It was a long day for the pups saving people rescuing animals having to deal with the same stuck-up mayor all in one week so it's safe to say that they were for the better term exhausted
The town decided to give them a break so they let them take a week off so they can have some fun during this time two of the pups decide to go to the beach together
"Hey tracker you want to go to the beach with me"
"Are you sure Chase it's pretty dark"
"I know but it's really pretty at this time of the night trust me"
Reluctantly tracker decided to go and Chase was right it was beautiful the stars at night twinkle like crystals in the night sky.
Suddenly the two pups saw that there was a swarm of something black in the sky worried they decided to start heading back to the lookout and that's when they were viciously attacked
"Tracker keep running I hold them off"
Tracker was about to keep going but then he noticed one of the backs was getting too close for comfort right behind Chase
"Por favor Chase watch out"
Tracker jumps in front of Chase saving him but getting hurt in the process because what he doesn't know that bat was a vampire bat trying to get Chase but ended up missing cuz of tracker is Noble sacrifice
"Tracker wake up we got to get out of here"
"Amigo jump on my back please"
Chase got on tracker's back and realized how strong track I got and much faster they were out of there split second
"Tracker you've gotten faster did something happened"
"It must have been my adrenaline pumping"
"That makes sense after all you did just save me let's go to bed you can sleep in my pup-house if you want"
"Yeah sure thanks mi amigo"
Chase was fine by this whole thing at first but then over time he started noticing trackers behavior was different. Tracker started to not like going outside he stopped playing with the other pups and became much more distant and he would always complain about being hungry but he would never eat his pup food
"Hey tracker are you okay you been acting weird for the past few days"
"Yeah I guess the incident at the beach really has changed me in fact my neck hurts"
"Maybe we should go see Katie"
"It's okay I'm sure the pain will just go away after a little bit I'll put some Neosporin on it just to make sure there's no reason for you to worry about me chase I'm doing just fine after all I'm all ears dodo eidos"
*he keeps saying that but if I'm being honest it seems like the only one he trusts most is me he's not even talking to Carlos anymore*
Chase trusted his friend after that until one day when the two were left home alone together during the middle of the night Ryder had visited some family that was pretty far and the other pups decided to go with him leaving those two Home alone Chase noticed trackers behavior has gone even worse
"Tracker we need to talk you've been acting weird all week it's been around 3 weeks and your behavior is gone even worse you stopped going outside your eyes glow red whenever you get hungry if there's something wrong you can always tell me I'm your friend right"
"Chase you are my friend and I told you I'm doing just fine"
tracker walks inside the bathroom and flashes some water on his face and that's when he sees what Chase is talking about his eyes glowed red for a split second only to go back to his original color but that only made hunger grow worse he knew what was wrong with him but he didn't want to scare anybody he had to get to his pop house before it was too late unfortunately for him it was already too late
"Hey Chase do we got any tomato juice"
*Chase oh no is he outside well at least now I won't have to hurt him I can't let him know my secret he may be disgusted by me*
He went over to the fridge and noticed that there was no tomato juice angry he decided he should try and leave but the moment he did he heard Chase walking back inside the lookout and it's only gotten worse
"Tracker are you okay"
"Huh... Oh oh yeah... I'm fine... now that you're here~"
"Tracker are you okay you're starting to scare me"
tracker had a smirk on his face his hunger had consumed him and he couldn't control his urges anymore his eyes turned blood red but rather than attack Chase immediately decided to keep toying with his emotions he can tell just by listening to Chase's heartbeat that he was scared and he likes that he liked toying with his prey
"Oh what's wrong Chase scared of your own friend~"
*What's going into him he's never acted like this before did something happen while I was gone*
"We are friends aren't we Chase~"
"Tracker I think something happened to you when we were on the beach I think those bats must have done something to-"
Chase was cut off my tracker pinning him to the wall more viciously his teeth were razor sharp but he wasn't angry just a little annoyed
"YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION ARE WE FRIENDS"
"Yes of course we're friends what's gotten into you"
Chase then noticed tracker sharp teeth and connected the dots
*sharp teeth blood red eyes last time we were at the beach it was a full moon and a swarm of bats that attacked tracker no don't tell me*
before he can finish his thought he pushed tracker off of him and ran away to his pup house tracker slowly following behind him cooing and moaning the whole time
"Oh Chase~you shouldn't run away from your friend I just want to help you~did I do something wrong~"
Chase ran all the way back to the beach where they first noticed the swarm of bats tracker caught up to him very quickly and that's where a Chase confronted him
"Tracker I know you're in there those bats we saw last night they were vampire bats one of them was behind me weren't they they were trying to bite me but you saved me please come back to me"
*Chase... Chase I can hear you*
"You just now realized it I'm guessing you finally figured out what I am~"
"I have you're a vampire aren't you and you're attacking me cuz you're hungry"
"Ding ding ding give the little pup a prize~"
Chase kept running all the way back to the lookout while Tracker was planning on what to do with him
*He's quite intelligent he's fast and very agile I think I'll add him to my pack after all I need a pack if I'm going to be the leader here first Chase my crush*
*What am I going to do, what am I going to do, what am I going to do. Trackers a vampire everyone won't be back home for another few weeks and I'm left alone we're all out of tomato juice so I can't give them that the only thing that I can think about is my blood I've read about vampires they can drink out of the paw of a pup but if they bite you on the neck then they can turn you using their venom... that's it*
"Oh Chase~ I'm home, why don't you stop running and let me drink from you you know that there's nowhere else to go this way we can be together forever like I've always wanted"
"Tracker I know how to stop your pain all you need to do is drink from my paw that way I won't turn and you can still have enough blood to get your census back in order"
Tracker scoffed at the idea and pined the wall
"Now why would I do that when I want you to be a part of my group you can finally be together after all I've always liked you and now that I'm a vampire I can have you join me I promise it won't hurt too much"
"I know that's how you feel but my friend tracker would never do this to me please come back to me you're not a yandere vampire you're my best friend just drink out of my paw and I know you'll come back"
as much as tracker wanted to turn Chase into a vampire to let him be with him his morality started to kick in and he remembered everything that he and Chase had gone through reluctantly he drank through the open wound on Chase's paw and slowly started to transform back into his regular puppy self again but this came with the price
"Thanks Chase honestly I don't know what I was thinking I should have told you sooner I'm so-"
Because of the blood loss Chase fainted and tracker was extremely scared and sorry
"Chase... Chase please wake up... oh no I took too much.... I'm sorry"
"It's okay tracker.... I'm just glad... you're back"
*His heartbeats still there just very slowly and he still has a little bit of warmth left I'm so sorry Chase I promise I'll keep you safe and I'll find a way to turn back I'll try my best not to drink out of you too much at least*
Tracker fell asleep right next to his lover worried happy and scared for his friend's life
"*I'm so sorry*"
