It always hurts to see Nico like this. The world gets too much. He can sense when things are dying, and the world is dying around them. Sometimes it becomes too much for him.
He yells at me to stay away. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks he'll hurt me. I know he has nightmares of me and the others dying... especially after Jason.
"Deep breaths babe, please?"
I know he can't hear me, but I think he's trying. He's trying so hard.
He scratches at his arms. I want to make him stop. I walk closer.
"Will?"
He's out of it. I offer cuddles.
"Please?"
We cuddle up together and I look over the marks he made on his arms. None of them are bleeding yet. That's good. I take his hands and look over them slowly. They have little marks all over them from past breakdowns. No new ones though.
He looks at me, and I look at him.
"I love you," I whisper.
We kiss.
