Pha's pov:
By the time they left, it was already 9 o'clock.
Ming gave them some brownies and lasagna to give to Kit and Yo.
"Let's clean up and go to sleep." I looked at Ming.
He nodded.
He looked tired.
I lifted him up and headed to my room.
I checked his heartbeat after taking off our clothes.
It was weak but fortunately it was beating normally.
After taking a shower, i went to his room and grabbed some clothes for him.
When i came back he was sitting on the bed smiling looking at his phone.
"Hey. Here are your clothes." I smiled.
He kept his phone and quickly put them on.
Just as he finished putting on the t-shirt, his phone rang.
It was Kit.
"Hello p'Kit." He answered it.
But then he had to pull it away from his ear because of the high pitched squeal that came from the other end.
I chuckled.
They got the brownies and lasagna.
"Ming i love youuuu!!!!! These are really goood!!! Thank you so much for remembering us!!!" Yo yelled excitedly.
"I'm glad you like them p'." Ming chuckled.
"We'll bring some treats when we come over next time ok?" Yo said happily.
"Yes p'. Thank you." Ming smiled.
"No problem. It's nothing at all. Goodnight then."
"Goodnight." He hung up.
He looked at me.
"Let's sleep. You must be tired." I smiled.
He nodded and yawned.
We climbed under the duvet.
He fell asleep almost instantly.
I put my hand on his chest and closed my eyes.
I fell into a deep slumber in no time.
When i woke up the next morning, he was holding my hand which was on his chest and staring at the ceiling.
"Ming?" I called him.
He turned to me.
"P' what's wrong with my heart?" He asked seriously.
I pursed my lips.
He stared at me waiting for me to speak.
"Your heart has weakened. You're in too much pain. It's starting to cause physical damage to your body. So we canceled your sessions with the therapist. We'll definitely help you get better but we need to go slower." I explained.
He blinked.
"Is that why you've been putting your hand on my chest?" He asked.
I nodded.
"The reason you felt dizzy was because your heartbeat slowed down, causing low blood pressure. So i asked Beam to buy medicine and injections for you."
"Am i going to die?" He spoke up after a while.
"Ming do you trust me?" I asked rather than answering his question.
He nodded immediately.
"Then don't worry about anything. Leave it to me. I promised i won't let anything happen to you didn't i? I have no intention of breaking that promise." I said firmly.
A smile formed on his face.
He hummed.
"Don't worry about anything else. Just focus on your health and enjoying yourself for now ok?" I stroked his hair.
He was silent for a while.
"Ming?" I called him.
"Who am i?" He asked.
I blinked.
"What?" I frowned.
"Mingkwan Daichapanya doesn't exist anymore. So who am i now?" Tears formed in his eyes.
So he heard us....
"You're our Mingkwan. My Ming. The one i love and cherish." I brushed back his bangs.
"Why do they hate me so much? What did i do wrong? Was i not good enough?" He sobbed.
I could feel his heartbeat weakening.
"Ming stop." I sat up and pulled him into my embrace.
"Don't think about them. Just forget about them. You have your family here. Don't think about anyone else. You have parents who love you and want you. That's all you need to think about ok? Nothing more. Forget about anyone else." I wiped his tears.
"Won't leave me?" He looked at me.
"Never. We're staying right here. And if we go anywhere, you're coming with us." I said firmly.
A small smile formed on his face.
"Promise?" He held up his pinky finger.
I linked mine with it.
"Promise." I smiled.
He hummed and relaxed in my embrace.
I put my hand on his chest.
It returned to normal. Although it was still a little weak. But it was nothing worrisome.
I sighed relieved.
"You can go ahead and take a shower first. I have something to do." I said letting go of him.
He nodded and went into the bathroom.
I took my laptop and searched for some things.
Mom and dad came in a few minutes later.
"Where's Ming?" Mom looked around.
"He's taking a shower." I answered without looking away from the screen.
"What are you doing?" They came closer and peeked at the screen.
"I'm looking for a cardiac monitor, oxygen mask and pacemaker. We're going to need them in the future especially during rain." I answered.
"I can talk to Finn. I'm sure he'll know where we can get them fast." Dad took his phone.
I nodded.
He went to the balcony.
He came back in fifteen minutes later.
"He said he'll contact some people he knows and get them. We should get them by evening." He said.
"Wait... Aren't we forgetting about something?" Mom spoke up.
Dad and i looked at her.
"They are coming here today...." She looked at us scared.
We blinked.
"Fuck!" I cursed quietly.
I completely forgot about that!
"When is the flight?" I asked.
"It will land at 11 in the morning." Dad answered.
I looked at the time.
10:00 am.
Just then Ming came out of the bathroom.
"Ming we're going to my place. Get your things ready." I said getting out of bed.
He blinked.
"Right now?" He asked.
"Yeah. Right after i take a shower." I answered and went into the bathroom.
Ming's pov:
I looked at mom and dad. They had worried expressions on their faces.
I was confused as to why we need to leave right now.
Then i remembered.
"They're coming here tomorrow"
"You don't want me to meet them." I smiled thinly.
They pursed their lips.
I went into my walk in closet and wore some nice clothes. I took the bag i had packed yesterday and went out.
"I'll put it in the car." Dad took it from me and went out of the room.
"Come on you can grab a few bites until he comes out." Mom said.
We went to the dining room.
Mom cut some apples for me.
She packed all my medicine including the ones they bought yesterday.
I had just finished eating like half of them when p'Pha came out.
"Let's go." He said to me.
I got up.
Mom gave the bag of medicine to him.
"We'll come visit ok?" Mom smiled at me.
I smiled back and nodded.
P'pha held my hand and we went to his car.
The drive to his place was in comfirtable silence.
My mind wandered off to my parents many times but i brushed those thoughts away quickly not wanting to worry p'pha.
We reached his place after driving for 50 minutes
I looked at the house wide eyed.
"P' your house is so beautiful." I looked at him.
He smiled.
"Thank you." We got out of the car and went inside after parking it in the garage.
I ran to the small pond under the stairs.
There were beautiful fishes there.
"You've been staying at mom and dad's place for the last few days. Who fed them?" I asked p'pha.
"There's an automated feeding mechanism." He pointed at a container in the corner of the pond. "It releases a certain amount of food everyday at a set time."
I nodded.
"Let's keep your stuff in my room. Then I'll make some breakfast." He straightened up.
We headed upstairs.
( I like the design of the room so i selected this. Just imagine the bedsheets r plain dark brown. I can't imagine Pha wanting a floral designed bedsheet XD)
We kept my clothes in the walk in closet and went back downstairs.
"You can go out into the backyard while i finish up if you want." He smiled at me.
I smiled back and nodded.
I quickly went out to the bakcyard after he went into the kitchen.
"I'll ask if i can swim after breakfast." I mumbled to myself as i walked around.
The doors were closed and locked in the shed like place (I don't know what it's called ok? XD) so i couldn't see how it looked from the inside. (Just imagine it's like that.)
P'pha called me after around thirty minutes.
I was looking around the dining room and kitchen while eating.
"I actually saw this house when i was in highschool. I immediately knew i wanted it." He smiled.
I looked at him.
"But i didn't want to ask my parents to buy it so i saved up my allowance every month up until second year in university." He heaved a sigh.
I blinked and tilted my head.
"It turned out, mom and dad had somehow found out i wanted this place and bought it when i was in my third year of highschool. And they didn't bother telling me because they wanted to surprise me for my university graduation." He groaned.
I chuckled.
"That definitely sounds like them."
"So now i have way too much in my account and every month more is added because of my salary. And mom had been secretly adding some extra money every month while i was in university." He pouted.
I laughed at his expression.
"I can probably go for around 10 years or so without a job with all the money in my account." He sat back.
"So you're not going to a job?" I asked.
"No. Being a surgeon is something I've always dreamt of. I don't do it for the money. So I'll apply to a better hospital later." He looked at me.
"You haven't applied anywhere yet?" I blinked.
"For now i want to focus on you. Like i said i have way too much money. And i don't want to leave you alone." He ruffled my hair.
I smiled happily.
