Do you ever feel like being so close to victory and yet so distant. Do you ever feel like yes! I have finally reached where I hope to be and yet! What if I screw up ..what if...that doubt making that possibility even further than it was ever before.
Because that is exactly what Ash was feeling as he proceeded to his final battle. His semi finals were mediocre according to him at best. At least according to standards of his battle with Paul but he knew that in finale, his competitor was just going to be something else. A much more powerful trainer and would he able to beat her ?
Last evening
"Hey Ash! Come on. What is troubling your mind ? " Dawn asked.
"Yeah! You just entered finals man . I couldn't even dream of reaching this far when I arrived here to compete." Stephan chimed.
"I know. That is why I am more psyched than ever because I have finally reached the end of line. End of everything." Ash sighed.
Now
"Please welcome Rihana of Sailstone city , a trainer with fiery passion and tactics." As a girl with dark blue hair entered the scene.
"And Ash Ketchum, who has shown incredible power of each of his Pokemon and don't forget his legendary Draceon." The commentator chuckled as audience cheered as both trainers stood firmly on the brink of rocky field.
"For my first Pokemon, I choose you Amphoros." She kissed her pokeball as she threw it up in the air.
Ash checked out Amphoros in his pokedex.
"Amphoros, the electric giraffe Pokemon. The bulb on its neck helps to guide travellers in dark."
"Well then go Emolga." Ash brought out his Pokemon.
"Amphoros. Use thundershock...." She commanded.
"Emolga! Use thundershock too." Ash said as both attacks clashed against each other as Emolga was thrown to rock knocked out .
"You see , Ash . I like to end my battles quick." She chuckled.
"Emolga return. Well in that case , go Pikachu." Ash smiled as it landed in the field.
"Amphoros! Use thunder punch
" She said.
"Pikachu ! Dodge it and use volt tackle." Ash commanded as Pikachu landed heavy attack on Amphoros smashing it into rocks.
"Now use iron tail." Ash said as Pikachu rolled in the air hitting Amphoros knocking it out.
"Return Amphoros. Go Marshtomp." She brought out her second Pokemon.
"Pikachu ! Use thunderbolt on the ground." Ash commanded as the ground started to break and Marshtomp lost its balance.
"Marshtomp! Use hydropump." She said.
"Not so fast . Pikachu! Use quick attack to dodge it and then use electro ball." He said as Pikachu climb up the rocks hitting Marshtomp with electro ball as water crackled with electricity and Marshtomp fell down knocked out .
"Return . Go Clevile." She brought our her third Pokemon.
"Pikachu ! Use electro ball." Ash said.
"Use shadow call." She commanded as Clevile counteracted the attack with it .
"Well Pikachu! Use thunderbolt." Ash said as Clevile fell down knocked out .
"And now folks, there will be a field change after a short break." Announcer stated.
"It doesn't make sense. I mean it is too easy. She is literally in final. How can she just lose like that!" Ash groaned looking at her.
Soon the field changed to ice.
"Go Pangoro." She brought out her fourth Pokemon.
"Pikachu ! I know you are tired. So take long rest ." Ash told him as Pikachu laid back relieved.
"Go Zorua!" Ash brought out his Pokemon.
"Pangoro! Use swift." She commanded as Zorua started taking attacks.
"Zorua! Use payback." Ash commanded as Zorua leaped at Pangoro.
"Oops! Your mistake. Pangoro! Use gravity smash." As Ash was startled. What is that attack! He soon got to know as Pangoro caught Zorua and jumped high in the air and then smashed it into ground knocking it out.
"Wow! Go Arkanine." Ash composed himself.
"So it is Arkanine now. It is good Pokemon." She chuckled.
"Arkanine! Use extreme speed." Ash commanded as it hit Pangoro.
"Pangoro! Use hyperbeam." She said .
"Arkanine! Dodge it and then use overheat." Ash said .
Arkanine barely escaped the beam that passed through and was barely able to hit Pangoro due to slippery ice field.
"Pangoro! Use gravity smash." She commanded.
"Arkanine! Use flamethrower now " Ash shouted just as Pangoro picked it up as Pangoro stopped him and fell down .
"Ah! Good tactic. Go Greninja." She brought out her Pokemon.
"Arkanine! Use extreme speed." He said.
"No! You don't. Greninja dodge it with your agility and then use cut." She commanded as Arkanine stopped in its tracks confused when all of sudden greninja came with its water dagger hitting it as Arkanine stood up writhing and then fell down.
"Arkanine return. Go Dragonite." Ash brought out his Pokemon. She was catching up fast. Ash sighed.
"Greninja! Use Aerial ace." She commanded.
"Dragonite! Let's end this even quicker. Use hyperbeam." Ash said. Greninja was greatly hit by the hyperbeam attack and went all the way smashing into ice knocked out .
But something unexpected happened. After such a score, Ash and all were quite expecting her to feel down or to think that now she has only one Pokemon.
But she. She was smiling.
"This Pokemon now that I have is the only Pokemon I need to win this League, Ash . Because you can't defeat him. So go my friend and show me your skills now." She kissed her pokeball as all waited in anticipation of what Pokemon it was.
"It can't be.." Ash stepped back as all gasped.
"Yes it is. Dialga, the legendary Pokemon of time is my final Pokemon." She looked at him with piercing eyes.
How! How could she have Dialga.
"Shattered into silence." She laughed.
"What is Ash going to do? How will he fight the time itself?" Serena clutched her chest as all sighed deeply.
"I never give up . Dragonite! Let's show them." Ash said determined.
"Good! I will like to defeat an enemy with spirit. Dialga get ready." She smiled.
"Dragonite! Use ice beam." Ash commanded .
"Dialga ! Use roar of time." She bit her lips as a wormhole opened in the sky sucking ice beam.
"Now use steel rush." She commanded as craters of steel pillars fell from sky impaling dragonite as it fell down.
"Dragonite! Return." Ash sighed.
"Go Draceon." Ash brought out his final Pokemon.
"Dialga ! My precious. Let's end this quick too. Use roar of time." She winked at Ash .
"Draceon! Stand your ground." Ash said as Draceon stood there as the wormhole opened applying huge force.
Draceon started to get sucked by the wormhole.
"Use extreme speed , Draceon." Ash commanded as Rihana's eyes widened. What is he doing? He knows that by using extreme speed, Draceon would just go into wormhole of Dialga. Why would he ever...her thoughts stopped.
Time stopped. Ash and Rihana both saw the audience disappearing. Everything just gone to dust.
"Hello Rihana! You wanted a battle of century. So here I am . Outside of time. We are gonna complete our battle in dimension of Dialga itself. Because today I Ash Ketchum will prove that not even time can stop me." A fiery aura burned in him as he looked at her.
"You can never defeat time. Never. Dialga ! Use roar of time ." She commanded as dimension began to crackle with electricity.
"Draceon! Use dragon force." Ash commanded as she looked up . Dragon force!
Storm of water collided with torrent of electricity as it came with huge force as it all disappiated sending a wave hitting both Ash and Rihana .
"Don't give in. Dialga, use flash cannon!" She said as wa wave of light started to form in shape of spherical ball at its mouth about to be launched.
"Draceon! Today we prove that dragonforce is the greatest power of all time even greater. So use dragonforce.," He commanded.
Both launched their attacks as Draceon started to ride up the waves which were now much more denser and green as both attacks collided against each other distorting time itself as a white light came and both of them were thrown to ground.
There was huge smoke . Ash and Rihana saw that they were back on field as everyone was looking at them eagerly.
The smoke cleared to reveal Dialga fallen and knocked out while Draceon standing.
"And there you have it , folks . The most powerful and unexpected battle ever. A battle where trainers actually disappeared into another dimension to fight and Ash Ketchum has done it. He had defeated Dialga itself with his mighty Draceon, a legendary worth his name ." There was huge announcement as all started to cheer.
Ash laid back tired on ground as Draceon came to him hugging him.
"You were just incredible, Draceon. Just incredible. We finally did it guys." Ash told his Pokemons as they looked elated too
After three years of struggle, journey and training, Ash Ketchum has finally become Pokemon Master . Yes! Journey still remains but much closer than it ever could have been .
"Congratulations Ash!" Stephan shook his hand.
"Oh my Arceus! You are now a champion. This means you are going to battle elite four and..." Bianca was about to say .
"And me . You have great spirit and skills , Ash and especially your Draceon. I look forward to seeing you battle me " A guy with dark black hair shook his hand as Ash was shocked to see champion of Clevan league here.
"Wow Ash! That was amazing." Serena told him.
"I know. " Ash chuckled.
"But hey Ash! Don't you dare think that we have forgotten about what you said? Now you have finally become league champion so Ash !." Dawn and Serena said.
"Not here." Ash grabbed their hands as he took both of them out as Bianca giggled.
"I have had a lot of time to thought about it . To each and every possible extent. And...damn I thought I would be able to say it like I had planned." Ash facepalmed himself as Pikachu sighed.
"Oh ! Come on Ash. I am dying to know whom will you choose out of us?" Both groaned looking at him.
"I think it is better if I show you." Ash said nevously.
"Ash Ketchum! Are you seriously of all people suggesting...." Both began.
"If it is ok with you ." As they both chuckled nodding.
Time freezed as Ash proceeded closer and planted a kiss on Serena as her cheeks turned red.
"So Serena, would you like to be in..." Ash was barely able to complete.
"Yes! Ash! I would." She jumped in his arms hugging him.
"Oh! You chose her." Dawn bit her lips daunted.
"Dawn! I just..." Ash tried to explain.
"It is fine. You had to choose one and Serena could just have been in same situation as me if it has been opposite. Take care, Ash." She patted him on shoulder as she walked away.
"I kinda feel bad for screwing our friendship." Ash sighed looking at as Dawn walked away.
"She will be fine. She is tough, Ash . Plus! It is not your fault. So Ash! What do you say we go on a little bit of stroll together without anyone disturbing?" Serena looked at him and winked.
"But wouldn't people want to..." Ash said.
"People always want something. Today is your day . So Ash Ketchum, what do you say?" She put her arms around him.
"I say let's go. I would love to spend time with you alone without anyone disturbing us." Ash smiled as Pikachu hopped back on his shoulder.
And so Ash won Clevan league and finally got together with Serena . His journey to reach 1 in Pokemon world is far from over but this time , he will not be alone. Both Serena and Ash together will go on their journey in a determined passion to achieve what they want with their Pokemon , always knowing they have each other to count on.
