Ren isn't sure how she got herself into this situation. She never liked kids. She doesn't like kids. She never should have liked kids. After all, when her sister let her carry Sally's tiny form for the first time, that small brat began to cry till she shat right on Ren's good shirt. Babies are a menace.
(To her horror, she feels a horrible ache in her chest as she recalls she never got to hold Abby and Demi as babies. Whatever that feeling is, she needs to get herself checked.)
And here she is, being a nanny to a teenage girl and her two younger siblings. She knows her sister doesn't owe her anything and as an aunt, it is okay to not expect anything (no, maybe, she must... slightly?). She knows they are her sister's children that she hadn't seen for years due to her angst-ridden-self-discovery-journey (which failed brilliantly) and that she should leave the overprotective extravaganza to her sister but that bitch is busy waging a war against her husband, so-
Back to wondering how the heck she got herself into this situation.
She isn't sure why she felt the need to march towards a miniscule ball of hyper-energy- who also happens to be her youngest niece's arch nemesis- about to give that little shit some really good hiding for pushing Abby on the field.
That little worm.
It should be easy. It should be plain easy to grab that gremlin by his collar, lift him up, give him a good shake and all that jazz-
But nobody prepared her for facing the parents.
Once again, Ren wonders how she got herself into this mess even though being a nanny was the last thing she ever considered as a job option.
