Sometimes life really can be shit, especially when we least expect it. When it finally goes well, something always seem to come forward and fucks it up
"Brooke!?" Autumn hissed
"In the flesh" the girl smirked
"What the fuck are you doing here"
"Is that how you greet me?" The shorter girl pouted
But Autumn's attention moved from her ex and landed on her parents, she knew exactly that it was their doing and she couldn't help but feel that anger rise
"What is the meaning of this" Autumn hissed
"Your mother and I agreed that it would be best for you and your career if you and Brooke went to your opening together. The press will go crazy-"
"Good for me? GOOD FOR ME!? WHEN THE FUCK DID YOU EVER CARE ABOUT WHAT WAS GOOD FOR ME!?"
"Autumn, calm down"
"No, I'm not gonna fucking calm down. Get her out of my house"
"Excuse me?" Brooke scoffed

"You heard me" Autumn said sternly
"Honey, she's here for the weekend. She's not leavin-"
"This isn't your house and you can't make any decisions for me anymore. What part of that don't you understand!?" Autumn yelled at her parents
"And who's house is this?"
"Mine and Kate-"
"So that's what this little gremlin's name is. Kate, interesting" Brooke scoffed before taking a few steps forward
For some reason Kate stood paralyzed at the door, not a muscle in her body moved when the girl stepped closer
Her long straight hair was streaked a light shade of purple and was tossed to the side, her eyes reminded Kate of the forest in the winter, so cold yet so beautiful with its hidden mysteries.
Her hips swayed so smoothly, almost as if she danced to the rhythm of hate yet made it so sensual and intimidating. Her cleavage was already exposed with the tight, low shirt she wore that was rolled up to reveal her stomach.
The girl held a smirk that would make snow-white run from the dwarf's home. And we all know that bitch took up residence
The bottom line was, she was hot and Kate had no idea what to do with herself in that moment
"I see you've downgraded" Brooke chuckled
"Excuse me?" Autumn hissed
"I thought you'd go for someone more fuller, more boobs" The purple hair girl snickered
For some reason, Kate still hadn't fully registered anything that was happening, her mind was blank and her hearing fell on deaf ears. Yet her eyes were still locked onto a trance of Brooke's body language, captured by her like she was under a spell of some kind
"Watch your mouth Brooke, I won't hesitate to snap you like a fucking twig"
The purple hair girl chuckle and snapped her neck around to face her ex
"Oh but you have already, or did you forget?" she smirked
Autumn's lips parted to speak but nothing left. Her brows pulled together as if she was in deep thought, or maybe she had felt something explode in her stomach at the memory of her past relationship
"Autumn dear, let's discuss this like adults. You need a partner for the red carpet soon and Brooke is the best candidate, the media is always so thirty for a mere drop of gossip from the two of you, could you imagine their disbelief when you both show up as each other's date? They'll go crazy, hashtags will be trending with your name"
"Do you even hear yourself?" Autumn questioned
"Yes. Its just business, whatever the hell the two of you want to do is besides the point. It's a fast way to bring your ratings in and take over for a few hours"
"Stop. Just stop!" Autumn yelled
"Don't raise your voice in this house" Mr Hester said sternly
"Are you serious right now?"
"Do I look like I'm joking!?" he scoffed
To stare at someone in utter disbelief could be the same as seeing them in a completely different light
And as much dissapointment her parents had placed her through, they never failed to reach another level of bullshitness to amaze her
"The next time you open your mouth father, you'll regret it" Autumn said in a deep voice
"Don't threaten me Autumn, you know what I'm capable of" The man stated, his piercing blue eyes reaching out and grabbing her by the throat
"It's okay, we'll leave" Ms Hester stated
"What?" the man asked
"We'll leave, give them some time to catch up-"
"Take your garbage with you on the way out" Autumn hissed
"Ouch" Brooke pouted
"It's okay dear, it's obvious that Autumn isn't thinking clearly right now so we'll leave you two to hatch out your plan but mark my words Autumn, you're going to that premier with Brooke whether you like it or not" Her mother said
"I'd love to see you try" The raven hair girl scoffed
"Why you-"
"Stop it Marvin. You heard the girl, let's. Go" The woman gritted
"How can you just-"
"I said. Let's. Go" She whispered, her eyes seemed to catch his attention with something mysterious
The scowl on his face turned into amusement in seconds, only to make Autumn frown from confusion
"Oh" his voice came out deeper than it already was
"We'll go for now but Brooke will keep us updated on our little business arrangement" She mumbled
"There's nothing to be updated about. I said. No" Autumn said sternly
"Just have a talk. I'm sure Brooke and you have alot to catch up on" Her mother smirked
The purple hair girl's eyes met Ms Hester's from across the room, matching her smirk as if the three had an entire mental conversation in just seconds, completely leaving out the other two girls that were in the room
"We have alot to catch up on" Brooke's grin met her ear as she moved away from Kate
Her hips swayed once again, capturing both girls. As silent and hypnotized as she was, it was the one thing that snapped her into reality
When Kate noticed Autumn's eyes on her Ex's body
The raven hair girl grinded her teeth against each other when familiar fingers brushed over her shoulders. Brooke ran her fingertips along the girl's skin, trailing from her knuckles to the nape of her neck
She was completely frozen, almost as if she herself had fell into the trance Kate was just in, but this time it was different. It wasn't just a surprise, it was far worse and everyone knew it
Autumn swallowed hard before her blue orbs glanced into the forest green eyes of her ex
"What do you say to a bottle of wine?" She whispered
"I don't drink"
"Oh? Really? That doesn't sound like the Autumn I know" Brooke chuckled
"The Autumn you knew died a long time ago when you decided to fuck my bestfriend" The raven hair girl spat
Brooke pouted and placed a hand over her chest, pretending to be hurt by the fucking facts that Autumn was spitting

"Ouch" She pouted
"Oh did that hurt? Didn't know you have a heart, did you get an orgasm too with his uncircumcised dick and one balls when the other got snipped in an accident!?"

"I think it's time for us to leave" Autumn's mother intertwined her fingers with her husband, tugging him towards the door
"I'll see you both at the premiere" The man stated as he walked past his daughter
Kate was still standing by the door, not an inch of her skin moved when the Hesters walked past her. Their noses scrunched in disgust while their eyes examined every flaw, every failure, every part of her that she deemed as weak
"Don't waste your time trying dear, nothing can ever separate Brooke and Autumn" The woman chuckled as she flipped open the door
And with that, they were gone. As fast as they came, they were gone, leaving the trouble behind as usual
Kate's eyes flickered forward to see Autumn on the couch with her fingers through her hair, clearly stressed from her parents being cunts
But the part where Kate felt like a cup of water being poured into the ocean, was when she saw Brooke on the couch, stroking her fingers along Autumn's arm and holding that smirk on her face
Her green eyes pierced through Kate's from across the room, almost like a message
A message to Kate to know she could never compete
