So i watched S4 Ep16 and thought.."What if i write this Nova style?" (meaning its sadder and darker) So here it is!
"You can not make me do this Cas. Not this. Anything but this." Dean spit at Cas. Dean had been asked to torture Alistair, the demon who tortured him for 30 years.
"I wouldn't ask this of you, Dean..but i have to, its not my choice." Castiel replied, he felt guilty for making the man he cares about go through something like this.
"If i go in there, and do what you ask. I won't come out as the same man." Dean crossed his arms, Castiel kept his usual no expression, but on the inside he was worried. He didn't want to do this, he wanted to just hug Dean and say they would find another way..but he couldn't. Castiel kept quiet, Dean sighed and went towards the door of Alistair's torture room.
As Dean shut the door, Cas slumped down into a chair by a long rectangular table. He sighed, running his hands through his hair.
"You're doing the right thing, Castiel. We need to know whos killing the angels" Uriel said, appearing in front of Cas.
"I know.. I just feel as if this is wrong. I know Alistair is a demon who's hurt many humans but making Dean do it?" Castiel replied to Uriel's statement.
"He'll be fine, Castiel, he's just overreacting." Uriel said, rolling his eyes. "I'll be back, I'm going to go do revelations" With that Uriel disappeared.
"He's probably right.." Dean said aloud to no one. After a few minutes Cas could tell the torture had started from Alistair's screams. If only the room was soundproof, then Castiel wouldn't have to hear his guilt.
Meanwhile in the torture chamber...
"Just tell me and all of this can end. Tell me who is killing the angels." Dean angrily spoke to Alistair.
"This is just like old times, Dean. You torturing innocent souls while i watch." Alistair commented.
"Tell me." Dean grabbed the salt and holy water.
"Tell you what? That this is all for nothing?" Alistair retorted. Dean forced Alistair's mouth open and poured salt and holy water down his throat. Alistair screamed in pain as it went on.
"Had enough?" Dean asked.
"That was refreshing." Alistair responded. Dean had no smile or smirk on his face, he was furious, not just with Alistair, but with what he was doing. Alistair maybe a demon but why did Dean have to do this? Why couldn't the angels?
Why did he have to bare this responsibility?
Outside the torture chamber
Cas had been sitting in the same spot since Dean had started torturing Alistair.
"Why Castiel? Why are you doing this to him?" A young girl asked from behind him.
"Anna. You shouldn't be here. We still have orders to kill you." Cas said as he stood to face her.
"I doubt i'd still be standing here if you were going to kill me or turn me in" Anna took a step closer to him.
"Why are you forcing Dean to do this?" Anna asked.
"We have orders.." Cas said, looking away from her in shame.
"You love him don't you?" Anna asked, Cas just stood their quietly, not wanting to answer.
"You don't have to tell me but if you do, why make him go through his own torture again?" Anna started to walk towards the door.
"He needs you, Castiel" Anna said, Cas looked towards the window to see she was gone. But she was also right. While he thought for a moment, he realized the agonizing screams had stopped.
"Dean?" Cas called out aloud to the doors of the torture chamber. He looked through the small glass windows on the door to see Alistair wasn't tied up anymore, Cas pulled out a large dagger that could kill angels and demons. He carefully opened the door and peaked inside.
"Dean." He said quietly, he saw Dean get slammed onto the floor.
"You're pathetic, Dean." Alistair spoke with venom in his voice as he picked up the young boy. He held him by his throat, choking him.
"Put him down." Castiel said aloud as he walked in.
"Look at that. You're angel buddy is here. And he thinks he's going to save you when he couldn't even protect you." Alistair said.
"Put him down, Alistair." Alistair rolled his eyes.
"Just for you, Castiel." He dropped Dean to the ground. As Dean hit the floor, he felt a quick rush of pain go through his whole body before he passed out.
"What are you going to do? You're just a little angel. You can't do anything." Alistair laughed.
"He's not just one little angel" Anna said as she appeared from the darkness with a dagger like Castiels.
"Two little angels? This should be easy." Alistair smirked.
The two angels locked eyes and nodded, already knowing the plan as if the rehearsed. Both Anna and Castiel ran at Alistair, Alistair was ready for both of them except they both disappeared at the last second. Alistair was immediately but off guard, the two angels reappeared above hum though and went to strike. Alistair raised his arm, a sword appeared in his hand, it blocked the blow but the daggers hit his finger. He yelped in pain as the two angels landed. Alistair held where his hand was hit, looking down at his bleeding hand. When he looked up, both angels and human were gone, he cursed loudly before disappearing himself.
Back at the motel..
Sam had been sitting on his bed, worried sick about his brother. Cas and Uriel took him a few hours ago to torture Alistair. Sam sighed and stood up, he needed to do something so he wasn't focusing on Dean. But that didn't last long, his phone began to ring.
"Hello?" Sam said into the phone.
"Sam. It's Castiel, you need to get to the hospital. Room 412 on the third floor." Castiel quickly said.
"Wait what? Is Dean with you?" Sam asked, worried about his reckless older brother.
"He's here with me in the hospital. The doctor said he should be alright.." Castiel replied.
"What? What happened?" Sam asked as he grabbed the impala's keys.
"I'll tell you when you get here." Castiel hung up, Sam quickly ran out the door.
At the hospital
Cas was sitting by Dean's bed, he was holding Dean's hand tightly, hoping he'd be alright. He had been sitting like that since Dean was deemed okay. Sam knocked on the door frame, Cas looked up.
"I'm so sorry." Cas said aloud.
"What the hell happened, Cas?" Sam asked.
"Alistair somehow got out of the demon traps and almost killed Dean." Cas didn't even look at Sam as he said what happened.
"Is he going to be alright?" Sam asked, sitting next to Cas, Cas just nodded.
Sam sighed. "That's what matters.."
"That demon trap shouldn't of broke" Cas spoke aloud to mainly himself.
"It's not your fault, Cas. What matters is Dean is going to be fine. He'll forgive you" Sam commented. Cas squeezed Deans hand a bit, he felt a light squeeze back.
"I'm gonna go call bobby, tell me if he wakes up" Sam said as he stood up and walked out of the room. Castiel nodded and looked towards the toward till he heard Dean groan.
"Cas?" Dean said, his voice was hoarse and weak.
"Are you alright, Dean?" Cas asked.
"I feel like I got hit by a bus.. but I'll be fine" Dean looked at their hands.
"I can let go-"
"No, it's okay.." Dean said, cutting off Cas. "I like it.."
Here's my rewrite! It's not the best and the fight scene is bad but i enjoy the ending!
