and Lea.
I knelt down and patted them.
"Thanks guys." I smiled.
They leaned into the touch and purred.
Just then i heard rushed footsteps coming in.
P'Kit and P'Yo ran in.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" P'Yo checked my body.
"No p'. These two didn't let her come near me even." I chuckled.
They turned to Luna and Lea and smiled.
"You make great bodyguards huh?" P'Yo reached out to them.
Lea barked excitedly while Luna turned away from his palm.
"Awww... She doesn't like me..." P'Yo mumbled sadly.
Me and P'Kit chuckled.
"Cats are not as friendly as dogs. It's ok. She likes you it seems." He pointed at Lea who was looking at p'Yo excitedly.
He smiled widely and patted her.
Luna jumped into my arms and settled on my shoulder.
I scratched her head making her purr.
"What are their names by the way?" They turned to me.
"This one is Luna." I gestured at her.
"And she's Lea." I pointed at her.
They nodded.
"Pring was covering her face and crying. Do you know why?" P'Kit looked at me.
I smiled sheepishly.
"Luna scratched her face when she tried to come close to me."
They raised their eyebrows.
"Nice one Luna." P'Yo grinned.
We chuckled.
We cleaned up the broken vase pieces and played around with Luna and Lea.
Luna seemed to not mind p'Kit but didn't like p'Yo.
"Why does she hate me only? Do i smell bad or something?" He frowned.
"I don't think that's the case p'. She's not very fond of p'pha either. She wouldn't let him touch her even." I said.
"Ok i feel better now." P'Yo sighed happily.
We laughed and shook our heads.
