Seven Days.
It's been seven days and my whole world had turned upside down. After passing out in the battle, I woke up with a almost healed body so the first thing I did was to get back there and kick some ass which in return crushed mine.
Those hunters, no I can't say these people are hunters because according to Alpha, they didn't want to kill us, they will capture us and run some stupid experiment, make their own version of half breeds. They have been attacking us non-stop which made us realized how well trained they are and how much manpower they have.
The first atrack was so sudden that we lost our 13 wolves. After two days, we were sure that they are attacking us without any warning. So we have to keep our guard up all the time. Thankfully Marcus has come back and good news is that three packs has sent their strongest wolves with him.
Aside from that there are few things that are bugging me like- Emily. I don't know where she is, James is not telling me neither I think he will. I am sure she is safe that is why he can focus in the battle. I tried asking him that but he brushed it off saying it's better if only he knows. I understand his concern so I stopped bugging him about that. Emily and her baby are important so if that's what can keep them safe then fine with me.
Then there is Drew. He is been awfully quite for a while. He is avoiding everyone even me. At first I thought it was his family considering his relationship with them but I don't think it is the reason he is so withdrawn from everyone. Always angry, always ready for blew off which is not so him. I don't know how to corner him and the fact that he is good at avoid a conversation isn't helping. Something is seriously wrong and killing him inside, I don't know what but I can't help if he didn't talk.
And how can I forget that guy, Pasquale. He is like a shadow following me everywhere, everywhere. He is getting on my nerves but I didn't act on that because he is also helping with injured and security. He is not on the front line instead he stays behind and watch over the building where are doctors. Can't afford them getting hurt, can we?
I am not going to count how many members of the pack have breathed their last breath, may be because I have already lost count. I know we are losing both-this battle and our family members. Day by day. Alpha is contacting other packs to help but the packs around us are small in number, their packs are smaller than us. So we have to avoid getting hurt. And avoid dying.
It's just so hreat wrenching that I couldn't bring myself to even look at the corpse or the one who are weeping upon their death. It reminds me of how lonely I am and the one person whom I so badly want to hug, kiss and simply stare, is sleeping or I rather say he is in coma. Either way, I am completely traumatized by all the things happening.
I walked into the kitchen to grab something to eat. There is nothing left, some bread, eggs vegetables and meat. It is not enough to us, we have to eat in order to gain strength. The wolves can't hunt right now, we have no clue when someone decide to attack.
I made omelet and after more searching I found a jar of cookies. I sat on one of chairs and ate in silence, not completely silent but the sound are those which I would gladly not hear.
Screaming, crying, weeping, shouting.
Just some days ago it was children who were screaming out of joy. Pups were crying because someone stole their chocolate. Adults were weeping since their children has successfully finished their first hunt. And we all were shouting in happiness.
Everything has changed.
"Either eat this or give it to me." Drew's voice stratled me. He gave me a bored look and started looking into the freeze. I was tempted to ask him some questions but refrained myself. He took out a plastic box and warmed it then took seat next to me. We were both eating, not attempting any conversation. I saw his food was nearly finished so I cleared my throat to get his attention. He did noticed me but said nothing.
Okay.
"What are doing after eating?" I asked. He chewed his food and thought for a moment.
"Training, I guess. Woods are being patrolled and I have time before my shift so I guess I do that. But first I have to the meeting room, Alpha wants you to be there too." He said, emotions were void from his voice.
"D..."
"Finish your food and come to meeting room,Oliver. We don't really have time to slack off." With that he stood from his chair and left. He is pissing me off, all I want to do is talk to him but clearly he refused to corporate. I quickly finished eating and cleaned both my plate and the box D left.
The meeting was dark, not because there wasn't any bulb. No, everyone's mood was making it dark. The air was thick, so thick it was hard to breathe. We all are tired and scared, we had no clue what should be our next move. Slowly all the remaining high command wolves came and took their respective seats. Alpha was on the phone and we all waited patiently for him to finish his call. He was frowning, his fist were balled tightly and we knew he was seconds away from breaking something. Finally he ended his call but took some time.
"I am really sorry everyone but we have a visitor right now which I have to attend. I hope it won't take long for the meantime you are free to rest. I know how situation is so take as much rest as you want." As Alpha finished, everyone started to leave. No one was complaining to my relief.
"Drew!" Alpha called him and I didn't miss how his body tensed up immediately. He turned his head to him and bowed slightly. "I want you to be there as well and make sure to bring Jake with. You too, Oliver." With that said Alpha also left the room with James and Marcus. Drew glared at the floor as if it was all his fault then shut the door so loudly and it almost creaked.
I followed behind, he noticed it but said nothing then he went up to his room. I debated if I should follow him or not, I thought I shouldn't. So went to the living room instead. Alpha and Luna was seated in the love chair, comforting each other while James and Marcus were discussing something. I saw Pasquale coming from the outside but he wasn't the one who made my guts sink, it was those wolves who were behind him that made me want to puke.

Lamnek, their alpha is a ruthless man in very sense of word. He is a animal in the skin of human who thrives on others blood. Just behind him were Hunter, the beta and Emilio, the third in command. Hunter is just like his alpha, who never thinks before killing someone and to think that Jake dated this piece of shit, is just irritates me more. While the two big wolves are waste of time, Emilio is another story. He is not that scary neither he does things like them but he is one hell of a loyal wolf. I know for a fact that Lamnek can trust his life with. There were more wolves from their pack, everyone was armed. So as soon as they the living room we all were on high alert. Some wolves from pack were outside and some were in the room but I knew they had sensed the foreign power in their home.
Lamnek sat on the couch without a bother and Hunter and Emilio stood behind the said couch. Alpha was controlling himself as were everyone else.
If one pack Alpha loathed the most, it was their pack. Lamnek had done some things which are not acceptable in any sense. He made it so hard for Drew and Jake to mate that it nearly resulted in a full wolf fight but Luna got everything in control. Now Jake lives with us, I know his parents has died a long time ago and his relationship with his relatives is not something to talk about. Anyways, all in all their presence here is not good.
"I thought after so many years, you could be more civilized, Lamnek. But I can see I was wrong." Alpha commented as Lamnek put his feet on the table in front. Not bothered by what Alpha said he flashed him a grin.
"I know you love me either way." Lamnek said then his head turned to my direction but he wasn't looking at me, he was looking at Drew and Jake who were side by side. I can feel the tension rise in the room.
Hunter winked playful to Jake which caused Drew to glare harder. Drew stood to my right and Jake to his right. After a not too long staring contest Marcus cleared his throat.
"Why are you here?" Straight to the point, Marcus.
"We are here to show our grief and see how things are going." Hunter replied still staring at Jake. Drew's posture stiffened more of it was possible. There was a visible gap between them and it was hard to see Jake so I don't know what face he was making.
"Like hell you are. Just say what you want." James said.
"That is also fine." Lamnek mused, "You see, some people came to me a couple of week ago. I was surprised at first but then I listened to they had to offer and we made a deal. The deal was quite simple they wanted to know somethings about this pack which wasn't hard to provide." My heart started beating fast at that. "I guess you know who gave me all those informations." Lamnek continued.
"I am afraid I know." Alpha said with a calm face. My head snapped in his direction. He knew!
"Yet you let them doing what they were doing." Alpha didn't answer that.
"What did you get out of that?" He asked instead.
"None of your bussiness. Now as you know neither you have manpower nor any alliance to continue this. So as your friend and well-wisher, I am here to offer you a deal."
"A deal?" James asked.
"Yes. If you send Emily with us, they will stop whatever they are doing right now." Hunter stated. We all growled threateningly, they growled back. I didn't know they knew about Emily. I thought it was just between a few members that she is pregnant but I guess I was wrong. But how did they find out?
"In your fucking nightmare." James almost jumped on Hunter but Marcus stopped him gripping his arm tightly. They were both growling, threatening each other which went for a few minutes.
"I'll take it as a no then." Lamnek said cutting them both off. He wasn't affected by any of us.
"I suppose. Now you may leave." Alpha answered.
"Not so soon, Andre. You know they are stronger than you so it will be wise if you corporate. Give Emily to them and your whole pack, what's left of it can live a peaceful life." Lamnek said, eyeing us all then his eyes locked on me. "Well you have another option, Oliver. I won't promise you his safety sinve it isn't in my hands." Lamnek gestured towards me.
"You are not taking anyone with you." Marcus concluded.
"So you want to do thing hard ways, I see." Just as Hunter said that he growled so loud that it pierced my ears, followed by other wolves from BloodRain pack. Hunter changed into his wolf and lunged at James just as Marcus ran to the door to stop two wolves from their pack. Drew was about to ran outside when something hard made contact with my head.
"Sorry buddy." Jake said as he hit me again and again. I lost my balance and Drew ran to me, he hold against him. My head was spinning and I don't know why because Jake it my head or Jake hit my head.
"This is your last mistake, Jake." That was last thing I heard Drew say.
