The morning rolled by and it was lunch time already
A very very hungry Neha is standing in front of the cafe, looking inside, drooling over the pizza kept in the glass case
People usually have a fight between their heart and brain and Neha is having a fight between her stomach and the brain
Her brain keeps reminding her of Pihu's taunts and her stomach urges her to go in and grab the pizza
Pizza, the love of her life
Who is more important??
Pihu or Pizza??
It definitely is Pizza, but then she couldn't erase Pihu's taunts as well
Her brain formed an image of Pihu wearing nothing more than an underwear and holding a pitchfork, an evil smirk on her face
"Stop drooling over the pizza. If you are hungry, go inside and eat." Neha looked at the direction of the voice and saw one of the twins
"Heyy, you" she greeted without much enthusiasm earning a frown from the boy
"What happened?? Why do you look so depressed??" Zian asked. He doesn't know the girl well. Have only seen her once, but he had got the impression that the girl has a sunny disposition. But now she looked downright miserable
He was looking for her actually. He wanted to talk to her
"I'm hungry" she said rubbing her tummy
"Then why are you standing outside the cafe. Go in and eat. Did you forget to bring money. Is that it?? Come in. I will get you something" Zian offered
He didn't like that look on her face
She looked good smiling, he decided
"I have money. But I'm on a diet" Neha said pouting
"Diet?? Why would you need a diet?? You look perfect" as soon as the words came out, Zian regretted saying that
Now, what would this girl think of him?? That he is some kind of creep going around checking out girls
Her eyes lit up
"You think so??"
"Uh, well. I mean. You don't look bad. I mean you are okay. You don't need dieting" Zian struggled with words
Neha turned to look at the pizza again
"I love pizza"
"I can see that"
"But I don't like all the pizzas. I hate it when they add pineapple in the pizza. It's not that I don't like pineapple. Infact I love pineapple. Pineapple juice is my favorite among fresh juices"
"That's -"
"Heyy. I can drink juice even if I'm on diet right?" Neha snapped her finger at her eureka moment
"Ofcourse you can"
Her smile dimmed again
"But there will be sugar in the juice. That would affect my diet."
"You can have sugar free juice" Zian offered wondering why he is still having this silly conversation with her
"Sugar free juice??. Then what is the purpose of drinking the juice if it won't taste sweet. It's not as if I'm diabetic. Not that diabetic people have their juices sugar free. Actually my papa is diabetic. And he is very strict when in comes to his tea and coffee. Not even a drop of sugar in it. But then he eats all the other sweets leisurely. Laddoos jalebis gulab jamun..everything. That's how he follows his diet."
Zian rolled his eyes
What were they really talking about??
Oh yeah. She is hungry. That's where it started. And now it has reached her father's diabetes.
He better put a brake to her talks or else he would be listening to what her father's dietician's granddaughter's new frock color is
"Look. You said you were hungry. Come inside. I will buy you a pizza as an apology??" Zian said and ushered a confused Neha inside the cafe
"Apology?? For what?? "
"I was a little rude yesterday. I'm not usually like that. And I don't know what came over me yesterday. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. I'm really sorry" zian apologised genuinely
He couldn't sleep well yesterday. It had been bugging him all night that he had been short with a girl for no serious reason
"It's okay Zian. That was yesterday. It's today. Raat gayi baat gayi" she smiled shrugging her shoulders
"You figured out who I am??" Zian asked raising an eyebrow perfectly making Neha instantly envious
"Yeah"
"How did you find out??"
"Well. You didn't flirt with me. You didn't ask for my number. If you were Zahir, you would definitely have done that"
"Hmm. I underestimated you. You are smart" Zian smiled impressed
"I'm smart. But it's my best friend who found out."
"Oh. Your best friend seems to know me and my brother very well"
"Duh. The whole college knows"
"But none of them knows how to differentiate between us. But your friends seems smart. She did that without actually meeting us"
By then the waiter placed a pizza in front of her
"Oh no. When did you order. I can't eat. I'm on diet" she said without taking her eyes from the pizza
If she can't eat, she could atleast look and fill her stomach
"That is non sense. You don't need dieting... By the way what's your name??"
"Neha Bhatia"
"Yeah Neha. You don't look as if you need a diet. If you are health conscious, I think it would be better to start working out. That way you can eat to your heart's content and still remain fit"
"Work out?? No way. That would be a serious damage to my personality."
Zian frowned. How can a work out change one's personality
"Anyways. I want to loose wait. I won't give that little devil another chance to call me moti" Neha said determined, her eyes straying to the pizza once again
Zian sighed
"Let people call you whatever they want. What matters is what you think about yourself. Do you think you are good at heart Neha??" Zian asked
"I think so"
"That's the only thing that matters. About your appearance, change yourself if that's what you want. Not because that's what others expect. If you ask me, I would say change nothing about you" Zian said genuinely
"You are right. I don't care what she thinks. Why should I care anyway. That two feet two inch devil can go to hell" Neha said as she happily dug into her pizza
"Two feet two inch?? How old is this girl you were talking about"
"Five" zian looked at her in disbelief
"Can you buy me a pineapple juice also??" Neha asked cutely and Zian ordered that for her shaking his head
They both looked up when they heard a discreet cough and saw Zada standing there with her arms folded on her chest raising an eyebrow at the duo
Zian had a caught look on his face and Neha beamed at her eating the pizza happily not knowing the plight Zian is in
