II had the idea for this with the help of the handy dandy prompt generator. This was supposed to use a prompt from it but it ended up going WAY off course.

One month before the start of Monster Magic Part 1...
Two boys were walking through a forest on a full moon night. One had a blue t-shirt and big eyes. The other had a red bandana and a white shirt. The boy with the blue shirt had a flashlight in his hand and was in the front. The boy with the bandana was trying to keep close to his friend.
"Keralis, can you slow down a bit? You're going a little fast.", the boy with the bandana said.
"Sorry Bubbles. I'll slow down.", Keralis replied.
"Where did you get Bubbles from?", the boy with the bandana asked.
"It sounds nicer than Bdubs. I like it at least.", Keralis told him.
Bdubs just laughed as they continued through the forest. After about 15 minutes Keralis's flashlight ran out of battery. Bdubs tried seeing if he had any extra but there were none.
"Guess we're going by moonlight now.", Bdubs said a little scared.
They didn't go for long before flying creatures came right at them. They were transparent and small. Bdubs tried to hit one with a stick but it one right through it. Keralis got out a jornal trying to swat them off with was just as effective as the stick. What they didn't notice was a figure in the shadows. They were wearing a hood but they had a feminine body shape. They had a vial of a strange liquid in it. They opened it and the liquid turned into gas and they pointed it in the direction of Bdubs and Keralis. The two boys didn't notice it until they had already inhaled it. Keralis had passed out but Bdubs tried stay awake with no avail. Another figure had appeared at the scene, this time they had a male body shape. They were also wearing a hood and something on their face. The second person snapped their fingers and the creatures started to carry the two boys. The two people then left with the creature close behind, with their guests being carried.

Once Bdubs was awake again he was in a fairly well decorated room. The only thing was that it looked like it was from the medical era or something. The door was locked but there was some water. All that walking did make Bdubs very thirsty so he poured himself a cup and drank it. There were also some books in the room but they were all in some weird language that Bdubs didn't understand so he was just laying on the bed that was in the room for a good while.
A little later Bdubs heard the sound of the door opening and grabbed a candlestick.(If you've played Clue then you this can be a deadly weapon) From what he saw was someone with bright green skin and some robotic parts.They didn't look any older than him. Bdubs held the candlestick shaking a little. When the person saw what he was doing the put up their hands.
"I don't have any intent of hurting you!", they exclaimed.
"Then where am I?!", Bdubs yelled still holding his makeshift weapon.
"I just call it The Mansion. It doesn't have a proper name really.", the person replied.
"Why am I even here then?", Bdubs asked.
"No one wanted to be here. You were brought here by the owner of this place. I'm here to help you get out.", they said.
"I don't even know your name, how am I supposed to trust you?!", Bdubs exclaimed.
"Put down the candlestick then I'll tell you.", they said looking at it.
Bdubs the put the candlestick next to him with his hand ready to grab it if needed.
"Now then, my name is Doc.", the stranger told him.
"I'm Bdubs.", he replied.
"Nice to meet you. Now let's go. If I'm correct your friend should almost be out of here.", Doc said heading to the window.
"We're going to jump from there?!", Bdubs yelled.
"You're going to jump from there. It's too suspicious if I leave too, it's not even like anyone would want me around.", Doc said.
Doc opened the window and threw some pillows down. He also pulled out a rope that he was getting ready to tie around Bdubs but before that, a person with large wings appeared at the window. Their eyes look emotion-less and they were also a bright red.
"We're too late!", Doc yelled grabbing Bdub's hand and running out of the room.
Bdub's room was at the end of the corridor. Before they were able to get anywhere (827 word so far wow. This is longer than usual) a werewolf, or what Bdubs thought was a werewolf appeared. Their expression seemed just as emotion-less but he couldn't see their eyes properly since sunglasses were on their face. Doc looked terrified as they had nowhere to run. Bdubs could see that he was just trying to help him and not trying to trick him. Before he knew it more of that gas was coming. Bdubs tried to not breathe it in but there was no way. He fainted again but this time with fear of would happen when he woke up.
The next time he had woken up, he was back in the bed room. Bdubs knew it was the same one since the candlestick was where he left it, more like where it would've been if it had rolled off the bed. He check the window which was now shut tight. It didn't take long for someone to open the door this time around. It surely wasn't Doc though. They had a lighter skin tone, brown hair, and a pair of glasses on their face. Although that may seem rather innocent, they looked a lot more intimidating. They had red eyes but in a much darker shade, even seemed to have a tint navy blue.
"Why howdy there. My name is Joe Hills, and I own this lovely place. Sorry for that earlier, but leaving without even saying hello to your host is quite rude. I'm also very sorry about that Doc fella, he tends to say things that aren't true about me. Ah, I'm rambling again. Do you mind telling me your name?", the man said.
"B-bdubs", Bdubs said in fear.
"Nice to meet you Bdubs. Do you have any idea where your friend might've gone? They left earlier with the help of someone named Impulse but he refused to tell me where he went off too.", Joe said.
"N-no, sorry. I haven't seen him since we were in the forest.", Bdubs replied trying to hide his fear.
"That's alright then. I'm just going to have to search for him. Not like I had enough people to search for already. Cleo!", Joe said looking towards the door. A girl with mucky green skin and bright orange hair came in a little annoyed.
"Joe for the last time, don't call me when I'm trying to do my hair or I'll break YOUR LEGS!!!", the girl exclaimed.
"Darling, I'm talking to our guest! We want to make a good impression on them.", Joe said to her.
"Joe do I look like the kind of person to care about first impressions to you?", Cleo said.
Joe just rolled his eyes as they continued to talk a little longer. (I'LL GET TO THE PROMPT I SWEAR!!!!) At some point Cleo left the room just as annoyed as she came in and Joe looked back at Bdubs with a sinister grin.
"Now onto business.", Joe said as he snapped his fingers.
A swirlling cloud formed around Bdubs as he felt a weird sensation go through is body. He tried to get out of it but the cloud seemed to follow it. Once it was gone, Joe had left the room and locked the door. Bdubs had no even the slightest idea of what just happened but he felt a little weird after that experience. He was a bit tired since it was pretty late so Bdubs went back over to the bed and played there till he fell asleep.

In the morning Bdubs woke up feeling a bit sick. He was still able to get up and do thing, it seemed to be a small cold and nothing else. The door was open and the hallway was lined with those flying creatures. Bdubs didn't want to interact with them so he stayed in the room until he found a note.
Howdy there, Joe Hills here! You are invited to have some breakfast downstairs with me and my lovely friend Cleo. Sorry again about last night, that's just how some thing work around here. Don't worry the vexes won't hurt you, feel free to explore my wonderful establishment, just keep away from anywhere that's locked! Breakfast is at 9 am.

Seeing the note Bdubs decided to head downstairs, he was a bit hungry after all. All he would have to do is not to seem suspicious of Joe and maybe he would make it out of this place alive.
Once on the first floor Bdubs saw Cleo entering what looked like a dinning room so he followed in making sure to keep some good distance. Once in there was a nicely decorated dinner room with a small table in the center. Judging by the size, this wasn't the main dinning room and more of one when only a small amount of people are eating together, like a meal with only your mom and dad.
"Look who's arrived! Bdubs come and sit with us, I won't bite!", Joe said with a smile. (I like how I was able to make Joe low-key evil but still make him feel like Joe)
Bdubs sat in one of the chair and a vex brought over a plate of pancakes to his spot. There was some maple syrup which Bdubs put on his pancakes. Joe and Cleo were talking and Bdubs preferred not to get into conversation with these two so he mostly just ate.
That was until Joe said, "I'm curious, what did Doc tell you?"
"He just said that you brought me here or something.", Bdubs replied.
"For once apparently he didn't lie.", Joe replied.
"I was the one who found them Joe! Just because you own this place doesn't mean you can take credit!", Cleo exclaimed.
"But sweetheart, if I hadn't told you to go find the loose vexes, you would've never even gone outside!.", Joe said to her.
"That's not true, every night I take a walk with a route that would pass through there! I would've found them either way!", Cleo replied.
"You beat me this time.", Joe said with a chuckle.
Bdubs just looked at them with that face when some tells a joke that's not funny.
"Anyways, Once we find your friend I'll be happy to help you get back out from the forest.", Joe said looking back at Bdubs.
"Really?!", Bdubs replied.
This was making Bdubs confused on what to believe. Was Joe a nice guy or is there something behind the large vocabulary that he has? Bdubs just decided to not trust anyone at the moment before he knew exactly who he can.
After breakfast Bdubs decided to explore a bit. Mostly to know the layout to make it easier for an escape. He had already seen the entirety of the second floor since the stairs were on the opposite end from is room, and the center stairs only go up. Bdubs went through and found the kitchen, the main hall, a bathroom, a room that looked like a staff room, and a locked door. He decided to take Joe's advice on this one and not go poking at it. On the way up to the second floor he saw Doc again. Bdubs ran up to him.
"Doc!", Bdubs exclaimed.
"Bdubs? How are you out of your room?", Doc asked looking behind him at the boy.
"The door was open...", Bdubs replied.
"Who let you out then? I'm guessing Impulse.", Doc said.
"It was actually Joe who left the door open. He invited me to have breakfast with him. And I'm also allowed to wander around this place, as long as I don't go poking at locked doors.", Bdubs told him.
"That's new.", Doc replied.
Bdubs just looked at him confused. Doc was puzzled in reality by what Bdubs has just told him. Doc didn't know what Joe could possibly be up to to let Bdubs just wander.
"Did he make a weird cloud appear around you?", Doc asked, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, what does that do?", Bdubs asked.
Doc didn't say anything for this made him even more confused. He just left and Bdubs continued to explore.

I have no idea how it became this long or why I even made this, but it gave a bit of insight to the MM universe.
