hey there! my name is kai and I really love umbrella academy especially number five cuz he do me bad.
most of the fanfics i read here is not the relationship id imagine five would have for a female partner. like, where's the thrill, the romance, the excitement? no. its literally just five becoming all sweet at the first chapter it's a ta bit awkward for me to read. people may seem to like it but it's just not my cup of coffee.
and so I decided to write this book for all my fellow fangirls out there who are also hungry for our savior, number five.
before proceeding here are some reminders, previews, disclaimers, and warnings.

|| ok but like seriously, they arent blood related (and they were not in eachother's presence half of their childhood lives in this book) therefore it's not incest and i do not tolerate this kind of act. number five and number eight [{(Y/N)}/You] has no blood relation whatsoever just to clear things up, they were adopted. considering the fact that they just grew up as members of the umbrella team and just referred themselves as brother and sisters. like bro ur dad dont give a shit ab u then ur mom is a robot then u have a pogo maid and 30 minutes playtime on saturdays i would lose my shit too and prolly have feelings for a mannequin. meaning they grew up as a dysfunctional family. though if they were to raised and treated like what real family should be then that's when it gets weird. ||

1. I do not owe The Umbrella Academy, it belongs to their rightful owners I am just a hopeless romantic girl writing fanfictions about guys that don't exist so I owe (Y/N) and her attributes.
2. This story will be based on the events that happened in the show but with you in it and your relationship with Five. This book will also focus on the romance between you and Five but of course, I'll also include the action scenes and other parts. I'd also include some character development. And as much as possible I'll try to add some itsy bitsy changes so it won't feel like ya'll are just rewatching the show.
3. You will have a love-hate relationship with Five to increase the stomach in butterflies feels to a whole new level okay. It does NOT mean there will be no romance but I don't want the reader to have a wedding with Five in the first chapter you know? let's make it a bit toxic, well, not toxic I don't see Five being one too. I want an enemy to lovers arc for the thrill and many sexual tensions don't judge me. (it's just always, 'hey wyd' and never 'i hate you but it's boring without you here'.
4. This book will include violence, profanity, and possible mentions of sexual themes.
5. I will portray a female reader, a female (Y/N) using female pronouns.
6. Five won't be 13 here, he'll be somewhere the age of 15-16 when he comes back since it's more appropriate to be initiated in showing affection and having scenes suitable for both of you since this is an X-reader.
7. Obviously, you'll be Number Eight. Your last name will be Hargreeves.
8. And to be fair, you are also 15-16 here. Having a coma, you didn't age for some reason so basically you are 29 years old in the present time but in a teenage body. And I also think having the reader as an adult and then shipping with a minor Five is kinda weird and wrong.
(let's also make five 36, so he's 36 before he got transported back to the present time and became a teenager cuz shipping the reader with a senior is mEEP) 😐
9. I'll try to change some dialogues but I won't entirely change their personalities and the episodes.
10. Credits to the owner. I will post gifs and pictures that I will find on the internet just dm me if you wanna take it down it will be no problem.
11. Please disregard the mistakes, misspellings, and grammatical errors. I plan to edit the entire book after I complete it. I'm no expert author or editor as well so bear with me guys.
12. I will write the events by memory so forgive me if I didn't get them in order. Though, I am rewatching while writing but I'm still not 100% confident ykyk.
13. I might make up scenes that never happened in the show but not enough to change the whole story, so don't worry.
14. I'll include additional stuff such as relationships you have with the main characters so that it'll feel like you're really in their world.
15. Each chapter will contain about 1000-4000 words.
