"What's your hurry?!" Jade yells at me while trying to keep up with my speed walking.
Before I can reply she says "oh wait it's third period, got it" she says with a grin I huff, how does she know everything! "You missed him that much hu?"
"Yes! Ok" I tell her, I don't really want to admit it but no need to hide it, she already seems to know.
"Well then" she says grabbing my hand "lets go see your man" she says pulling me along now. We get to his classroom and my heart rate goes up just thinking about him being near me, and I can't hold back the small smile forming on my lips. "Come on" Jade rolls her eyes
When we get in there I only want to do two things, one go up and kiss his lips off and two slap his face and demand what game he's playing. But considering half the class is already seated I decide against both.
He looks up from his desk and our eyes meet making butterfly's appear in my stomach, he gives me a warm smile while I walk to my desk. Being so sidetracked by being locked in eye contact I don't notice the person right in front of me and I walk right in to them.
"Oh my gosh I'm sorry!" I say looking up at the person to finds Scott's calm green eyes.
"It's fine Rose, how was your morning?" He asks, he is really sweet why couldn't I have fallen for this guy instead of my teacher? Oh yeah that's right because my life is screwed up.
"Fine thank you, math was not so great my teacher sucks, she is to busy talking about her personal life to actually teach, so I have no idea what the heck she is teaching us" I tell him truthfully
"Who is it? Your teacher I mean" he clarified
"Mrs.Jackson"
"Oh yeah I've hear about her, she's not the best" he says and I nod "hey how about we meet up somewhere and I can help you out?" He suggested, I hesitate for a minute for some reason I feel like I would be doing something wrong because of Mr.William's. "it's ok you don't have to I just thought..." He trails off
"No no!" I say feeling guilty "it's just...I'm pretty busy but sure just tell me whenever" I say trying to give him a reassuring smile.
"Ok great how about Thursday at 3:30 in Starbucks?" He asks
"Sure that sounds great" I tell him even though I honestly don't know if I have anything going on that day he nods and walks over to his seat. I look around the room, Jades looking at me like I'm in some major shit. I look at her confused and she points her head towards Mr.Williams I look over to him and his eyes are a deep deep blue...almost black. I gasp after seeing them, startled by the sudden change from his normal light blue eyes to the state his eye are in now. He looks angry, really angry but more so...jealous? I peel my eyes from the black holes of his eyes and hurriedly take my seat next to Jade. She's looks at me shaking her head but smiling.
"What?" I ask
"You'll see" she says now laughing a little
"Well class as you can all see I am back and-" Mr.Williams starts saying but is cut off by a girl named Bridget.
"Mr.Williams we missed you so much" she says her statement in a seductive tone. I scowl at the girl, my blood boiling in rage. Mr.Williams doesn't even respond but when he looks over at me he smiles evilly. He looks back at Bridget and puts on a charming smirk.
"Thank you Bridget I missed all of you as well" with that same smirk on his face he winks at her!! Can you believe it he actually winked at her! You could practically hear all the girls ovaries exploding, they all let out a breath in unison. I bite my lip to one, hold me back from killing them all and two, for not screaming at them to stop being so damn pathetic. Mr.Williams seams pleased with my reaction as he walks back over to his desk. He did that on purpose! He wanted to know how I would react, God he's such a guy.
The rest of class goes by normally, with Mr.Williams looking over at me constantly smirking. When the bell rings for fourth, everyone packs up and leaves, me and Jade being the last ones out. We walk to the door but Jade stops. "Go ahead I have to talk to Mr.Williams I'll see you at lunch" she tells me and she starts to walk over to where Mr.Williams is sitting. When she notices I haven't moved she shooed me away but before I'm out the door I whisper yell
"Don't do anything stupid" I tell her seriously, she winks at me and I walk out and head to fourth thinking what the hell Jade is going to say to him.
Amber and Luke are already waiting for me outside the gym doors, surprisingly not kissing.
"Hey guys"
"Hey" Luke nods, placing his large tan arms around Ambers waist and smiling at me with a big white smile
"Hi, guess what we're playing today" Amber says not looking exited
"What?" I ask couriousily
"Dodge ball" she says her arm crossed and her face pouted, I laugh at her expression, she's to funny.
"Come on it won't be that bad" I tell her "you have Luke and we all know he won't let a single hair on your body get hurt" I say honestly, they truly love each other it's kind of amazing and weird that they fell in love so quick...then again I can't say much. If I hadn't met Mr.Williams I don't think I would have believed in 'love at first sight'
"I know" she looks at Luke with a bright red blush on her cheeks. Luke brings his fingers up to her chin and kisses her.
"Wow you guys really know how to make someone feel lonely" I say sarcastically, Amber pulls away from there kiss and blushes again
"Sorry Rose" she tells me
"It's fine, I was only kidding" I say with a reassuring smile.
We walk into the gym and head into the locker rooms, change our clothes and meet up in the bleachers. Coach Reed splits us into teams, I'm all alone on the red team while Amber and Luke are on the blue team. Amber sends me a sympathetic look and I smile at her. We walk to opposite sides of the gym and Coach Reed puts the plastic dodge balls in the middle.
With all the boys in there attack positions Coach Reed blows her whistle and they rush to get the balls before the other team can. I stand awkwardly in the back trying to dodge the balls that are flying past my body with crazy speeds. I look over and see Luke's face looking deadly, his eyes glaring at anyone and everyone with a ball. He is standing protectively in front of Amber covering her whole body to the point I can't even see her. His teeth are bound together like he is ready to rip anyone's head off. I laugh at his protectiveness.
I start to zone out and think about Mr.Williams. I wonder why his eyes got that deadly dark color. It couldn't have been the lighting because I've seen his eyes in that room before and they don't look like that, could it be the weather? No it's sunny just like it has been. What could it have been? Was it my eyes playing tricks on me? Probably. I just don't know what he wants from me, one moment he's smirking playfully at me, the next pulling me in a closet to hug me, and then running out of the classroom away from me.
With being so stuck in my own world, trying to figure out Mr.Williams mystery eyes and personality I don't even notice the big plastic ball headed for my head until I am struck to the ground. My head hitting the gym floor with a loud thump. I feel a warm liquid coming out of my nose I reach up with a weak arm and collect some of it on my fingers, looking at it I see blood. My arm drops to the floor and my eyes become weak I see a whole bunch of blurry people circle around me. Luke is crouched over me his hand on mine and he keeps saying something but I can't make it out. Ambers comes into view, she leans on Luke, her hand instantly covers her mouth her face filled with worry. Unable to keep my eyes open any longer I let the darkness consume me.
Marcus's POV
"Don't do anything stupid" Rose tells Jade, thinking I can't hear her.
Jade walks over to me and I look up from my work smiling at her. "What can I do for you today Jade?"
"Well I would hope by now you have figured out I'm a which and I know of course you are a vampire so I wanted to get that out of the way" she says and I nod "also I know Rose is your mate" she pauses for a moment "congratulations by the way"
"Thank you" I say proud
"Anyways are you going to reject her? Tell me now, I will not let you make my best friend fall more in love with you if your just going to break her heart" she says seriously, interesting blue and brown eyes staring intently at me
"I would never consider, dream, or even think for a split second of rejecting Rose I have waited way to long for her, I plan to never let her go" I tell her with absolute complete honesty.
"Good, thank you" she says letting out a breath "I just wanted to let you know you have amazing control, few vampires, or any supernatural beings for that matter, could resist mating there mate the moment of them meeting and thank you for that Rose isn't that type of person" she says I can't help but smile, knowing myself I'm proud as well at my control. "trust me when our friend Amber met her mate, Luke, they were making out the first ten minutes of meeting. Seeing as Luke is a Werewolf and the next alpha you know how possessive and protective they are of there mates" she shrugs
"I do, is your friend Amber a werewolf?"
"No her cousin is and her and her family live in the pack house so she knows all about the supernatural"
"Oh I understand, I'm guessing Rose doesn't know you are a witch"
"Correct you are, me and Rose have been together since second grade. I always knew my mom and grandma were witches they've been teaching me things ever since I could walk, but I never told Rose, I didn't want to drag her into anything"
"I see, how do you think she will take me being her mate and me being what I am?" I ask really wanting to know if I need to give her more time or tell her soon.
Jade thinks for a minute "well she has always has been an open minded person so I think she would take it well but get to know her a little more. Take her out or something. She's conflicted right now. You need to assure her that you care for her and that the teacher student ordeal isn't something she needs to word about. oh!" She says like a light bulb went off in her head "how have your powers progressed?"
"How did you know about that?"
"Rose told me what happened, don't worry I didn't tell her what was really going on" she reassures me
"Oh thank you and very nicely, I can control metal now which I only used to be able to control technology and I can go into people's dreams" I say "of course when me and Rose are mated we will share telepathy" she nods
"Wow that's amazing I have a little bit telepathy, not much though, I know when people are mates considering how strong that emotion and feeling is I'm still working on expanding it though. Oh and I can also do this" she say putting up her hand and ball of red and orange fire pops up, amazed I stare at her.
"Very impressive" I tell her
"Thank you" she say proud "and this" she starts saying things in Latin and I don't have time to catch any of the words. All of a sudden the dying flower, that was given to me on the first day of school, starts to bloom again, the brown coloring disappearing and replaced with a bright green stem and leaves, and the wilted petals pop up turning red again.
"Very talented for such a young with" I complement
"Thank you, my mom and Grandmother help me a lot" she says
"Have you found your mate?" I ask
"Who knows if I even have one, I'm a witch. It's not guaranteed that I to have one, I hope maybe one day I'll meet him though."
"I'm sure you will" I tell her "will you do me a favor?"
"Sure what is it?"
"Well first get that Scott guy away from her, she's mine not his and I won't allow him to flirt with my mate" I say angered at the thought, she starts to chuckle and says
"You strong leaders and your mates geez your almost as bad as alphas, you do control half of America right?"
"Correct, you really checked up on me didn't you?" I say smirking
"Hell yeah, I couldn't have my best friend have a crazy vampire mate but the creatures I have spoken to say you're quit loyal, caring, strong, hard working seeing as I haven't seen many vampires killings in this area" She says I smile, ok I like this girl
"My second favor is please protect her, I can't do everything I wish I could right now" I beg
"I have for a very long time, sometimes I couldn't make it in time, she had a really bad childhood she didn't tell about it until we were in middle school and she came to school with a big black ey-" she says but stops I guess because she saw my face, my anger was growing at every word she said I felt my eyes darken from anger. "it's not my secret to tell I'm sorry I have to get to class. Rose will tell you in time, I know she likes you a lot just be patient with her, she has a hard time trusting people" even though I wish she would tell me everything I respect her loyalty to Rose. I nod my head and begin to write her a pass to her next period. When I hear a vibrating sound I look up to see Jade pulling out her phone, her face turns from straight to horror which spikes my worry. She looks shocked at whatever is on her phone, not moving a muscle.
"Jade what's wrong? what happened?" I ask in a rush
"It's....it's" she stutters
"It's what?!" I speak loudly, she looks up from her phone with the same shocked expression and speaks
"It's Rose, she's headed to the hospital"
