"Kuroo-- I'm pregnant."
Y/N watched Kuroo as a slew of emotions overtook his face. The shock and anxiousness was evident on his face as his eyes looked down at Y/N's stomach and then back to her fearful gaze. Before Y/N had a chance to say anything else, she felt a strong pair of arms wrap around her and her face was buried in Kuroo's warm chest. He let out a slight chuckle as his arms pulled Y/N even closer till there was no space between them, their bodies pressed up against each other. Y/N felt Kuroo part slightly from their embrace as he kissed her on the forehead and looked down at her-- his eyes full of love and excitement.
"I'm gonna be a dad? Really?"
Y/N nodded at Kuroo's words silently, afraid that her voice would betray her, her emotions running wild.
"I'm gonna be a fucking dad.... I've never been this happy. I love you so fucking much Y/N."
Y/N stared back at Kuroo in shock-- the anger that she had expected from him never coming. As she stared at Kuroo's eyes, she could see nothing but love. This crazy black haired male stared at her as if she was the most precious thing in the world. His hand slowly ran over her stomach-- moving in small comforting circles.
"You're not... not mad?"
Instead of responding, Kuroo gently pressed Y/N against the nearest wall-- his lips instantly covering hers. The kiss was slow, passionate, and full of love-- Kuroo's tongue taking it's time as it explored every inch of her mouth. Slowly he broke the kiss, his hands immediately finding her waist and giving it a little squeeze.
"Does that answer your question? Of course I'm not mad Chibi-chan. You literally just made me the happiest man on earth. Of course this is unexpected, but it doesn't make a difference to me. As soon as I met you at that party back in college, I knew that you were the one for me-- I knew that one day we'd get to this point. I love you so much."
Y/N smiled softly as she wrapped her hands around Kuroo's neck pulling him in closer.
"I love you too Kuroo-- so damn much."
Y/N and Kuroo shared one more passionate kiss, their tongues moving in sync like they were dancing. As Y/N broke the kiss, Kuroo's eyes suddenly widened, his hands moving to Y/N's shoulders.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I should've asked first... do you want to keep the baby? I know that's not my decision to make. If you don't it's okay cause I know one day we'll--"
"Kuroo-- I want to have it... I want to have your child, our child."
Kuroo's eyes lit up with excitement at Y/N's words, his arms engulfing her in yet another embrace. A slight silence spread over them before Kuroo broke it-- his deep voice sending vibrations through Y/N's body.
"What Tsukishima was going to say... was he about to tell me that--"
"Yeah... yeah he was."
"You told him first, instead of me?"
Y/N's breath hitched in her throat as she heard the wariness in Kuroo's voice. She instantly looked up, her piercing blue eyes trapping his hazel ones.
"It wasn't on purpose Kuroo, I swear. Once our meeting ended, I snuck out of the room since I felt nauseous and Kiyoko followed me. She was the one who had me take a pregnancy test and then Tsukishima...well I guess he thought something was wrong and he burst through the bathroom door. He noticed the test before I was able to hide it from him."
Kuroo listened intently to Y/N, his eyes never breaking contact with hers. He noticed Y/N debating on saying something more so he stayed quiet and waited for her to continue speaking.
"Tsukki... he was the one who told me to tell you. He said that you needed to know more than anyone and that I should tell you before we--"
"You weren't going to tell me?"
Kuroo stepped back from Y/N, his hands running through his messy hair in frustration.
"You... you were going to hide this from me?"
Y/N's heart hurt as she heard Kuroo's voice crack, his eyes filled with a new mix of emotions. His body tensed as Y/N quickly closed the distance between them, her hand gently cupping his cheek.
"I wasn't going to hide it... or you know maybe I was. But-- I was afraid that if I told you, you'd take me off of this mission. I can't stay behind on this, I need to be there for my sister. I'm not even a month along yet so I'll be fine! I just gotta take it easy and--"
"Of course I'm going to take you off of this mission! You think I'll let my pregnant girlfriend go to fight one of the most dangerous mafias? This is Inarizaki we are talking about! You've heard the rumors about them too haven't you? There's no way that--"
Y/N cut Kuroo off as she retracted her hand from his face and tried to move past him. Kuroo noticed however and quickly blocked off her path, using both of his arms to trap her between them and against the wall.
Y/N's gaze met his pissed off one, both of them refusing to back down.
"It's because I've heard the rumors Kuroo... it's because I know what Inarizaki is capable of that I have to go! This is my one chance to act as an older sister, to be there for Miki. I won't let anyone stop me from doing this-- even if it's you."
Kuroo's furious gaze continued to meet Y/N's piercing blue eyes, silence filling the room once again as they both stared at each other. Finally Kuroo's eyes softened slightly, a groan escaping his lips as he leaned his forehead against hers.
"You're so damn stubborn, you know that right?"
Y/N nodded slightly against his forehead before moving in to hug him, her head resting in the crook of Kuroo's neck.
"I know... but you were the one who decided to fall in love with this stubborn ass, so don't go blaming me."
Kuroo chuckled as he returned Y/N's embrace, his head moving so that his chin rested on top of her head.
"You got me there Chibi-chan~"
Breaking the embrace, Y/N looked up to meet Kuroo's gaze once more-- silently pleading with him to reconsider. Kuroo clicked his tongue in annoyance before flicking her in the forehead. Y/N rubbed her forehead in annoyance, a red mark already starting to form from his harsh flick.
"Ow what the fuck was--"
"Listen, I know either way your stubborn ass is going to come, whether I like it or not. So you're coming, but you must be my side at all times. And if things get too violent, you listen to me. If I tell you to run, then run. If I tell you to hide, then hide. Sound fair to you Chibi-chan?"
Y/N smiled as she leaned in to deliver a quick peck to Kuroo's lips.
"Yes dad... I promise I'll listen. You have my word."
Y/N's mocking tone was quickly shut down as Kuroo pushed her forcibly up against the wall, one of his hands trapping both of her arms above her head. His hot breath fanned over her ear as he leaned in, chuckling deeply.
"Dad? I like the sound of that... in more ways than one."
Y/N's face turned beat red in embarrassment at Kuroo's comment, realizing her previous words could be taken in more ways than one.
"As much as I'd like to continue this conversation..."
Kuroo playfully bit Y/N's ear earning a small moan from her before he pulled away, his playful gaze meeting hers.
"I think it's about time we get going. Come on Chibi-chan, let's go."
Y/N looked down at Kuroo's outstretched hand and smiled. Grabbing it, she intertwined her fingers with his, earning a small smile to appear on Kuroo's lips.
"Hey Kuroo--- thank you."
Kuroo smiled down at Y/N and squeezed her hand before slowly guiding them outside of Fukurodani's headquarters and heading to the vans full of their new team that was patiently waiting for them.
"This time it's my turn to protect you... I promise I'll keep you safe-- no matter what. Now let's go kick some Inarizaki ass and save that sister of yours. Shall we get going?"
Y/N squeezed Kuroo's hand back in reply and looked up at him. Her gentle smile caused Kuroo's heart to flutter as she raised their intertwined hands to her lips and placed a soft kiss on the back of his hand.
"I love you Kuroo."
"I love you too Y/N... so fucking much."
