Evening came faster than Jonathan had hoped for. He was not ready yet, but he figured he would not ever be ready for this. He had to go to the Shadow market, where he hadn't stepped for almost five years.
It was a nightmare, there was a chance that no one would recognize him there but he still couldn't take that risk.
There was a potion in the bag he had brought. His father had given it to him for emergencies. It would cloud his appearance to others, he had only used it before once.
This also means he has to wait for the potion to wear off before coming back.
It was five p.m. and the London city was covered in dark clouds. Very usual for London. He wore black clothes, a baseball cap and had a bag on his shoulder.
He exited the hotel in a hurry so, no one would catch him.
He hated lying to Kiara but he had no other choice. He had to get runed weapons as well as normal weapons.
He was on the way to the shadow market, it was hidden to the mundane eye to them it would look like a dead end street but to people with sight like Shadowhunters or Downworlders it would be a market they could all have access to. However usually Shadowhunters were not welcomed in the market.
He had a feeling someone was following him, he had to take some action. He took out a blade from his belt strap. He turned to see there were two big demons behind him. The whole street was deserted so, he could easily attack the demons.
They were Raveners not really smart but are really savage hunters. Someone wanted to kill him okay maybe not him specifically but Shadowhunters and well he smells like a Shadowhunter.
He activated the blade by calling an Angel's name "Gabriel" he said and the blade lit up. The demons took a step back but he knew they will not retreat.
He sprinted towards them and they also ran to him, he tackled the first one and jabbed the blade in his stomach and in a second he zapped out of existence in the dimension. The second one charged at him and Jonathan dodged him and came at him from behind and jabbed the blade on his back, soon he was gone too.
He cleaned his blade of the demon ichor and continued his journey to the market, oblivious to the fact that someone had been watching him.

Kiara didn't remember sleeping but it was really uncomfortable. Her nightmares now were increasing she had to clear her mind so she decided to go for shopping and distract herself.
She was wearing Jonathan's sweat shirt again and his faded blue jeans. His clothes were very comfortable she had to agree.
Jonathan had left before her waking up, but he had left some cash. She thought he had done it because he didn't want to follow her, which was true she did want to follow him but she didn't.
She was aware he had confidence in her because he had asked her to be backup for him. She was sure he would not do anything she wouldn't approve of.
"Hello darling, How are you?" someone said from behind her, She was in the corridor waiting for the lift to come up. She saw it was the hotel's owner. She was wearing a sequences rainbow top and blue ripped jeans.
"Hi Holly, I am good. You?"
"I am fine honey. I was just coming to see you both." Holly said.
"Oh. Jonathan left he had some work and I was going for some shopping." Kiara explained and an idea popped in her mind "Would you like to come with me." she asked.
"Are you sure? I mean I have great fashion sense no doubt but do you want company?" She asked softly. It had been so long Kiara had friends or any body to spend time with, it was a little lonely. She wouldn't mind some company right now.
"Come on I am tired of hanging with Jonathan, I need some girl time." Kiara said and grabbed Holly's hand, they both laughed. the lift came at the right time.
They both went inside. "It is true Jonathan can be a little uptight." Holly said.
"A little?" Kiara said and raised her eyebrows. Holly giggled. "Okay you have a point. Anyway where are we going?" She asked.
"Dunno, you tell me. I haven't shopped in London for a while." Kiara said, she had bad memories with this place. Here she left her house, all the people out to get her are here, she use to work here the worst memory.
"Excellent I know a place." She said and they both exited the hotel.

Kiara had tried on several dresses but nothing seemed to catch her eye. The place where Holly took her was awesome. There were all kind of clothes and shoes plus they were affordable, score, she thought.
She was wearing a floral dark print dress which came her mid thigh. She looked pretty in the mirror but something wasn't right. She never preferred shopping for dresses with pretty flowers or the ones that caught every one's eye. She liked wearing jeans and tops, They were comfortable and subtle.
Holly actually had an amazing fashion sense, she looked beautiful in every dress she picked but none were Kiara's type.
"So what do you think of Jonathan?" Holly asked, startling her.
What did she think of Jonathan? She was confused herself.
"What do you mean?" She asked instead. Holly laughed
"Oh, come on you both see to like each other, just date already." She said so straight forwardly, Kiara was stunned for a second.
She couldn't date him, he had a perfect life and she would just disrupt that. She guessed whatever bad had happened with him he had left it behind but she still was a threat to him.
"I don't think he likes me like that." She muttered in a slow voice because it was true he was always mysterious and hard to approach. Yeah they flirted with each other but that doesn't mean anything. Right?
"Ha" Holly snorted. "Trust me honey I know him and he definitely likes you."
"But he doesn't tell me anything he keeps asking about me but when I ask him he just shut downs" she said agitatedly, she didn't realized how much it hurt till now.
Holly had a sad look on her face
"Honey give it some time. It has been a while but his past still hurts him. He will tell you I am sure" she said with a sad smile. "I know he trusts you, he has not let people near him for a long time."
"You both need each other, just trust him, okay? And don't make rash decisions." She said, and Kiara gave her a small nod.
"Okay so I am guessing you like dark colors, just wait here. You are going to love this." It was all Holly said before she left Kiara with her thoughts.

Jonathan returned back around nine p.m. the potion had wore off, he had all the weapons he needed in his bag and their plan was on the track.
He was in the middle of opening his door when the adjacent room opened and Kiara walked out.
She was wearing new clothes, black jeans and a blue top with a shield print on it. Her black hair were to in a messy bun. She looked beautiful as ever.
"Oh look you are back. Took you long enough." She said. "I went shopping with Holly and bought you stuff too." She declared enthusiastically. "Come on see if you like it."
She had gone shopping with Holly, not much of a surprise. Holly would befriend a wild nymph and still wouldn't think it is a little weird.
They both entered her room. There were two bags lying on the floor.
She picked the bright orange one and gave it to him. "Look if you don't life it, we can it exchange it." She said with a smile.
"If you like it, it was my choice, if you don't then but was Holly's" he chuckled at the statement.
"I am sure I am going to like it. I also bought you something too." He said with a charming smile and opened his bag.
He took out a pack normal butterfly knife and gave them to her. "I guess you know how to use a knife." he said teasing her.
"Okay are you questioning my skills, pretty boy." She said narrowing her eyes.
"Ah, there it is the snarky nickname, that I asked not to call me." He pointed his index finger at her.
"Don't tell me what to do." She scolded. "Okay fine. Geez" he said
And they both started laughing at their own comments.
"Okay I was just waiting for you to come so we can eat. Let's go." She said and dragged him out of the room.
