Why do we fear the dark?
The dark- an unknown realm.
We fear the unknown
For it brings insecurity and anxiety.
In a room of darkness,
We feel watched and followed.
Sinister feelings arise.
The unknown would bring either the good or the bad.
A lovely surprise or a brutal sight.
Some don't fear darkness.
Maybe because they know they shall see the Light.
Some embrace it for it helps to hide.
Hide flaws and hide mistakes
The dark will envelope it all.
It's a full moon night today
And the moon is on top of me.
It illuminates my surroundings,
Provides Light.
Yet, I feel strange.
I embrace the Dark and fear it too.
My nightmare visions arise.
Full moon and absolute darkness.
Hide and reveal.
Embrace and fear.
The wind calms the skin,
Yet it makes my skin crawl.
A slight rustling sound
And I escape instead of
Facing it,
The dark, an unknown realm.
It has become quite chilly in here at my place. What about you all?
