- Jacob's POV-
-Day After the Ball (after school) -
"Ughhhh! All these girls sound like dying cats!" Matt yelled covering his ears when yet another girl trying to attempt a high note.
"I think, I'll go deaf if I withstand another minute of this" I said to him, then looked at the girl and bluntly told her that she sounded like pure shit. I felt kinda bad when she ran away in tears, but I got over it.
A girl with blonde hair and bright green eyes stepped up and smiled shyly.
"Um, I want the extra credit" she said and we nodded
"Ok, proceed" I said and gestured with my hand. As if she was gonna make it!

I absolutely detested this song, but she wasn't half bad. At least she didn't sound as Matt so lightly put it "a dying cat". I stopped her there and slightly smiled.
"We'll be in contact" I told her and she nodded
"Sooooo, was she the ONE?!" Matt said excitedly
"No" I said bluntly and he face fell
"Great, now we have to continue the torture. Remind me why I am your friend again?" He said and leaned back into his chair.
"Because I actually listen to when you blabber on and on about Daniella." I said and smirked evilly when he turned a bright red.
This morning Matt told me that at the dance he kissed her and it was amazing. He literally talked about it for an hour and he said he was going to finally ask her out tomorrow or so. I was really proud of him, but their kiss couldn't have been anything like the kiss I shared with a girl last night.
When the lights came off I started feeling around for anyone and I felt the wrist of someone. I pulled the person and kissed them. I smelt perfume so I new it was a girl and not a guy. God! I f it was a guy, I would've totally barfed. When my lips touched the girls I felt like the whole world disappeared but as that lady started counting down I came back to my senses. I smelled coconut as I kissed the girl's forehead and I only knew one girl who's hair smelled like coconuts.
Jasmine.
I just kissed my friend's girlfriend, my enemy, Jasmine. Why? Why, universe?! I had to leave I kissed her one last time and ran away as fast as I could've ran. That was the best kiss I'd ever had but why did it have to be with her?
"Dude" Matt whispered and I looked up
"This girl's being singing for the past 3 minutes and you haven't said anything. Is she the one? I certainly hope not because even I can sing better then her!" he told me with wide eyes and I listened to the girl who continued to sing in front of us.
"Definitely not her." I said with a grimace as her voice cracked in the middle of her terrible singing and I heard Matt sigh in relief.
"Next!" he yelled and I laughed. This was gonna be a looong day.
- Jasmine's POV -
-Day After the Ball (after school) -
"HE DID WHAT!" I yelled as Dill told us the events of last night. We were currently at my house eating pizza. I was trying to stall them about me singing to them for as long as I could without them noticing. I wanted to vomit the pizza I was currently eating, because I knew i was avoiding the inevitable.
"He kissed me!" Dill said. I knew it! Matt and her belong long together and I knew this had to eventually happen. It was only a matter of time before he asked her out.
"Who did you kiss?" Christy asked Marissa and Marissa shrugged.
"Just Peter" she said and smiled lovingly and we rolled our eyes
"What about you?" Marissa asked back Christy
"Sean" she said and started laughing
"What?" I asked her
"He kissed my eyeball at first cause he couldn't see" she said and started laughing even more, we soon joined her fits of laughter.
"Rachel who did you kiss?" I asked her
"I have no idea, but whoever it was had gum in their mouth." she said and made a disgusted face which we all laughed at.
"What about you Jaz?" she asked me and I grinned just remembering the kiss
"I can tell from the look on your face that it was good" Marissa said chuckling
"It was. But I have no idea who it was." I said saddened by the fact.
"Was it better then Ash's kisses?" Rachel asked curiously
I blushed. Of course it was! "N-n-o-ooo" I stuttered but they clearly saw through my lie.
"LIAR!" Dill yelled and Christy laughed
"So it WAS better then Ash's" Christy said with a smirk and I meekly nodded
"I really think you should break up with him" Dill said and we all looked at her in surprise. She just shrugged her shoulders and said
"I never liked him anyway"
"Yeah, why be with someone if it doesn't feel right" Rachel said and I looked down
"Tell me do feel sparks with your with Ash?" Marissa asked me with raised eyebrows
"No" I said softly. I didn't even need to think about it.
"And did you feel sparks with the person you kissed?" Christy continued
"Yes" I replied softly
"You should break up with Ash and if fate allows it you and this mysterious stranger will meet again one day" Dill suggested and I thought about it. Ash was a good person, he deserved someone who would be able to love him with all of their heart and I could'nt do that.
"You guys are right" I said firmly causing them to look at me in surprise
"I'll break up with him, its not fair to him if I date him." I said with a small smile
"Ok, now. Lets forget about this "talk" I want to hear you all sing!" Dill exclaimed and I immediately felt my heart drop into my chest.
"Uhhh, I cant really-" I started
"NO EXCUSES!" Marissa yelled at me and I glared
"Fine" I huffed. My friends are very determined people.
We walked up to my room and closed the door. Rachel sat on my desk chair, Dill sat on my bean bag chair, Christy sat on my small couch and Marissa jumped on my bed. I sat on the couch with Christy. First Christy went. She stood up and began

"Yes, you can." Christy said and rolled her eyes.
"Your turn" Marissa said and looked at me. I visibly gulped. What to know my real story? I'll tell you. Remember when I said no one knows that I sing? Well someone did know. Suzy and Jared Taylor. They were twins that I had known since I was a child. We were best friends but one day in 5th grade we were playing "talent show" at their house and I decided to sing a song I had made. Suzy also sung but Jared danced. I was at the top of the stairs when I was singing and when I finished my song Suzy, for some reason pushed me down the stairs.
"You sound stupid" she sneered at me as I lied on the ground from the impact.
My mother had took me to the hospital and I had broke my foot and wrist. Suzy and her brother bullied me at school when I went back, saying mean things and pushing me sometimes. But they moved at the end of 6th grade and I didn't have to be tortured by them anymore and I started singing again after 3 years. I never told anyone because I was scared that that would become like Suzy and her brother towards me. I never found out why they acted this way, but I didn't care. I felt a tear roll down my cheek as started to remember the meanest thing she told me "You should just kill yourself. No one cares about you" she knew that my parents were never home at that time and she used it against me.
"Hey, are you crying?" Rachel asked me and I realized I was crying. I wiped my tears and took a deep breath.
"I guess, I am. Sorry" I laughed without humor and they all looked at me cautiously.
"I'm sorry guys. I am such a shitty friend" I said with a frown.
"What do you mean?" they all asked
"I've been keeping something form you guys" I said and sighed deeply. I then dived into the memory. When I finished they all had different looks on their face. Christy looked really sad, Marissa was frowning, Dill looked like she was about to cry, Rachel's mouth was open a bit and she had wide eyes. But they all looked shocked.
"We had no idea" Dill whispered and frowned
"Oh my god" Christy said with a sympathetic look on her face
"Geez" Rachel whispered
"THOSE BITCHES!" Marissa yelled and we all loked at her
"HOW CAN THEY DO THAT!" she said and crossed her arms. I laughed and everyone else else chuckled
"Only you, Marissa. Only you" I said shaking my head. They all came over and hugged me.
"You know we'd never do that to you right?" Rachel said sincerely and they rest of them agreed with her
"I know. I don't know why I was so scared. You guys are the best!" I said and smiled hugging them back.
"You know you don't have to sing if you don't want to" Christy said and they all nodded
"No. I want to" I said determined
"Ok" Christy said and they all smiled. I walked over and grabbed my songbook. The I picked up my guitar. I opened to the page I wrote 4 years ago. My friends looked at me intently and I started strumming then I closed my eye sand started to sing.

"You wrote that?" Dill whispered in shocked and I nodded shyly
"That was amazing!" Marissa said
"Yep" Rachel said
"It was soooooo good" Christy said in awe
"Thanks guys" I felt warmth inside of me. I'm really happy I told them.
"NOW LETS GOT GET SMOOTHIES!" Marissa yelled and ran out the door. Yep, I am really happy I told them. I smiled and followed everyone out the door. But will I be brave enough to audition with my friends?
