The decision between change or remaining in a broken mindset is hard. It's a battle between your mind and you heart, the outcome is unpredictable
So when Autumn's blue eyes faded into a soft flow of the ocean in the summers sun, her heart spoke to her. But her mind guarded the door so it couldn't have access to any decisions
But the most she could do was at least be a decent person to the girl that showed any sort of care towards her besides business
"Do you wanna know something Kate?"
"Mhm?" the brunette hummed
"You're not all that bad as I thought" Autumn said as she glanced over to the girl
"Should I take that as a compliment? Because?" Kate chuckled
"It is. You're.. Different from people. There's still that warm glow in your heart, hell, there's still a heart in the first place. This industry has a way of chewing you up and spitting you out as just bones and an alcoholic" Autumn mumbled
"That's dark" Kate pouted
"Don't let anyone bring your spirits down. You have hope, you know exactly what you want for your future. There's a light inside you that dies out in alot of people but you've still got it. Keep that light shining Kate, I promise it'll take you places" Autumn muttered
The brunette couldn't help but frown at Autumn when hearing her words. The raven hair girl seemed so calm when talking, her eyes gave off a different twinkle than what she was accusomted to. Kate wondered what changed in her, or when it even changed. It's been such a short amount of time and they've been becoming so comfortable with each other day by day.
Maybe they were figuring each other out by just being in the same space and it was interesting to see
"That... That's actually sweet coming from you" Kate said
"Why do you say that?" Autumn questioned
"Isn't it obvious?" the brunette asked
"No. It's not. Do tell" Autumn mumbled again
"Well the first day we met you did call me a bitch" Kate chuckled
"Listen! I has just broke up with my girlfriend then" Autumn giggled
"I get it. I really do. It's just... Interesting to see this side of you" Kate mumbled
"This side of me?" Autumn asked as if she had no clue what the girl was talking about
"Yes. This side of you. The person who is actually opening up and talking about what she feels instead of slamming a door in people's faces. The person who isn't afraid to show her smile, the person who is being genuine right now and although we're at this dinner for a work assignment, I honestly just want to say it's been great to actually see you Autumn. To see the real you" The brunette mumbled
But the only thing Autumn could focus on was that fact that Kate said they were on a work assignment
She knew May had told them to talk to each other, find out their lives but it wasn't Autumn's intentions tonight. She used it as an excuse to see the girl because frankly, she couldn't get enough of her
But she wasn't going to come clean about that anytime soon
But it still stung a little
"Oh yeah. Work assignment, sure" Autumn muttered under her breath
"What was that?" Kate asked
"Oh, nothing. Don't worry about it"
"Hm" Kate hummed but eyed the girl suspiciously
"Have you ever been with anyone?" Autumn asked
"I.. I have. I've been with two guys actually" Kate said
"Why not any girls?" the actress asked as she folded her arms against her chest, sinking into her seat
"Um.. You could say that girls don't pay attention to me" Kate mumbled with a bright glow on her cheek
"You're being serious right now?" Autumn asked
"yes" She chuckled
"They look take one look at me and walk away"
"Fuck them. They're blind" Autumn rolled her eyes, causing a flutter to fill Kate's stomach
"You're.. Actually the first girl I've ever.. Been.. With like.. That" Kate whispered, her eyes glancing at the blue eyed girl
Autumn tilted her head to the side with a raised eyebrow and a side smirk on her face
"Really?" Autumn chuckled as she leaned her elbows onto the table
There was a moment where Kate's coffee brown eyes locked with the ocean, drowning her brown with its strong waves, taking away what was pure and leaving her paralyzed in her own body.
Their faces were inches apart when they both leaned on the table, their eyes piercing into each other as if they were trying to learn every speck of each others features.
To create a blueprint of their tension
"Yes" Kate whispered as her eyes fell onto the girl's lips
That side smirk of Autumn's seemed to grew even wider as she glanced around the room, making sure no one was paying attention to them
"I hope I was good" Autumn muttered
"Oh God yes" Kate whispered in an almost moan causing the actress to chuckle softly
"If it helps, you tasted amazing" Autumn whispered as she caught her plump bottom lip between her teeth
Kate lost herself in the moment, a fire had travel to the pit of her stomach and settled right in her core. The girl crossed her thighs together as her bottom lip trembled slightly
Her eyes couldn't resist staring at those soft plump lips on the actress sitting across from her. Her heart leaped out of her chest at the thought of even leaning over there and kissing them, something she's been craving to do for so long
"I swear you're going to kill me right now" Kate muttered
"Oh? But I'm not doing anything" Autumn smirked
"You know exactly what you're doing" Kate whispered causing the girl to chuckle
But her laughter died down when a tall figure walked past them, heading over to a table nearby. Autumn's brows furrowed as she stared at the man with a glare, but Kate hadn't noticed it yet.
"We should head home" Autumn said, standing to her feet and breaking their contact so suddenly
Kate shook her head to snap out of her daze but she hadn't have the time to react when Autumn hooked her hands around her wrist and tugged her out of her seat, leading her towards the exit of the restaurant
The host hasn't had the time to even catch up with them before the girls were out of the door and heading towards the familiar limo that was parked outside, awaiting for them. Lucky thing Autumn had her card charged for their meals even before they received it
The backseat of the car was opened and Kate was dashed into the soft cushions without even thinking right
"What the-"
"Shh, there's a photographer that just walked in and took a seat at the back of us. He's more powerful than you'd think and God knows May would be pissed if I fucked up by allowing him to take a photo of us having dinner together like a couple. It'll mess up production" Autumn stated before closing the door
"Oh- you could have said that! I didn't finish my wine" Kate pouted
"You want wine?" Autumn questioned
"Yes?"
The raven hair girl then placed her finger on a button above her head and clicked it. A soft hissing was released and a compartment below their feet was released, a chilled bottle of wine and two glasses was then revealed
Kate's eyes widened at the wine, but then she glance around and realized she was in a whole ass limo
"That was cool" Kate chuckled
"There's a hot tub in the trunk-"
"ARE YOU SERIOUS" Kate hissed as her neck spanned around to loom over their seats
"No. But damn, anyone could trick your ass easily" Autumn snickered as she handed the girl a glass of wine
Kate gave her a death glare but still hooked her fingers around the glass
"Ass" Kate hissed
"A sexy one too" Autumn smirked
"Who lied to you?" Kate glared
"My millions of fans" Autumn winked
"Yeah? Well they lied" Kate chuckled
"You don't think I'm sexy?" Autumn pouted as she tilted her head to the side
"I- Um"
"See. I knew it" Autumn winked
"I didn't say yes!"
"You didn't say no either" Autumn laughed
"I hate you"
"I hate me too sometimes" Autumn smirked as raised her glass to the air then downing the glass of wine like water
"Wow" Kate muttered
"Impressed?" She asked
"Honestly? Yes" Kate chuckled
"Good. Because it's hard to catch your attention sometimes" Autumn mumbled as she glanced at the girl
"Who said that?"
"It's just something I noticed" Autumn mumbled
Maybe it was the three glasses of wine she's had during their dinner but Kate had no idea what was taking control and bringing some sort of confidence towards her body
"You do realize you always have all of my attention, right?"
