Third Person's POV
Uzumaki Naruto, who is currently 4 years old was walking around Konohagakure. As he was walking around, the villagers gave him glares and gossiped behind his back.
"It's him again"
"That demon should've died 4 years ago"
"What was the Fourth Hokage thinking?"
"Don't talk to him. We don't know what trouble he may cause"
Naruto only frowned from the gossips and glares. He may be a 4 year old but he understood every word the villagers were saying. He ran quickly to his apartment, went in and closed the door locking it. He lied down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. 'Am I really... a demon?' he thought to himself. 'Did my parents leave me because I'm a demon?' 'Do other kids avoid me because I am a demon?' and he continues to ask himself different questions ending each one with the word 'demon'.
His heart felt heavy, because he was sad that no one acknowledged him, excluding the Third Hokage, and Teuchi and Ayame from Ichiraku Ramen. He closed his eyes, fighting back from the tears that threatened to pour out of his eyes. But in the end, he cried silently.
After a few minutes of crying Naruto finally calmed down and exhaled. Thinking about his current life making him more sad. Since he didn't want to cry again he went to sleep.
He woke up finding himself in a sewer, with water on the floor that reached above his knees. He got up and observed the place trying to figure out how he ended up there. Then he felt a powerful presence, he looked ahead and walked to where the source of the presence was coming from. He turned a left and walked towards the darkness. As he walked into the light, he was greeted with a large gate in front of him, with a seal at the center.
"Where am I?" Naruto asked to himself
"You're in your mindscape" a powerful voice said, Naruto looked at the gate and tried to see through the other side. And the one on the other side of the gate finally presented himself to Naruto, revealing a red-orange colored fox with red eyes and black slits, black fur around the eyes that stretched up to its ears, and nine long tails.
"So my jailer comes to greet me huh?"
"Who are you?" Naruto asked, looking at the large fox in awe, the fox let out a small growl
"I am the Kyūbi no Kitsune (Nine-tailed Fox)"
"Kyūbi.. so you are the reason why people hate me?" although it didn't show on his face, the Kyūbi was quite surprised that his jailer knew or had the idea of why he is hated.
"Do you hate me for it?" the Kyūbi asked, Naruto just shook his head
"Not really" the Kyūbi was a bit taken aback from Naruto's reply. He let out a deep growl as he lowered his head to see the young boy closer and glared at him
"Do you fear me?" he asked as if he was threatening him. Naruto stared at the Kyūbi and shrugged
"No" Naruto's reply seemed to anger the Kyūbi who let out a rawr
"How are you not afraid of me?" Naruto stared at the Kyūbi who was mad
"Because instead of seeing you as a monster or demon, I actually see you as a big kind of little fuzzball" Naruto said as he smiled a bit at the large fox. The Kyūbi let out a loud roar, obviously mad from what Naruto called him
"You brat! I am the Kyūbi no Kitsune, feared by all! And you have the gal to call me a little fuzzball?!" The Kyūbi asked Naruto, who continue to stare at the fox
"But it's true.." and with that, the large fox gave up
"You're a weird kid.."
"It seems like it" there was silence between the both of them. Naruto continued to stare at the fox and asked
"I heard you attacked the village 4 years ago. Mind if you tell me about it?" The Kyūbi looked at Naruto and looked away
"What would you gain from that knowledge?"
"I just wanna know. I overheard a few ninjas talking about the attack" Naruto walked closer to the cage as he talked
"And I believe that there's more that meets the eye" Naruto asked as he looked at the Kyūbi, with curiousity and seriousness in his eyes. The Kyūbi just sighed, he sat cross-legged facing the young boy
"Fine. Be ready for this is gonna take a while" Naruto nodded signaling the Kyūbi to start
(You guys know the drill, from Naruto being born with the masked man controlling our big kind of little fuzzball. Anyways, *does a few hand seals* Time Release: Timeskip no Jutsu!)
"I'm the son of the Yondaime Hokage (Fourth Hokage)?" Naruto asked as the Kyūbi finished his story telling
"Hmph, I'm not surprised you don't know" Naruto looked at the large fox with a questioned look, the large fox only rolled his eyes slightly
"They didn't tell you because if word got out that the Yondaime had a son and is a Jinchūriki at the same time, then you'd be targeted by other villages" Naruto stared at the fox
"You sound worried"
"No way in hell am I worried!" the large fox said, Naruto let out a little laugh. 'This kid is really weird..' the Kyūbi thought
"Haha, now I completely don't hate you!" the Kyūbi furrowed his brows looking at the 4 year old
".. What?"
"During the attack 4 years ago you didn't do it because you wanted to. It's because you were controlled! So I don't hate you completely and I don't blame you for the hatred I'm receiving from the villagers!" Naruto exclaimed with a smile, the Kyūbi only looked at him, uncertainty in his eyes
"You really are a weird kid"
"I know" Naruto smiled at the Kyūbi. The Kyūbi continued to stare at the blonde kid at the other side of the gate, 'This kid seems different from my other hosts..' he thought
"What's a Jinchūriki?" the blonde boy asked
"A Jinchūriki is a person with a tailed beast sealed inside of them" Naruto looked at his tummy and placed a hand on it, he then looked at the large fox
"From your description, it seems like I'm not the only one.. are there other people like me too?" he asked, the Kyūbi replied
"Yeah" Naruto looked at the large fox in amazement,
"So are you saying there are more large foxes with nine tails like you out there?" he asked excitedly, a small tick mark appeared on the Kyūbi's head
"No you brat! There are other tailed beast's like me, each with a different kind of animal and a different number of tails that counts from 1 to 9" the Kyūbi explained, Naruto put his index finger to his chin and looked up
"If you're the Kyūbi.. then the others are like Ichibi (One-tailed), Nibi (Two-tailed), Sanbi (Three-tailed), until your number Kyūbi right?" Naruto assumed, the Kyūbi nodded his head
"That's right" Naruto let out a 'woah' clearly amazed with what he discovered today,
"Since you're the Kyūbi does that mean your the strongest out of all the nine tailed beast's?" Naruto asked, the Kyūbi smirked a little
"That's right brat"
"Woah.. I'm honored to have the strongest tailed beast sealed inside of me!" he exclaimed, the Kyūbi sweat dropped 'This kid is really weird..' he thought, his gaze seem to soften up a little bit
"You're really different"
"Different?" the Kyūbi nodded
"My previous hosts couldn't care less about me and only want me to stay quiet inside them. But you.." the Kyūbi hesitated for a moment but gave in when Naruto was looking at him with curiosity from what he's about to say
"You seem better than my previous hosts" Naruto blinked a few times at the large fox
"Better..? How am I better from your previous hosts?" he asked, the Kyūbi just sighed
"Well.. it's the first time you're meeting me and you're just casually conversing with me. And you don't even blame me with the attack 4 years ago" he explained as Naruto nodded, he then looked down
"But I was the one who killed your parents"
"Well, I am mad at you that you killed my parents" thd Kyūbi frowned from what Naruto said
"Sorry.."
"Oh wow. Did the almighty Kyūbi just say sorry to a 4 year old?" Naruto teased, the Kyūbi looked mad
"Shut up!" he looked away from the blonde boy
"And here I was feeling bad.. tch" he muttered, Naruto just laughed at the Kyūbi's reaction
"But, that's to be expected. From what you've gone through the past years, it's expected that you wouldn't trust humans, especially being sealed into one against your own will" the Kyūbi looked back at Naruto, surprised from his response
"What do you know about my life before?"
"Well from what you told me about your previous hosts, I made an assumption that your life was pretty rough with us humans. Am I right?" ths Kyūbi was surprised by Naruto's explaination
"Probably"
"So I am right" silence fill between the both of them
"You don't have to worry!" the Kyūbi jerked his head to Naruto. Naruto then gave him a big close eyed smile
"You're not a monster or a demon to me. You're my friend!" the Kyūbi was shocked but frowned
"Friend?"
"Yup!"
"You think we're friends?" Naruto laughed a little
"We're both talking to each other casually so it's normal to think we're friends" he then looked to the side
"Unless you don't wanna.." Naruto said quietly but was loud enough for the large fox to hear. The Kyūbi just sighed
"I guess.."
"Huh?"
"I guess it's fine.. to say we're friends.." the Kyūbi said reluctantly, uncertain about this sudden development with his new host. Naruto looked at him wide-eyed but gave a big grin
"Thanks Kyū!" a tick mark appeared on the Kyūbi's head
"Don't you dare call me that nickname!"
"But what should I call you then?" he asked, the Kyūbi sighed
"Kurama. My name is Kurama"
"Kurama.. it sounds cute for your appearance" he teased
"Shut up!" Naruto laughed at the large fox's reaction
"Well, nice to meet you Kurama! I'm Uzumaki Naruto!" he said pointing his thumb to himself
"Please take good care of me from now on!" he said, Kurama smiled at the boy
"Yeah.." Naruto grinned at Kurama
"Anyways, I better get going now. I'm hungry" he said as he sweat dropped, Kurama only chuckled in response
"We can still communicate outside of your mindscape" Naruto widened his eyes
"Really? Like mind communication?" he asked excitedly, Kurama nodded
"That's so cool.."
"By the way Naruto, I have an offer for you"
"An offer?" he asked as he tilted his head slightly to the right
"What offer?"
"Since I'll be watching over you from now on how about I train you?" Naruto had stars in his eyes
"Really? You'll train me?" Kurama nodded and Naruto smiled
"Please do! I'd like to be trained!" Kurama laughed a little at Naruto's reaction
"But.. aren't I a little young to be trained? Can I do it?" he asked
"Of course you can. Besides, from our conversation now, it seems that you're smarter than other kids your age. You may be a kid but you're understanding and wise like an adult so you should be able to learn quick" he explained, Naruto blushed from embarrassment as he scratched the back of his head
"Thanks I guess.." he said as he sweat dropped,
"So when do we start?"
"Tomorrow"
"Okay then! Is there anything I need to prepare?" he asked, Kurama smirked at Naruto making him a bit nervous
"Yes.. you should prepare your entire being, you may be my host but I won't go easy on you" Naruto sweat dropped
"Y-yes sir"
"Aside from that, you need a few things"
"Which is?"
"I believe there's a scroll of jutsu that your parents left behind. Since you're an Uzumaki you should have a natural talent for Fūinjutsu (Sealing Technique)" Naruto nodded
"By the way, the scrolls are somehwere in the Hokage tower"
"Won't I get in trouble for that?"
"Should be fine. The Sandaime (Third Hokage) doesn't even know about its whereabouts in the Hokage tower. And it's rightfully yours since you're the son of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina" Naruto nodded
"Also, get a few scrolls from the libary for other jutsu. And get a chakra paper for your affinity" Naruto nodded
"Just in case I'll forget you'll just remind me right?" Kurama nodded,
"Okay then, see ya Kurama!"
"I'm just in your mind brat!"
Naruto opened his eyes to find himself in his bed. It was almost dusk, and he needed to prepare dinner
"Gotta eat!" he jumped out of bed and went to the kitchen to get a cup ramen to eat
"By the way Naruto, we need to fix that. Eat more vegetables and fruits!" Kurama exlaimed from Naruto's mind
"Okay okay! I'll try to get vegetables and fruits from Teuchi-san and Ayame-san!" he responded, 'So this is how we'll communicate outside of the mindscape, pretty cool!' he thought. Minutes later he ate his cup ramen and headed to the Hokage tower to get the scroll of Fūinjutsu, got a few scrolls from the library about other jutsu and went to Ichiraku Ramen to ask them to buy him chakra paper and fruits and vegetables using his own money. The day after that, they started training.
Okkaayy. This is my first time making a Naruto ff and I'm really excited😁 btw, don't expect much the fight scenes since I suck at it bit I'll try my best to make them!! Anyways, look forward to bext chapter
