I put on my annoyingly tight school uniform on in the morning. I couldn't wait for the student protest against the uniforms. Angelica had always hated the school uniforms skirts. She hated how girly they made her look, and onetime she confessed she'd rather tell everyone she was a boy so she could wear the boy uniform instead of wearing those skirts.
Unlike her, Lafayette loved the skirts. He wished he could wear one, especially near the start and end of the year when its so hot out some boys decided to just not wear pants at all. Angelica and Lafayette one time even traded their pants and skirts for a day. They got terribly punished.
So, me and my friends organized a protest. Boys would wear skirts, girls would wear pants. They didn't have to be the school uniform skirts and pants, most of us just bought some random clothing from the target a couple blocks away.
The protest would be tomorrow. I couldn't wait. Even though I felt weird about the idea of wearing a skirt, it would be fun and supportive. I decided to buy a rainbow skirt to show my pride as well. The only problem is... We didn't have someone to make a speech.
I sighed as I finished putting on my uniform. That's when the idea hit me. Alexander! He posted amazing poetry on Twitter all the time. I bet he would be a great person to make a speech, with his way with words. Plus him wearing a skirt actually sounded really cu- Nope.
"Hey guys, can I ask Alexander to come over and make the speech at the protest?" I asked Lafayette.
"Aw, you just cant wait to see him again," Lafayette said, making kissy noises.
I blushed, but tried to hide it by looking away.
"I'm just teasing you. If you think Alexander would be a good choice, the text him," Lafayette said.
I immediately opened up my phone.
JohnTheTurtle: Alleeeexandeeeeeer
AlexanderHamilini: ?
JohnTheTurtle: Want to make a speech at a protest for my school?
AlexanderHamilini: Sure, anything for you.
I tried to contain my blushing. Anything for you. Eeeeee!
AlexanderHamilini: What time?
JohnTheTurtle: Tomorrow morning
AlexanderHamilini: Sure!
JohnTheTurtle: Wear a skirt!
AlexanderHamilini: Oh its one of those protests? Fun! I'll wear a skirt and powder my hair and tie it up in a black ribbon and wear a war uniform.
JohnTheTurtle: Please don't
AlexanderHamilini: Fine. Any color skirt?
JohnTheTurtle: yeah, I'm wearing rainbow
AlexanderHamilini: I'll do purple and pink and blue.
JohnTheTurtle: Bi flag? or concidence?
AlexanderHamilini: *Coincidence. Are you coincidentally wearing a gay flag?
JohnTheTurtle: No um- Just random colors
AlexanderHamilini: Then same for me. Random.
AlexanderHamilini: See ya there!
I put my phone away.
"Hes coming," I said to Lafayette.
"Perfect!" Lafayette smiled.
I left with Hercules and Lafayette to first period. Then the second. Suddenly I was at study hall with my friends, the day passed by quickly. I got a ding from my phone and looked at my text messages.

AlexanderHamilini Has sent a video.
I watched, amazed, at the video. Abraham/Alexander and Christopher where loading some muskets, hiding in a trench, the sound of gun fire in the background. Wow, Alexander was doing a great job. He had this determined look on his face, which was covered in dirt. He finished re-loading his gun and he peeked his head over the trench.
It flashed to Christopher aiming his gun at a actor in a red war uniform. Christopher shot his gun, and hit the person directly in the chest. Suddenly there's a shout of 'retreat'. The video ended. I remembered that exact scene from the book- it was the famous battle of Monmouth.

AlexanderHamilini: Thanks :) We re-did that scene a couple times because me and Christopher broke out laughing when they shouted 'retreat' for some reason. I dunno, it just sounded so funny. Maybe because their voice cracked the first couple times.

I finished up texting John. Wow. He was so nice and sweet. and he cant wait to see me again!
"Ham!" Someone shouted.
I turned around to see Frank, the guy playing Christopher. We just called each other by our names in the movie. For me, he was Christopher, for him, I was Abraham. Although Frank sometimes called me Ham. He was walking towards me with a girl. Dang shes cute.
"This is the newest member of the crew. She's a camp follower, but also secretly a spy," said Christopher/Frank dramatically.
"Nice to meet you miss..." I said.
"Reynolds. Maria Reynolds," She said, smiling at me.
She lifted up her hand and I kissed it. She giggled a bit.
"Nice to meet you," I smiled.
"So, I heard you're going to a protest?" She asked.
"Yeah, at a college," I said, blushing slightly.
"Can I come?" She asked.
"Oh well its more of a thing for a friend," I said awkwardly. "Sorry."
"Okay," She seemed disappointed.
"See ya later?" I asked.
"Sure," She said, and turned away.
"Abraham got his eyes on a guuuuuuurl," Christopher joked.
"Christopher about to get hit with a booooooook," I said, glaring at him.
"Abe, wanna go sneak into the British camp and rob some baguettes?" Christopher asked.
"Chris, it would be my pleasure," I said, smirking.
Together we raced off through the fields towards the stable full of horses. We chose our usual horses, hoped on them, then rode off across the frozen field towards the British camp. In the movie the would make the British camp seem like its miles and miles away, but it was really just across the field behind the scenes.
I slowed my horse down as we entered the area. A couple actors still wore their uniforms, they sat outside the tents talking about Trump.
"Ew look, British people," Christopher laughed.
"Disgusting rebels," One of the soldiers sneered.
"Red is for bad guys!" Christopher said.
"Christopher, I think these are simply men doing their job to their country," I said.
"Abe, stop being Abe," Christopher said.
"You want me to activate Alexander mode?" I asked.
"Sure," Frank laughed.
"Right then," I said, dropping my slightly southern accent and putting on a less smiley and kind face. "YOUR KING WOULD HAVE YOU ALL UNRAVEL AT THE SOUND OF SCREAMS! THE REVOLUTION IS HERE! THE HAVE-NOTS ARE GONNA WIN THIS!"
"Go back to Abe," One of the British soldiers laughed.
I instantly smile again and put on a more cheery vibe.
"Chris, leave these soldiers alone, they are doing what they can for what they believe is the right thing," I said in a slightly southern accent while they laughed.
"Oh, dinner time," Someone commented.
I turned my horse around and galloped back across the field to get some lunch. Wow, what an interesting life. Riding horses through fields every day. What a lucky person I am. Especially to have John in my life. What? That's unrelated to any of this. I barely talk to him.
