Jotaro Kujo. What a mystery of a man he was. He had a cold and indifferent exterior, but beneath that there was a kind and gentle soul.

How did you know that? Well, because he let you see it.

Once. And only once. Unbeknownst to you, though, Jotaro had cursed himself for ever letting that side of him slip out, and he vowed to never ever let you see it again.

It had happened rather suddenly. On your trip to Egypt with the rest of the Crusaders, hotels became your second home. Though, no matter how home-y they felt, they could never quite fulfill what the real thing could.

You stood up from your bed and stretched. Being the only girl on the trip, you were always given a single room to yourself. You didn't have to worry about waking anyone up as you opened the glass door and stepped out onto the balcony. You took in a deep breath of the fresh air before exhaling along with a sigh. You leaned on the railing and admired the city below you. There wasn't too much to look at in the dark of night, though, so you opted instead to look upwards at the stars.

"You couldn't sleep either, huh?" You heard a deep voice ask. You jumped slightly before you turned your head in the direction of the voice.

A floor up and one room over, Jotaro leaned over the railing of his own balcony, peering down at you.

"Oh, it's just you," you responded, "Uh, yeah. I can't seem to fall asleep."

"What?" Jotaro shouted back, cupping his hand around his ear to indicate that he hadn't heard you.

"I said I can't sleep!' You replied, cupping your own hands around your mouth.

You heard a glass door open and watched Jotaro disappear behind the railing for a moment. When he reappeared, he shouted down to ask you to meet him in the lobby. You nodded in agreement before heading back into your room.

Not caring much about what you were wearing, since it was night time and you figured nobody would be in the lobby, you simply slipped on your sandals before leaving the room still in your pajamas. You took the elevator down to the lobby and found Jotaro already waiting there.

He wasn't wearing his usual uniform. Or, well, he wasn't wearing his full uniform. He still had on the pants and the shoes, as well as his tank top. However, he was missing his usual hat and jacket. You couldn't help but notice the way his tank top showed off his muscular frame and you would be lying if you said you weren't a bit flustered.

This was the first moment of many that evening when Jotaro let his guard down. When he saw you in your pajamas, a loose fitting tank top and shorter than average shorts, he swallowed hard. He had always found you beautiful, though he wouldn't admit it, but seeing you like this nearly knocked him dead. He fought to keep his composure as you approached him.

He literally dwarfed you in size, both in height and bulk. You felt extremely intimidated when you finally stopped in front of him, tilting your head back to be able to look him in the eyes.

"Why did you wanna come down here?" You asked, breaking the silence of the impromptu meeting.

"Kakyoin got upset that I was being so loud," Jotaro said absentmindedly. This caused you to giggle at the thought of a sleepy Kakyoin waking up to scold Jotaro.

That was the second time Jotaro let his guard down; when he heard you laugh. The sound was delightfully pleasant and he was surprised to feel the corners of his mouth curving upwards into a smile in response to the noise.

"One of the perks of sleeping alone," you said as you plopped down on one of the couches in the lobby, "no roommate to worry about bothering."

"I wish," Jotaro responded, joining you on the couch.

The two of you started out about a seat cushion apart. It was a comfortable, friendly distance. Neither of you thought much of it. Yet, as time went on, you somehow found that you had inched closer... and closer... and closer. It wasn't until your legs had somehow ended up in his lap that either of you even noticed the closeness. That was strike three for Jotaro.

"Your hands are so big," you had commented, taking one of his hands in yours.

Jotaro could feel the heat rising to his cheeks from the unexpected contact. The feeling of your legs across his lap and his hand in yours sent lightning bolts through his body that he couldn't quite explain.

He didn't mind, though.

"My hands aren't big. Yours are just small," he replied, still allowing you to toy with his hand.

You rolled your eyes. "Says the 6' 5" man."

Jotaro let out a deep chuckle in response. You had never heard him laugh before. He had only ever smiled in joyful moments, or his quiet laughter had been drowned out by the other's voices.

Strike four was the laugh.

You held his hand up in front of you and had him splay out his fingers. You pressed your open palm against his and gasped when you noticed how smaller your hand was in comparison to his huge one.

Jotaro thought that was adorable. Maybe that's why he did what he did next.

He swiftly laced his fingers together with your own, holding your hand in his. Strike five for Jotaro.

You gasped in response, a deep blush spreading across your face. After a moment, you curled your fingers and held his hand, too.

"See," you said, trying to make conversation to help still the beating of your heart, "big hands."

Jotaro could hardly hear a word you said as he tried his best to fight off the instincts his brain pushed him towards. Ignore it. Ignore it. Ignore it.

Strike six came in the form of a gentle kiss he pressed to your lips.

You had been surprised when he grabbed your chin and turned your head towards his. You were even more surprised when he kissed you. The usually moody, brooding Jotaro had spent the whole evening talking, joking, even laughing with you. And now, here he was, kissing you. It didn't take you long to kiss him back. After all, you had harbored your fair share of secret feelings for him throughout your journey. You just never knew he felt the same.

The kiss was a lot shorter than you liked, but you realized that asking him for another might be pushing it too far. So, instead, you simply sat there and stared at him with wide eyes full of wonder and excitement.

Jotaro stared back at you, the same blank expression as always, though his cheeks were slightly pink. He reached up for the brim of his hat to tilt it downwards in the same way he always did, though his hand grasped for something that wasn't there. You couldn't help but giggle again.

The night ended shortly afterwards with the both of you saying goodnight and going back to your rooms once you felt tired enough to sleep. On your way out of the elevator that the two of you had shared, you stood on your tiptoes to press a gentle kiss to Jotaro's cheek. As soon as you left and the elevator doors closed, Jotaro finally realized what he had actually done.

The events of the night replayed in his mind. He thought about each and every moment where he should have stopped himself. He thought about each and every moment where he didn't. He hated that feeling of being so vulnerable in front of you.

He vowed to never do it again.

Fast forward to present day; Jotaro has been ignoring you since that night, hardly paying you any mind at all. No matter how many attempts you've made to talk to him or get him to even acknowledge you, he simply never will.

Fed up with his ridiculous behavior, you follow him out of the restaurant that you had all stopped at for lunch. Jotaro was leaning on the exterior wall of the building, a lit cigarette in his hand. When he saw you exit the restaurant, his whole body tensed up in response.

"I need to talk to you, Kujo," you spat angrily.

"Can it wait?" Was his only reply.

"No, it can't wait, because I've been waiting for days already!"

Jotaro scoffed and rolled his eyes. He dropped his cigarette on the ground and stomped it out before turning and walking down the alley beside the restaurant. Furious that he had ignored you, you followed him.

Hearing you behind him, Jotaro quickened his pace, hoping to emerge on the other side of the alley before you could reach him. You rolled your eyes at his ridiculous reaction and held out your hand.

"Jailhouse Rock!" You cried.

Your stand immediately enveloped Jotaro in a metallic cage, enclosing him behind bars. He stopped short in his tracks before he could hit the wall of the makeshift prison.

"Stop being ridiculous, (Y/N), and let me go," he said, not bothering to turn around and face you.

"Not until you tell me why you've been ignoring me ever since we kissed!"

He seemed to twitch slightly at the mention of the kiss. It hurt your heart to see him react that way.

"Because it was a mis-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence."

A silence fell over the both of you. His back remained turned towards you, blocking your view of his face. This also blocked his view of yours. And perhaps that was best, since you had begun to tear up.

"Just let me go," Jotaro insisted.

"No," you responded, though your voice was weak and shaky. It was now evident to him that you were crying.

"I don't want to hurt you," he said simply in reference to the fact that he would be willing to use Star Platinum to break out of the cage.

"You already have," you replied, your emotional pain coming to fruition.

You retreated your stand and the metal cage disappeared. Jotaro made no move to leave, however, and stayed put in the same spot. He stood there and listened as you did your best to mute your subtle sobs. It was a sound he hated. It was the sound he hated the most out of anything in the entire world.

He turned around quickly and walked over to you in a rush. You were caught off guard when he enveloped you in a hug. Enveloped in his embrace, you cried into his chest, your tears darkening the fabric of his shirt. He simply let you release all of these emotions. After all, he had been the cause of them.

"Why do you insist on pushing everyone away?" You asked him, your voice a quiet whisper in between your cries.

"Because everyone that I get close to gets hurt," he responded.

You backed away from him to look him in the eye. His oceanic eyes glistened as they stared back at you. You noticed the soft tears beginning to form in the corners of his eyes, a sharp contrast from his stoic facade.

With a blink of his eyes, the tears began to flow. He didn't sob like you, simply cried in a silent manner. The only real evidence of his sadness was the physical tears that travelled slowly down his cheeks. But that was more than enough evidence for you.

"Look at me," you told him. He had turned his head away from you to hide the tears, though you had still seen them all the same. When he made no move to look at you, you took his face in your hands and moved it for him.

"Look at me!" You insisted.

His eyes widened in surprise. Your typical quiet demeanor seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye. Were it not for the tears still on your face, he would have thought you were completely composed.

"I'm safe. I'm here. I'm real," you told him.

"But that doesn't mean you'll always be."

"It just means that we need to make the most out of the time we have, no matter how short or long that may be."

Your own voice wavered as you spoke to him, your words making you more emotional than you had been. Jotaro was still quiet, but his tears were a dead give away of his true emotions.

"If I did die tomorrow," you began, but stopped when you heard Jotaro's breath hitch in his throat. You had placed your hand on his chest during the exchange and you could now feel his heartbeat speed up with anxiety.

You took a deep breath before speaking again. "If I did die tomorrow... would you really want this to be the last interaction we ever had?"

Before you knew it, his lips were on yours. This kiss was passionate and rough, but tender and loving. You welcomed it wholeheartedly. You kissed him back with an equal amount of force, hugging him tighter as he deepened the kiss. His tongue entered your mouth and tangled with yours, something that hadn't happened last time. You sighed in satisfaction, the tears on your cheeks finally drying up and becoming forgotten. You both separated, gasping for air.

"That," Jotaro said in response to your earlier question, "That is what I would want it to be."

He immediately pulled you in for another kiss. Still dazed by the events of the day, the only thing you could do was accept it happily.

Jotaro Kujo, the Jotaro Kujo, does, indeed, have a soft side. It just so happens that only one person is allowed to see it.

And that person is you.

Oops, all Jotaro.
