"Could you all be any more fucking noticeable?" I groan, covering my face with the pillow that was once sitting on the couch.
"I mean, I can write that you like her on the whiteboard if you'd like. Would that be noticeable eno-"
"Chase!" I throw the pillow at the boy sitting next to me. "No- just... no!"
"Heyy!" he whines, turning his body to the side— shielding me from his hand that's holding a coke can. "You nearly sent my drink flying... fuck you, man. Not cool."
I roll my eyes at the childish boy, blowing out a puff of air as Drew, Jonathan and Austin sit on the couch in front of us. "Stop stressing, bro. I'm sure she feels the same way." JD shrugs.
I shake my head. "I doubt it... her and I have always just been close friends. This is just gonna scare her off. Plus, she probably doesn't date anymore because of Lenny."
Drew let's out a short chuckle. "Dude, don't compare yourself to him. He's a dickhead... you're not the same person."
"She's completely over him. The whole thing happened nearly a year ago now. I'm sure she's ready to move on." Austin adds.
"You're both adults," JD explains. "You can work this out like adults, y'know, by communicating." he smirks, emphasising the 'communicating' part.
"Oh!" Chase suddenly shouts, digging his hand into his pocket after a ringing noise goes off. "Message from Maddie... hold on, let me tell you the news."
I roll my eyes and slump back into my chair, going over all the embarrassing scenarios in my head that could possibly happen if Sydney doesnt feel the same way.
Her and I became really good friends while filming. We kinda drifted once Outer Banks aired though... the fans could sometimes get too much with their whole 'sudy' fantasies. Chase once read a fanfiction to me. Let's just say that I didn't talk to Sydney for a solid two days after it... it was a bad experience.
Throughout the filming process I had noticed I'd caught feelings for her. At the time it was way harder to deal with than it is now because she had just broken up with that Lenny kid. But now that she's been single for a while, the stress has sort of lessened.
"Okay- hm... let me see what we have here- ah ha!" Chase points his finger into the air like an idiot, clearing his throat before continuing. "Okay, so, it's been confirmed that she thinks you're hot."
I furrow my eyebrows. "...what."
He throws his phone into my lap, taking a sip of his coke. "Read."
I do as he says and pick the phone up, reading through the multiple screenshots that Madelyn has sent to Chase of the chat between the three girls. After getting through the endless amounts of Harry memes and caps lock messages, I had found out that the girl did indeed think I was hot and was happy to know that I was interested in her.
A small smile makes its way onto my face as I read over the messages once more, feeling some of the weight in my shoulders release.
"Alright, that smile is telling me that somethings good. If you want me, I will be writing Rudy's wedding vowels on the whiteboard. See ya, losers." Chase says before standing up and sprinting towards the front door of our apartment like a little boy.
I widen my eyes and throw the phone onto the couch, taking off after him. "Oh my Go- Chase, no! Get back here! Fuck-"
