As they walked down the tunnel towards the cell, Ella waved her hand lit one of the torches on the wall so they could actually see.
"You have magic?" Aurora asked
"Notice the change in the colour of part of my hair that's magic so yeah I do." She said whilst putting her hair in a ponytail.
"Rumpelstiltskin's cell... I haven't been here since before the curse." Mary Margaret said as Ella leaned on a rock on the floor outside the cell.
"This is where he told us you were going to be the saviour." Mary Margaret said her voice dropping to a whisper
"He knew?" Emma asked shocked
Ella rolled her eyes and said, "He knew everything and no I'm not helping."
"Come on." Mary Margaret said as she and Emma headed into the cell.
Aurora stood up and said, "The squid ink it's not here."
"Gold said we would find it." Mary Margaret said with a hint of desperation in her voice
Ella for once couldn't blame her, she was getting desperate too.
"Was there anyone else in here with him? Could they have taken the ink?" Ella asked
Mary Margaret shook her head and said, "No. Visitors weren't allowed. He was too dangerous to allow any human contact."
"How'd he keep from going crazy?" Emma asked
Ella shut her eyes for a second as she sat against the rock, her head pounding
"He didn't" Aurora suddenly said
Ella looked up at her to notice she was holding a small scroll, she stood up and joined the rest of the group who were looking at the princess.
"What is it? A message?" Emma asked
Aurora nodded and folded the scroll back up as she said, "Yes, and I think it's for you."
"Why would you think that..." Emma trailed off,
Ella looked down at the scroll and said, "Well that's disturbing on many levels."
On the scroll was the word Emma written hundreds of times, the length of the scroll and it was a very long scroll.

Ella moved to sit outside the cell again, as she threw her daggers into the dirt in front of her she heard Emma say, "What does this even mean?"
"He was obsessed with you Emma. You were the key to breaking the curse." Mary Margaret said as she climbed down from a rock.
Aurora stood up and said, "We've looked everywhere. There's no ink in this cell."
"Well there has to be. He told David..." Mary Margaret said" as she frantically started searching.
"We just need to think like a Villain" Ella said bluntly
"What do you mean?" Mulan asked
"We like to be cryptic mostly to annoy heroes such as yourselves, you just need to think cryptic and annoying, I know Gold quite well, he would hide it in the most obvious place but you wouldn't think of it." Ella said leaning over to grab her daggers, "Besides you were in a netherworld maybe something got lost in translation."
"No, she heard right." Mulan said as she moved from searching a hole in the wall
"You found it!" Mary Margaret yelled excitedly
Ella began to stand up but sat back down noticing that it was an empty bottle the warrior was holding.
"In a matter of speaking there was ink in this cell." Mulan stated.
Emma sighed and muttered, "Son of a bitch-"
Emma got cut off by Ella quickly standing up saying, "She's here."
"What? how do you know?" Mary Margaret asked
"I'm a Knave... Knave's always where their Queens are." Ella said looking at Mary Margaret
Before Ella even knew what was happening, Aurora had thrown a rock towards the lever that kept the cell door open.
Ella ran over to the door but wasn't quick enough as the door came crashing down.
"Aurora, what are you doing?!" Emma yelled
"Helping me" Ella heard from behind her as she felt a pain in her left side.
She gasped and stumbled to the side as she heard Cora say, "Arms by your side, stop moving."
Ella immediately stopped moving, looking down at her side and saw a lot of blood.
Cora smirked at Ella as she was breathing heavily, trying to move her hand to put on her bleeding side.
The woman used her magic to move the compass from Emma's hand to hers.
"No" Emma said desperately as she started to shake the cage.
Cora simply shook her head as she said, "Don't waste your time dear, Rumpelstiltskin himself couldn't escape from this cell."
"Thank you Aurora. We couldn't have done this without you." Cora said smiling at the princess
"Cora, You have to let me go, I'm gonna bleed out... A-And I know you don't want me d-dead."
Cora nodded walked over to the bleeding girl who had now gone increasingly pale, Cora put her hand behind her neck and she pushed Ella's heart back inside her. Making Ella fall to the ground with a groan.
Ella pushed on her side as she felt the blood pool through her clothes. She knew that it was on the left side and he must've hit something important or their wouldn't be this much blood.
"Ah, don't blame her she was only doing what she was told." Cora said smiling at Aurora
Ella barely managed to say, "You took her heart? I knew it"
"Actually I did, and yes of course you knew you know exactly what it looks like, really you should've said sooner." Hook corrected as Ella glared at him
"Why did you do that Hook." Ella asked pushing harder on her wound
"Pay back for leaving me."
"If-if it were up to me... Emma woul- would've been going straight b...back up there to get you."
When Ella said that a wave of guilt washed over Hooks face
Ella lost consciousness for the rest of the conversation waking up when she heard Emma beating the cell with a sword.

"David, Ruby!" Will yelled running into Granny's where Ruby was working
"Will, what's the matter?" Ruby said walking round the counter, walking him over to a booth
"Ella she's hurt something happened, she got her heart back." Will said with worry laced all over
"Is that bad, that she got her heart back?"
"Yeah, Cora can control her now."

Ella was going in and out of consciousness as Mary Margaret held her hand through the bar, and Ella was too tried to even try to fight it as she was loosing a lot of blood.
"You won't be able to break it down, Emma it was enchanted to hold Rumpelstiltskin. We don't have a chance. Mary Margaret said sadly
Emma sat down sadly and said, How you holding up?"
"Well having a hearts new, I don't like it a...and I want to get r-rid of it other than I'm peachy." Ella said quietly resting her head up against the wall, trying to make a joke about it all. It was true she didn't like the way having a heart made her feel, it made her feel guilt, regret, love that she thought she lost ages ago.
Aurora sighed as she looked at her friends, saying, "This is all my fault
"No, it's mine. Cora stole your heart because I failed to protect you," Mulan corrected
Emma stopped them both by saying, "That's very sweet, but really it's my fault. I'm the saviour and I'm not doing any saving am I?"
"We're going to win this fight, you know? Good always defeats Evil." Mary Margaret said squeezing Ella's hand stopping her from passing out again
"You sound like Henry." Ella said weakly
Mary Margaret smiled sadly as she said, "Guess optimism runs in the family."
"I think it skipped a generation." Emma and Ella said simultaneously
"You should know better than anyone. You broke the curse." Mary Margaret said as she looked a Emma.
"And what have I done since then?" Emma asked
Ella shrugged as she said, "Got us stranded here, burned the wardrobe, let Cora get the ash and the compass and get me stabbed."
"Ella's right, the only reason I broke the curse was because it was exactly what Gold wanted me to do. I had nothing to do with it."
"What are you talking about?"
Emma continued saying, "He told you I was the saviour. It was his plan so maybe once I fulfilled that role maybe that was all I was ever meant to do. Everything I'd ever done he's had it mapped out before I was even born. I'm not powerful, I'm not a saviour. I'm a name on a piece of paper. I'm a pawn, and that's exactly while we're in here and Cora is on her way to Storybrooke."

"We're going to get out of here." Mary Margaret said as Ella's eyes flickered shut. Emma shot up and ran over to the side of the cell that had her mother and her sister on the other side of the door, saying, "Ella! Wake up! Ella!"
After a few minutes of Emma yelling at Ella to wake up and poking her with the hilt of the sword, Mary Margaret said, "The scroll is going to open the door for us."
"What?" Emma said moving away from the door.
Mary Margaret stood up and stood in front of the cell door as she said, "When I was a little girl I used to sneak into Cora's chamber and watch her practice magic. She had a spell book, and Emma... the spells were in the book."
"Yeah isn't that what a spell book is? A book that has spells in it?" Ella said and everyone jumped
"Oh God you okay thank God." Emma said with a laugh
"Not okay, not okay." Ella said slowly shaking her head
"How are you awake? You were unconscious?" Mary Margaret said smiling at her daughter
"I was but I felt someone poking me with something, so I decided to come back and kill them slowly."
Emma smiled and said, "Sarcasm is good, now how do we get out of here?"
"Watch" Mary Margaret said as she blew on the scroll.
Ella raised an eyebrow and watched as the words quite literally came off the page and flew towards the door.
Emma shot up saying, "The squid ink, Gold wrote the scroll in squid ink."
They all watched as the door literally disappeared.
Emma laughed in shock as Mary Margaret said, "Told you good always wins."
As Mary Margaret rushed forward to help Ella up from the ground who was still bleeding heavily. Quite honestly Ella was surprised as to how much blood she had.
"You have to tie me up." Aurora said
Emma wrapped her arm around Ella's waist, whilst Mary Margaret was tying her jacket around her waist which helped a tiny bit.
Mulan turned back to Aurora, saying, "No, I'm not leaving without you."
"I can't be trusted. Not as long as Cora still has my heart." Aurora explained
"Mulan do it, I know what it's like to be controlled by Cora, you... you feel like your thoughts aren't your own just do it." Ella said regretfully leaning her head on Emma's shoulder
"Then I will get it back for you." Aurora simply said.
"Mulan..." Aurora said
"I will."
"Mulan... we got to go." Emma said moving her eyes to Ella's direction.
Mulan looked at the bleeding girl who was actually doing quite well considering she had blood loss. She quickly tied Aurora to the bars, and as they were walking away, Aurora said, "Good luck."

Ella, Mary Margaret, Emma and Mulan soon made it to Lake Nostos and Ella was set down behind a rock.
She leaned against it as Emma took her sword, which cause Ella to glare at her, and Mary Margaret armed her vow and pointed it towards Cora and Hook who were about to jump in the portal.
Mary Margaret shot the arrow, successfully knocking the compass out of Cora and Hook's hands.
Cora glared at the princess as she yelled, "You're not going anywhere."
"The portals taking us home." Emma continued standing beside her mother.
Mary Margaret said to Emma, "The compass get it."
"Find it first, I'll take care of them." Ella heard Cora say to Hook
Mary Margaret stood next to her daughter who looked like she might keel over at any given moment.
Ella looked up and noticed Auroras heart go flying straight over the portal, she was shocked to see Hook catch it.
The pirate tossed it to Mulan, saying, "I may be a pirate but I bristle at the thought of a woman loosing her heart. Unless it's over me."
Emma nodded at Mulan as Mary Margaret walked over to her saying, "Go"
"No, you need the compass." Mulan protested
Mary Margaret shook her head saying, "And Aurora needs her heart."
No one noticed that Cora had re appeared a few feet behind Mulan- except Ella who was hating being on the side-lines and not fighting.
She slowly stood up, groaning she jumped in front of Mulan making the fireball hit her instead
But again instead of it hurting her, it disappeared an inch before it touched her.
Cora looked at Ella part in relief bust mostly in exasperation as Ella said, "Doesn't work remember your majesty."
Mulan quickly got rid of Cora making her poof again.
Mulan helped Ella back over to the rock saying, "Thank you."
Ella nodded and said, "Go, before you loose that."

Mary Margaret looked over to Ella who was as pale as a ghost saying, "You and I are talking about that trick later okay?"
Ella nodded as she looked down at Mary Margaret's cardigan which was now covered in blood. She pulled it up and rolled up her own top to revealed the blood soaked wound, She held her hand over it, knowing that her magic couldn't heal things, she needed to keep the blood in as much as possible.
. . . .
"Why do you want to go to Storybrooke?" Mary Margaret as she stood in front of Ella protectively, who had now resulted in pulling some thread from her jumper and threading herself up with her dagger, which was actually working much to her surprise.
"Because my daughter needs me. And now I'm going to give her the thing she's always wanted your heart... Goodbye Snow." Cora simply said and right as she was about to reach into Snow's chest, she was knocked out of the way by Emma, and Cora's hand was in Emma's chest in stead.
"Emma!" Mary Margaret yelled and Ella, who was now more awake then before as the bleeding had stopped., eye's widened.
Mary Margaret looked around fearfully, her first daughter was dying of blood loss, and her second daughter had her heart in what Ella described as a foul excuse for a human.
"Oh you foolish girl." Cora laughed, "Don't you know, love is weakness."
Then Cora tried pulling out Emma's heart, but failed much to Ella's surprise she had never seen anything like this and she had seen Cora rip out a lot of hearts.
Emma stood up straighter and said, "No, it's strength."
Then a white glow came from her forcing Cora away and put of her chest.
Emma was stunned for a moment and Mary Margaret stood up hoisting Ella up with her.
"What was that?" Emma asked in shock
"That is a great subject for discussion when we get home and get me to a hospital." Ella said leaning on Mary Margaret.
All three of them grabbed onto a part of the compass, and they all jumped in.
. . . .
"Regina your going to kill them!" Will yelled being held back by Gold, who used the remaining magic to subdue him as Henry was being held by Regina.
Regina lost her grip on Henry and he ran towards the well.
Regina pulled him back and said, "Henry," She got him a few feet away and said, "What are you doing?"
"Ella, Emma and Mary Margaret are going to come through. I know it. You said you wanted to change to be better. This is how. You want me to have faith in you? have faith in me." Henry begged
Regina looked at Henry and walked towards the well.
"Regina!" Gold yelled
Regina stood over the well and held out her hands, she then tried to suck out the dark magic from the well, but she got knocked back."
Henry watched the well for a few seconds and then ran towards it yelling, "No!"
"I'm sorry, Henry I'm sorry." Regina said sadly
Then they saw a hand and Emma lifted herself from the well
Henry grinned and whispered, "Mom?"
Emma then helped pull Ella and Mary Margaret out who placed Ella in front of the well on the ground.
Mr Gold let Will go and he came sprinting towards her falling at her side placing his hand at the side of her head.
"You're okay?" He said pulling his sister into a hug
"Not really," Ella said resting her head on his shoulders,
"What?" Will asked confused
"Get me to a hospital Will and I'll tell you all about it." Ella said with a faint smile before passing out in his arms.
. . . .
An hour after Dr Whale finished surgery, he walked into Ella's room that had Will asleep in the arm chair and Mary Margaret, Emma and Henry outside. He noticed something on her left arm.
Right as he was about to push up her sleeve, his hand was grabbed
"Thanks for saving me and all that crap, but if you make one more attempt to look at my arm I will shred you with a cheese grater."
Whale raised his hands as he said, "Okay, Okay." He walked away from the bed as he walked over to Will and hit him round the back of the head, saying, "Sisters up." which caused him to fall of the chair,
Will looked up at Ella who was looking at him with a small smile on her face, his face looked less tense and he moved into the space next to on the bed wrapping her in his arms.
"Who died El?" Will whispered, "I could feel you."
"Papa" Ella whispered back, "Cora found him."
Will sighed and hugged her tighter as he said, "You're cursed aren't you?"
Ella nodded and said, "When I can actually stand promise me you will take this heart out."
"I promise." Will said as he rested his head on hers, "Cora huh?"
Ella simply nodded not saying a word.
"I like that you got your hair back" He said with a smile, whilst he was sitting next to her on the bed and that's the way they stayed.
