Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans: The Ultimate Team Up

Chapter Seven: Being Freed From Maximum Security
Nora Dershlit POV

My eyes slowly fluttered open, as small rays of sunshine danced into my cell through my tiny, barred window.

"Ughh, go away sunshine!" I groaned, "Can't you see that I'm going to be in a bad mood for as long as I have to stay here and you can't cheer me up?"

I then slowly rolled off of my small, uncomfortable, ripped-up, stained bed and onto the cold, hard, concrete floor. I then walked over to the window, grabbed onto the black, metal bars with my hands and stared out it. Since my window was so small, the view that I could get out of it was small as well. Sometimes I wish that The Los Angeles Maximum Security was placed in the urban parts of Los Angeles, so I could entertain myself by watching the people and animals going by. But instead, it is located in an area where it is hidden from the rest of Los Angeles. In my cell, I had nothing better to do than to look out of my tiny window and stare into a field filled with nothing but dead grass. Not many animals would come past The Lost Angeles Maximum Security because they would be often be scared away from prisoners who were on their one-hour labor shift. You see, here in maximum security, we are only allowed out of our cells for one hour each day, but we do not have the freedom to do whatever we would like. The guards would make us do some sort of labor.

On my first day of being in maximum security, they gave me a schedule. Everybody in the prison has a totally different schedule. On Mondays, I have to wash police cars outside at 10:00 in the night until 11:00. On Tuesdays, I have to sweep the prison floors at 5:00 in the evening until 6:00 at night. On Wednesdays, I have to lift heavy weights outside at 3:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the morning. On Thursdays, I have to work in this factory room and build all sorts of random things at 11:00 at night until 12:00 in the morning. On Fridays, I have to clean the prison walls at 2:00 in the afternoon until 3:00. On Saturdays, I have to run laps around the building at 4:00 in the evening until 5:00. Also, on Sundays, I have to cook meals in the cafeteria at 4:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the morning. However, the police, guards, and cooks get to eat in the cafeteria. Since we are only allowed out of our cells for an hour per day, the guards will slip food trays through this rectangular-shaped hole in the doors that only they and the police can open and close. Also, if the conditions are way too harsh to do any outdoor activities, the police and the guards will make the prisoners who were supposed to do outdoor activities help out those who were supposed to do indoor activities. But that is very rare because the harshest weather conditions are never that harsh here in Los Angeles. However, if it is raining they will still make prisoners do outdoor activities, as long as it is not a thunderstorm.

Sometimes I wish that Sam would of never asked the cops to check my, Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve's pockets so we would of been able to break out of the police cars and escape, and so I would of never ended up in this lonely stink hole. I was never a sociable person, but I hate the feeling of loneliness. Now that I am maximum security, I only get to see human faces for a hour a day. I also sometimes wish that I would of never decided to kidnap Cat, Frankie, and Taylor because that is the main reason why I'm even in this horrible place. Why didn't I just stay hidden? What went into me? Oh yeah, I wanted to get revenge on Sam. How the heck did she in her lame friends even find my abandoned house anyway? Sometimes I also wish that Sam and her friends would of never found Linda, Mack, Steve, Paul, and I and would of never freed their friends because we still could have been getting away with kidnapping them if it wasn't for them. But, as soon as I get out of here, I am going to track down all of them and get my revenge for what they did to Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve, and I!

Then all of the sudden, I saw a California Quail, California's sate bird, fly by my window. Like I said, animals rarely come by The Los Angeles Maximum Security, so this was a rare sight. The bird then perched itself on the brown-brick ledge of my tiny, barred window and began to ruffle its grayish-brown feathers. It then began to chirp at me.

"What!?!?" I exclaimed, a bit annoyed with the quail's chirping, "Are you mocking me just because you are a free bird and I am not?"

Frightened my loud voice, the quail jumped off of the ledge of my window and flew away. Feeling depressed and miserable, I walked back over to my uncomfortable bed and plopped myself down on it.

"Dershlit!" One of the male guards yelled through my cell door several hours later, "It's that time of the day again!"

I groaned, as I sat up on my bed and looked out of the window. It was now dark outside. If my calculations are correct, then it is now around 10:00 P.M. on a Monday. But for some reason, it did not quite feel like 10:00 yet. Even though I don't have a calendar, I still can tell that it is a Monday because yesterday I had to cook meals in the cafeteria. However, I do not know the exact date. Is it still 2014? It seems like I've been in here for months!

"Hurry up, Dershlit!" The guard cried, "We're burning moonlight!"

"Alright, I'm coming, I'm coming," I sighed, as I hopped out of bed and walked towards the grayish-brown door.

I heard the guard's keys jingle, as he used them to unlock the door. He then pulled my cell door open. Standing right in front of me was a guard with dark-brown hair, brown eyes, and a tan uniform.

"Come with me," he stated, as he motioned for me to follow him. Feeling ashamed of even being in here, I lowered my head as I walked.

I immediately followed the guards orders and followed him down the long, dark, depressing halls of The Los Angeles Maximum Security. You see, in The Los Angeles Maximum Security, they do not put handcuffs on the handcuffs, while they are letting them out of their cells because we do not have a chance of escaping since there is a tall electric fence that surrounds the perimeter. Plus, in order to exit the building, one of the policemen or guards has to swipe their ID cards through the locks on the doors. Honestly, I think this is a terrible idea because the prisoners could just tackle the guards, take their identity cards, sipe the cards through the locks on the doors, turn off the electric fence, climb over it, and escape. However, I guess that they are not afraid of us doing that since their security system is so strong.

For some reason, the walk to the other cells of the prisoners who also had the same Monday ship as I seemed longer than usual. I then picked my head up to see that the guard and I were now approaching the back doors.

"Hey, aren't we going to pick up the other prisoners first?" I asked.

"No, we aren't," the guard simply answered, "Today, I have a very special job for you."

"Oh, ok then," I replied, feeling confused.

As son as we had reached the double, dark-green back doors, the guard tried to push them open. I watched as the guard used all of his strength to push open the door. The door was still locked, so he could not get it to open. I was amazed by how idiotic the guard was being.

"Why won't this door open!?!?" The guard groaned, as he continued to push the doors.

"Umm, your ID, sir...," I stated, as I motioned towards the key slot that unlocked the doors.

"Oh, that's right!" The guard said out of realization, as he stopped pushing the door and began to search through the pockets of his pants for his ID card.

I honestly have no idea why the guard was searching for it in his pockets when his ID card was clearly hanging from the side of his black, leather utility belt. This guard was acting very strange and it was making me feel very suspicious.

"Umm, your utility belt, sir," I pointed out, as I motioned towards his ID card.

The guard then looked down at his utility belt to see that his ID card was there. He unattached his ID from his utility belt and swiped it through the key slot. A green light on the slot then started to blink. The guard tried to push the door open one last time and it opened. He held it open for me and we both exited the building and went outside.

"Alright, now what do you want me to do?" I asked, as I looked around the perimeter.

"Stay here," the guard told me, "My friends are coming with the prisoners that they have selected to do the special job with you."

"Oh, ok."

About ten minutes later, I saw two male and two female guards approach us, along with my fellow psycho friends, Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve. Like me, Linda, Paul, Mack, Paul and Steve were all wearing orange prisoner uniforms.

"Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve!?!?" I asked, confused, "What the heck are you four doing here!?!? I haven't seen you guys in months!"

"I know right!" Linda agreed, "Those policemen were smart to give us totally different schedules. They must of knew that we would want to get together and create a plan to break out of this dump!"

"Umm, I wouldn't say that right in front of the guards," Paul stated, as he motioned towards the five guards.

"It's ok!" One of the female guards, who was extremely tall and had brown hair and blue eyes, told us, "We don't care if you guys talk about that kind of stuff! With this here fence, there is no way that you can escape!"

"Yeah, escape without our help...," I heard one of the male guards who was very muscular and had blonde hair and blue eyes, mutter under his breath.

"WAIT, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?!?" I exclaim, very surprised by what I heard.

"NOTHING!!!" The guard lied, as he stood straight up.

"But anyways, we have no idea why we're here," Mack stated, "Do you?"

"No, I don't," I answered, as I shook my head, "One of this guards just took me out of my cell, made me follow him out of here, and told me that he had a 'special' job for me."

"That's exactly what happened to us," Steve told me.

"So, what's our 'special' job?" Linda asked the guards, putting air quotes around the word "special".

The other female guard, who had brown hair and brown eyes, leaned in towards the other guards.

"Is the coast clear?" I heard her whisper.

All of the guards then looked both ways, scanning the perimeter for anybody who might be watching us.

"I think that it's pretty clear," one of the male guards, who had black hair and dark-brown eyes, whispered back to the female guard with brown hair and brown eyes.

"Alright, come with us," the guard that took me out of my cell instructed us, as he motioned towards Linda, Mack, Steve, Paul and I to follow him and the other guards, "We will show you what to do."

The five guards started to walk towards the huge electric fence. Linda, Marty, Paul, Steve, and I all looked at each other and shrugged. We then obeyed the guards orders and followed them towards the fence. The female guard with brown hair and blue eyes began to search her pockets of her tan pants for something. She then pulled a set of keys out of them. She searched through all of her numerous, dangling keys until she had found a small, golden one. She put the golden key in between her right index finger and right thumb and reached for the silver door knob that was attached to the metal back door of the electric fence.

"Umm, isn't the power on the electric fence still on?" Steve asked, causing the guard to stop in her tracks.

"Yeah, they only turn it off 8:00 through 9:00 at night and 8:00 through 9:00 in the morning, the only two times of the day where none of the prisoners don't have any shifts, so they can let the police officers and guards who are just starting their shifts for the day in," Paul stated.

"Really- Er, I mean what time is it now?" The guard corrected herself.

"What the heck is going on here!?!?" I exclaimed, "At first, you said that you had a 'special' job for me, then you didn't know that you had to slide your ID card through the dang lock, then you told me that your friends were bringing other prisoners to help me do the 'special' job and they ended up being my friends, Linda, Paul, Steve, and Mack, then you didn't even seem to know that that fence was electric, and now you don't even know what time it is!?!? I don't know what time it is, but you guys are security guards for pete's sake!!! You should at least have an idea of what time it is!!! you five even real g-"

"You have the right to remain silent!" The guard that had brought me out here cut me off.

"But-"

"SILENT!!!"

I gulped. "Yes, sir!"

"Alright, good. Volcano, check and see what time it is."

The male guard with blonde hair and blue eyes, whom I am assuming is Volcano, nodded in agreement.

"Volcano?" I thought to myself, "That's a weird name for a security guard. In fact, it sounds like a weird name for anybody!"

Volcano then began to dig around in the pockets of his pants. He then pulled out a black Pear Phone. He pressed the silver power button that was on top of the phone, which caused its screen to light up.

"Oh, thank goodness!" Volcano sighed out of relief, "It's 8:43! We have exactly seventeen minutes before they turn the electric fence back on!"

"Wait, my shift starts at 10:00!" I cried.

"And mine starts at 11:00!" Linda chimed in.

"And mine's supposed to start at midnight!" Paul exclaimed.

"Mine's supposed to start at 9:00!" Steve told the guards.

"And mine starts at 1:00 in the morning!" Mack added, "No wonder I felt so off when you took me out of my cell!"

"Why are we even out here if our shifts don't even start yet?" Steve asked.

"Like we said, we have a special job for you," the female guard with brown hair and brown eyes replied.

"So, if we do this 'special' job, will we have to do our regular shifts today?" Linda asked.

"Nope!" The other female guard answered.

"Oh ok, good."

"Alright, guys, we're going to have to get this job done quick, so we can get you back into your cells before they turn the electric fence back on," the male guard with black hair and dark-brown eyes told us.

"Ok," Steve, Paul, Mack, Linda, and I replied.

The female guard who was holding the keys then proceeded to stick the golden key inside of the key hole on the door knob. She turned it, then pulled it back out, once the door was unlocked. She used her hand to grip the door knob, twist it, and to push the door open. She held it open for the four other guards and Mack, Linda, Paul, Steve, and I. Once we were no longer on The Los Angeles Maximum Security premises, the guard quickly slammed the fence door shut.

I looked back at my fellow psycho friends.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I whispered to them.

Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve all nodded.

Just as we were about to run off, the guard who had took me out of my cell said, "Now, before you run off, since we helped free you, we would like for you to help free some of our friends."

"How did you guys know that we were about to run away?" Paul asked.

Linda, Mack, Steve, and I all gave Paul a stern look. He just shrugged.

"Because if we were prisoners, we would try and run away from jail too," Volcano explained, "Right, GSVL?"

"GSVL!?!?" Mack repeated, "What the heck is that!?!?"

"It's the name of our group," the guard with black hair and dark-brown eyes answered.

"So, I'm guessing that you guys aren't guards," Steve stated.

"If we were actual guards, do you think that we would of freed you guys?" The female guard with brown hair and brown eyes asked us, "When are you guys actually supposed to get out of maximum security anyways?"

"In ten years from now," I answered.

"See what I mean!?!?"

"So, if you guys aren't real guards, then how did you get those uniforms?" Linda asked, as she pointed towards the tan uniforms that the five fake guards were wearing.

"We'll explain that later," the lady with brown eyes and blue eyes told us.

"Ok. So, what made you want to free us?" I asked.

All five of the fake guards began to look around, then back at us.

"Follow us and we will explain as much as we can," the man who took me out of my cell finally said.

"Ok," Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve and I all agreed.

The five fake guards then walked us over to the parking lot of The Los Angeles Maximum Security where all of the police cars were parked. They crouched behind one of the trunks of the black and white police cars that were parked in one of the rows that were in the middle of the parking lot. Linda, Paul, Mack, Steve, and I did the same.

"Ok, so here's what going on," the guard who brought me outside began, "You guys might not believe us, but we are actually just a bunch of ghost super villains who are a part of a league called, the Ghost Super Villain League, and who are possessing a bunch of security guards. You see, our fellow ghost super villains got trapped in a cage that ghosts cannot open and since you are all enemies with the people who trapped them, we were hoping that if we were to free you from maximum security, you would return the favor by freeing our friends. And then after that, you could help us get revenge on Phoebe Thunderman, Max Thunderman, Carly Shay, and their stupid friends."

"Yeah right!" Linda laughed, "Now, tell us the real story!"

"Linda, I don't think that these people kidding!" I exclaimed, "They know Phoebe and Max Thunderman! Those were some of the people who called the cops on us, causing us to get arrested and to get sent to maximum security!"

Linda laughed again. "Yeah, but what's the odds of Phoebe and Max knowing Carly Shay from iCarly?"

"Linda, may I remind you that Phoebe and Max were friends with Sam Puckett, who is also on iCarly and is best friends with Carly Shay."

"That's true, but how do you know that they're actually ghost super villains?"

All of the fake guards laughed.

"Weapon, show 'em whatcha got," the man who had freed me ordered, as he nudged the tall woman with brown eyes and blue eyes, whom I am assuming is Weapon.

"Weapon?" I thought to myself, "Why does everybody in GSVL have such odd names?"

Weapon nodded her head in agreement, then snapped her fingers. Then all of the sudden, a large black van appeared out of thin air. My, Linda, Mack, Paul, and Steve's mouths all hit the ground. We were speechless. Weapon snapped her fingers once more, causing a set of car keys to appear in her hands. She quickly pressed a button on one of the keys, unlocking the van. Weapon stood up and faced The Los Angeles Security. She then raised her two index fingers into the air and purple lightning bolts came out of them. The lightning blots quickly formed a circle around the building, then zapped all of the hidden security cameras that were outside of the building, electrocuting them. After that, the purple lightning bolts disappeared. This made Linda, Paul, Steve, Mack, and I even more speechless. The five ghost super villains then stood up walked over to the huge, black van and pulled open all of its doors.

"Are you guys coming, or are you just going to crouch down there like a bunch of idiots!?!?" The man with black hair and dark-brown hair asked us.

Still not being able to speak, we just stood up and walked over to the van.

For some odd reason, the ghost super villains began to look around the parking lot like they did not know where they were.

"H-how d-did I-I g-get h-here!?!?" Volcano stammered in a totally different voice.

"QUICK, GET INSIDE OF THE VAN!!!" We heard the ghost super villain who freed me yell from inside of the van.

"What's going on!?!" Steve asked, confused, "How did you guys get in there without actually getting in there!"

"WE GOT IN HERE!!!" The other female ghost super villain shouted, "WE'RE NO LONGER POSSESSING THE GUARDS, SO YOU CAN'T SEE US!!!"

"Then how the heck can we hear you!?!?" Mark questioned.

"THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE PROJECTING OUR VOICES, SO YOU CAN HEAR US!!!" Volcano hollered, "NOW, GET IN!!!"

Without any hesitation, Paul, Mack, Steve, Linda and I quickly climbed inside of the van. One of the ghost supper villains used their powers to shut all of the van doors.

"SIT DOWN AND BUCKLE YOUR SEAT BELTS BECAUSE ITS GONNA BE A BUMPY RIDE!!!" Weapon projected her voice, "JUST DON'T SIT IN ANY OF THE FIRST OR SECOND ROWS BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE WE'RE SITTING!!!"

Paul, Mack, Steve, Linda and I then sat down on the black, leather car seats in the third and fourth rows in the van and buckled our seat belts. Whichever ghost super villain that was sitting in the driver's seat then drove us out of the parking lot and into the street. From there, they just basically floored the gas pedal for the whole entire ride.

About five minutes later, the van finally came to a halt when we arrived in front of this huge, old, wooden, abandoned-looking house. Whoever had been driving the van never went below ninety miles per hour while driving. Somehow, the police did not catch us speeding, so we did not have to shake any cops off of our tail. One of the ghost super villains then used their powers to open all of the van doors.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"WE ARE AT MY AND VOLCANO'S ABANDONED HOUSE!!!" The other female super villain projected her voice, "MEET US IN NEXT TO THE HUGE, OLD MIRROR IN OUR LIVING ROOM!!!"

"THE LIVING ROOM WILL BE THE FIRST ROOM TO YOUR LEFT!!!" Volcano added.

"Ok," Linda, Mack, Paul, Steve, and I all agreed, as we climbed out of the van.

As soon as we were all out of the van and outside, we shut the car doors and walked up the concrete pathway that led to the house. The old, dark-brown door creaked, as we carefully pushed it open. We were now inside of a long, narrow, old-fashioned hallway. To the left of us, was a huge room that was filled with old-fashioned and torn-up furniture. At the very back of the room, was a huge, white, oval, old-fashioned mirror. Mack, Steve, Paul, Linda, and I then walked up to the mirror.

"Ok, now what?" Mack asked.

Then all of the sudden, we saw five metal buckets that were filled with a weird-looking, sky-blue liquid floating towards us.

"What the heck are those for!?!?" I asked, feeling very confused and grossed out by the blue substance at the same time.

Then all of the sudden, the buckets came towards us at full speed, flipped themselves upside down pouring the blue substance all over us. The substance felt cold and slimy, as it ran down my body, soaking orange my uniform.

"What the heck was that for!?!?" Linda exclaimed, seeming furious.

"THIS LIQUID IS YOUR ONLY TICKET THROUGH THAT PORTAL!!!" The ghost super villain who had freed me projected his voice, "NOW, JUMP THROUGH THE MIRROR!!!"

"Jump through the mirror?" Paul asked.

"HEY, ARE YOU GUYS HELPING US OR NOT!?!?" The other male ghost projected his voice.

"O-of course!" Steve replied, "You guys freed us from maximum security! we hated it there!"

"Yeah!" Mack, Paul, Linda, and I all agreed.

"THEN, FOLLOW STRIKE'S ORDERS AND JUMP THROUGH THE MIRROR!!!" Weapon shouted at us.

Steve, Mack, Paul, Linda, and I all looked at each other and shrugged. We then followed the five ghost super villains' orders and jumped through the mirror one by one. I honestly have no idea what's in that sky-blue liquid, but whatever it is, it gave us the ability to go through the old-fashioned mirror, sucking us into another dimension. I had a feeling that this was going to be a very uncomfortable experience.
