Jungkook was getting really impatient because a certain woman didn't pick up his phone. "I absolutely cannot believe how disrespectful this is, Hobi!" Jungkook exclaimed as Hoseok tried calming him down.
"Kook, she doesn't exactly know that it was you who called her. It was a god damn burner phone! Will you please calm down for a moment?" Hoseok huffed trying to keep himself from strangling the younger because he didn't exactly want fights to go down between them. The fact that Taehyung was holding in his laughter wasn't really helping the situation either.
"Taemin thank god! Took you long enough to get the stash of the burner phones!" Hoseok murmured as Jungkook looked up at Taemin who handed the burner phone. "Thank you for finally bringing the phone!" Jungkook said as he rolled his eyes and grabbed the phone before calling Esther again.
"Hello?" A rough yet smooth voice said from the other end making Jungkook smirk in victory.
"Esther, my dear! Took you a long time to respond to my calls. Oh wait! Did you even recognize me, dearie?" Jungkook said with a deep and serious voice making Taehyung shudder at the sound. Never had he seen Jungkook sound so intimidating and that's when he knew how serious the younger was regarding the situation.
"I am sorry, Jungkook. If I had known it was you, I'd have answered. Been having a bit of a problem with prank calls. Is there anything I can help you with?" She said with a bold voice even though everybody knew that she was trembling with fear on the inside.
"I need you to join a Special Task Force of the FBI to catch a particular criminal that you and I share in common. You know what they say, enemy of the enemy is a friend," Jungkook replied with a smirk adorning his face. "And the last time I checked, you had some debts that you needed to clear. In other words, you are indebted to me sweetheart! This will be a fun job, don't you think?"
Jungkook immediately put the phone on speaker making sure that everyone can hear the woman and what she says. They heard a small and dark chuckle from the other side and Taehyung raised his brows in confusion.
"Jungkook, have I ever missed out on a chance to have an adventure? Nope. But, the only problem is with the FBI. Those dumb asses will not cooperate with me. I'd rather bring my own team!" Esther said with a pretty serious tone.
"Well, that is the point, Esther. And not all FBI officials are dumb asses. Maybe we could make it work, you know? I mean, I am sure you can make it work," Jungkook said as he slowly placed his hands on the desk in front of him, leaning on it before continuing. "Or are you incapable of adapting with the FBI methods and joining us to get to your enemy?"
Jungkook knew exactly what he was doing to Esther and so did Taehyung. This was a strategy which made no sense to a lot of people but, it definitely worked on everyone. Jungkook was purposefully hitting Esther on the wrong spot, bruising her ego and capability and trying to get her to work with the FBI through a process of basic human psychology and to be honest, it impressed Taehyung. This made the elder realize that he didn't know a lot of things about the younger making him curious and wanting to learn more.
"Fine. Where do I have to come? And also, how many morons am I going to be dealing with? One last thing, should I bring a few people from my time?" Esther finally inquired as she agreed to the entire collaboration plan making Taehyung smile.
"I knew you'd agree Esther. After all, you're the best in your field. Dealing with a few FBI babies won't be hard. Though I must say, these particular agents are really skilled and talented. Don't underestimate them, toots. You never know what might end up surprising you!" Jungkook exclaimed, his victory smirk taking over his face again.
"Well, you know I love surprises, Jungkook. Can't wait to see what the FBI have in their minds and how capable they are to go ahead and work with one of the top officials of Mossad," Esther sneered. "Now, would you answer my questions?"
"Of course, toots. No need to rush. I will give you the answers. First off, do you have access to all of the Mossad resources and weapons?" Jungkook said almost immediately.
"Of course I do. All the databases and all the weapons, I have got access to all of them."
"That is amazing. So, you have to come alone. The team of yours is not required. Secondly, you are not exactly dealing with morons, you are going to be dealing with pretty experienced agents. Thirdly, how long will it take for you to come to New York?"
"I am already in New York. Have you been observing me or something?" Esther asked suspiciously and Jungkook chuckled before Esther too joined in and started laughing along with Jungkook.
"What a lovely coincidence! Well, then how long will it take for you to reach the FBI headquarters?" Jungkook questioned.
"I will be there in half an hour, most probably. I hope that's fine?"
"That is perfect, dearie. We are gonna start working almost immediately! See you soon!" Jungkook exclaimed before Esther hung up the call and turned to Hoseok. "Throw the phone, will you?"
Hoseok nodded as he gripped the phone from Jungkook's hand and broke it before throwing the remnants in the dustbin. He gave a small smile to Jungkook and looked at Taehyung who was gazing at Jungkook. He slowly started walking away after he slightly nodded at Jungkook who got the point. Jimin too, smiled before grabbing Yoongi and dragging him away while Taemin and Sunmi also started to leave.
"I am going to talk to the boss and get everything settled in," Jin announced, leaning over to Jungkook as he whispered, "You hurt him and I'll rip your existence." He smiled softly as he too, started walking away but, not before smiling at Taehyung earning a soft smile from the latter as well.
"Thank you, Jungkook. You really don't know how much this means to me," Taehyung breathed in a soft and timid voice. The fact that he suddenly started to get nervous around the younger and started getting all these weird butterflies in his stomach scared him a bit. But, he decided to ignore it. For the first time, he decided to be careless and free.
"It is not me that you should thank, love. I am intent on knowing the truth too. This is not for me or for you, it is for us. I want to know about our past just as much as you want to, TaeTae. It's just that, you might know a bit less. For now. I promise that all of your memories will be back, love," Jungkook whispered softly as he placed his hand on Taehyung's cheek, slowly caressing it while drawing patterns with his thumb.
Subconsciously, Taehyung leaned into the touch and smiled softly at the gesture. "I trust you, Jungkook-ah. Please don't break it," Taehyung murmured.
"I couldn't even think of doing that, my love. I would never. You don't know how much I have looked out for you, Kim Taehyung. You don't know......," Jungkook mumbled before pausing for a while. "You just don't know how much I need you, hyung. You really don't."
Taehyung was taken aback for a moment. This was the first time Jungkook had ever called him 'hyung' and it had been so many years. It had been so many years since Taehyung had seen Jungkook and in a way, it triggered his memories. But, he evaded it. He looked at Jungkook with such a tender look in his eyes that made Jungkook want to melt in his hands. Taehyung didn't waste another moment and immediately crashed his lips onto the younger.
'Ecstatic' would be an understatement to describe the emotion that Jungkook and Taehyung were currently going through.
As they moved their lips against each other, Taehyung slowly wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck, fingers knotting themselves in the younger's black locks, lightly tugging them from time to time. Taehyung felt every cell in his body react to Jungkook as he felt electrified with each and every single movement, each and every single touch making him lose more and more control from falling in love with the younger.
Yet, somehow he knew that maybe it was way too soon to develop feelings for Jungkook. Or, was it? To say the least, Taehyung felt confused. Confused by his feelings towards the younger yet, he never wanted to let him go. He wanted to stick to the younger and keep on clinging to him for the rest of his life. But, there was a part of him which told him that it was way too soon to fall in love.
Jungkook on the other hand, knew he was madly in love with the older. After all, how long does it take for a person to fall in love? If you ask me, I'd say four seconds. In Jungkook's eyes, Taehyung was the one for him. He had always been and will always be his first and last love. But, he knew the older needed time to process all of this.
One of the main things that Jungkook observed about Taehyung was that he always analyzed things before actually finalizing them or deciding them. Jungkook knew this would be the same and that even though the older might have already fallen in love with him, he would be way too adamant to accept it and try to fight it. Yet, he decided to give Taehyung all of him. He finally decided to tell Taehyung the truth about himself.
"Don't stop, Kook. Please don't," Taehyung mumbled as Jungkook started moving away. "I won't baby." Jungkook replied, moving his hands from Taehyung's cheeks to his waist as he tightly gripped the older while Taehyung pushed himself closer to Jungkook until there was no more space for them to be even closer as if they already weren't.
Jungkook slowly turned Taehyung around and gripped his thighs as he pushed him onto the desk and Taehyung slowly settled down on the desk. He opened his legs and wrapped them around the younger's waist pulling him closer. Jungkook let out a small groan as the older pushed his tongue in, slowly exploring Jungkook's mouth.
After a heavy make - out session, Jungkook slowly pulled away and looked at Taehyung's flushed face, slowly letting out soft puffs of breath with his eyes still closed. Jungkook smiled at the older and connected their foreheads together.
"You seem tired. What will you do when we take this up a notch, TaeTae?" Jungkook teased, making Taehyung open his eyes and give Jungkook a death glare.
"Try me, baby boy!" Taehyung exclaimed and Jungkook chuckled before Taehyung joined in as well.
