Rhea's pov:
I sat in the stadium with Ruby and the team along with velvet and Fox of team CFVY. Watching the fight between Emerald and Mercury, and Coco and Yatsuhashi. As I looked, I saw the themes being picked and the countdown for the battle beginning. When the countdown ended, Emerald and Mercury backed away to the tall grass, I'm guessing for a hiding spot. My head turned to Coco who turned her bag to a minigun and shot at the grass, when she did, the tall grass was shortened and there was no sign of Mercury or Emerald anywhere. I turned to Ruby who was looking at me curiously and I just shrugged and we turned back to the fight. As both teams fought, I had to admit that Mercury's moves were quite impressive, and I was confused on where Emerald was. Then a chain was wrapped around Coco and pulled her into the forest.
I turned to Violet who looked a bit worried along with Fox and turned back to the fight, and looked closer to see Coco still standing and shaking slightly in fear while Yatsuhashi was knocked out literally thanks to Mercury and Coco had her minigun out. The next thing I knew, Coco was knocked out by Emerald and Coco was laying next to Yatsuhashi, passed out. I turned to Velvet again and saw her being comforted by fox. After the battle was over, a lot of people booed, which I'm guessing was aimed at Emerald and Mercury. Both me and Ruby stayed in our seats waiting for the next fight while Velvet and Fox got up from their seats and walked out, I'm guessing to see if Coco and Yatsuhashi were ok. Ruby and I looked at each other and to Blake, and yang who were two rows away from us. Weiss on the other hand, I had no clue where she was, probably with her sister.
Rhett's pov:
I looked at my teammates as we walked onto the battlefield where we looked at each other and nodded. Then we faced in front of us and walked out into the center of the battlefield.
"Presenting team ROZE from haven academy " professor Port says as the crowd cheers then professor oobleck builds on that by says "and while these four don't need any introduction I will sure try my best to do so, Starting with their fiery leader Rhett Amber the adoptive son of the huntsman power couple Marshall Holmes and Phea Flae." At the mention of my parents names, I looked at the crowd searching for them . As I looked, I saw a familiar crimson hair walking near Ruby with a man following behind her. Which I immediately recognize them as my parents and smiled wildy as I saw them sit down and smiled back at me waving and giving me a thumbs up for support from my dad. As I looked around I stared at a random section of the stadium and winked, earning the shrieks of our fangirls, 'that's a lot of shrieking.'
I then turned to my teammates and saw ocean look at me disapprovingly. I shrug innocently and turned back in front of me as the professors continued introducing us. 'this is gonna be so much fun i can't wait.' I think then I start to worry 'wait what if Ocean gets hurt i know he has his aura but what if it runs out in the air and he falls he could get really hurt.' As I was in my thoughts, I feel someone shake my shoulders, bringing me back into reality to see that the introductions are over and the arena themes being picked. Me and my teammates pulled out our weapons and got into our fighting positions.
I awkwardly turn to Ocean and ask "wait what is their names?" Ocean just sighed and rolled his eyes, saying "really? Seriously? You weren't listening the entire time? I mean I know you are childish but really?" I just shrug and smirked "I'm not childish, I'm cute!" I say confidently before turning back to see that the landscape around us has changed to a wasteland while the landscape around the other team is now a snowy forest.
"Wait!" I say as the countdown begins " three" professor port announces as i start to panic, " two" I look at my teammates nervously, as they look ready and confident then I turn back to the rival team in front of us "one, begin!" I hear their leader with the wolf ears yell "Una, now!" as I turn to see the girl of their team open up her fan and then suddenly I feel gusts of strong wind coming towards us making Zane and elec fly back while ocean immediately stabs the ground with his sword. "how is she controlling the wind?!" I yell, making my fingers into points and planting them into the ground trying to stay in place.
Soon after the winds stops, I look up to see the leader of the other team rushing at me with his claws out. "hey, we can talk about this were basically brothers " i say using my semblance to light my hands on fire " you're a lynx faunus, I'm a wolf faunus. How in remnant are we related?" he says as i block his claws then punch him in the face sending him backwards "now that's just hurtful." I say with fake sadness as an arrow bounces off my aura near my knee. I turn to the leader "really the knee?" The wolf looks slightly behind him and nods as more arrows rain down on me and my teammates. My aura shimmers as I try to avoid the arrows as the leaders claws comes into contact with my arms.
Sparks fly as i try to block his claws, "so it's a threesome now, kinky " i say with a wink as i roundhouse kick the leader away and transform one of my hands into gun mode and fire into the treeline In an attempt to hit the guy who is shooting the arrows at us, before I can turn back to the leader I get hit hard by his claws sending me flying past ocean who looks at me for a second before slashing the guy he was fighting affectively taking him out of the fight.
Professor oobleck then announces "ooh looks like Ocean Summers knocked out Jason Yami with a mighty slash of his sword." I hear him say as I get back up "so that's what his name was." I say as ocean shakes his head and blocks an attack from the leader guy " go take care of kurosami " he says as i look back at him confused " who?" To which he sighs "The archer guy!" I quickly realized "ooh, ok got it." I quickly did a salute and used my semblance to blast fire behind me, propelling me forward to the forest while avoiding all the arrows flying at me.
As I made it to the middle of the snow forest, I looked around hearing nothing but silence "alright kurosami, we can do this the easy way or the Rhett way." I continue to hear the deafening silence until I hear a branch snap and I quickly turn my hands into gun mode and point them in the direction I thought I heard the snap. I see an arrow flying towards me and I backflip away from it and once I landed on my feet, I start firing bullets at him which causes him to reappear and try to block the bullets with his bow by twirling it around in front of him like a shield.
As I was shooting, I hear the voice of professor port say "and there goes the young Elec Raithe." I stop shooting and turn to the screen in shock and before I can see anything, I'm shot with an arrow to the back "can't I mourn the death of my teammate for two seconds!" I say angrily while transforming my hands into blade mode which makes him turn his bow into swords and get into a defensive stance as I slash at him causing him to block with both of his blades which gives me the opportunity to slice towards his head knocking him out.
As he hits the ground, I hear professor port say "oh, and with that hard punch. Rhett knocked out kurosami, taking him out of the game. Now it's two against three." I walk out of the forest, to run to my team to see if they need any help, when I got out of the snow forest, I saw Zane being kicked up into the air by una and Mason, kicking him back to the ground knocking him out of the game. As I walk towards ocean I hear professor oobleck say "and just like that, Zane was just tag teamed by mason and Una. Now it's two against two."
I stand near ocean looking at the leader, now known as Mason and say "context is very important kids." I say as the girl of their team pulls out bladed fan things . "Ocean you keep the wolf at bay while I take the fox." Ocean nods as we charge at Mason and Una at the center of the battlefield. "you know my mom told me to never hit girls, but I think she'll forgive me this time." I say activating the blades on my boots then aiming a butterfly kick to her head which she promptly catches "well shit" una smirks and slashes at me with her odachi making me jump back and loosing a decent amount of my aura. I look up at una she spoke "well your not as tough as I thought you were." I smirk "oh look, it speaks. Honestly I thought your team was like the others, silent, deadly and easy to beat." Una rolls her eyes at me and then i feel a gust of wind heading in my direction. As the wind was getting stronger, I use my semblance and blasted her, making her fly back and hit the forcefield knocking her out of the game.
I hear port announcing Una's out of the game and I then turn behind me to see mason and Ocean still fighting. I quickly ran over to them to help Ocean, and just as Mason was about to knock Ocean out, I quickly kicked him on his side, making him fly away from ocean and I turned to him smirking "what would you do without me?" Ocean just scoffed and I hear the alarm signalling that the fight is over and both professor port and oobleck announce "and with that, team ROZE wins this battle, letting them move on to the doubles round." I raise my hand to Ocean, waiting for him to high five it. Ocean smiled slightly and high fives me back. I pumped my fist in the air and I turned to the other team and Mason spoke "that was sneaky Lynx. I respect that, we'll see you around." After that, they all left and gave me and Ocean a nod of respect while Zane and Elec joined us. Elec spoke "did we win?" I smiled widely and grabbed his head and put him in a headlock and rubbed his head "yeah we did. We are the champions!" I pumped my free hand in the air while Elec still tries to get his head free and Zane stands near Ocean rubbing his arm.
