After their short and vague morning tour of Paris, Seema invited Shivaay and Chutki back into the house. Her parents, Rajendra and Vibha, were ready to greet them
Rajendra: toh yeh hai the great Shivaay Singh Oberoi
Vibha: Khannah aur Seema tum teeno ke baare mein bohot bolti
Shivaay: Thank you Aunty, hume yaha rehne ke liye
Rajendra: kohi thank you nahi, bas andhar aao
Since Khannah had already kept their luggage inside, they could straight away go and eat their meal.
Shivaay: aapka ghar bohot sundar hai, aur yeh breakfast bhi kohi kam nahi
Vibha: thank you beta
Seema: Jiju aap mujhe Chutki dedo, aur araam se khalo
She took the child and began feeding her the food as well.
Shivaay: Chutki introduce yourself
Chutki: myself Chanda Singh Oberoi, nice to meet you, aapka naam?
With a sweet smile on her face, she waved as she told her name
Seema: Chutki yeh dono mere aur Khannah Mamu ke parents hai, tere Nana Ji aur Nani Ji jese lagte
Shivaay noticed that Khannah was being very quiet, and seemed awfully distracted
Shivaay: Khannah tum bhi kuch bolo
Khannah: I'm okay
Vibha: Shivaay beta tune Anika ke saath baat kiya kya?
He shook his head, replying no.
Shivaay: I couldn't get through. Khannah, did you get any luck?
The poor man was in a real dilemma. Once he got to know that Anika miscarried, Khannah had no idea what to do. Was he to agree with her and not tell Shivaay? Or should he do what he thinks is right and tell him?
Shivaay: Did you speak?
Khannah: Haan
He blurted out, unsure of what to say.
Shivaay: is she okay? Why isn't she answering my calls?
Was there a right thing to do here? Khannah couldn't really tell, if the whole situation was back and white.
Khannah: usne message kiya, voh bohot busy hai
Though not totally convinced, Shivaay decided to go with it for the time being.
Khannah: mujhe kuch kaam hai, mein abhi aata
Suddenly excusing himself, Khannah knew he had to speak to Anika. Maybe there was a way he could figure something out. Knowing that Shivaay would follow him to his room, Khannah took a car and went out to a nearby café. Taking out his phone, he dialled Om's number
Om: Hello, Khannah?
Khannah: Ji Sir
Om: kese chal raha?
Khannah: Shivaay Sir thora unsettled lagra hai, kyuki unhone Anika Di se baat nahi ki
Om: mujhe nahi lagta ki voh baat karegi
Om was making a late breakfast for Anika, as she had slept quite late in the night.
Khannah: mujhe nahi lagta ki mein yeh secret rakh sakta
Om: Khannah mujhe bhi Shivaay ko batana hai, lekin I also think it would be better if he got to know from her
Khannah: kuch hai joh mein kar sakta?
Om: try to arrange the meeting soon, aur vaapis jaldi aana
He took a moment to think about the upcoming plans before replying to him
Khannah: doh meetings hai. Pehla wala I'll see if I can move it for tomorrow
Om: okay, thanks Khannah
Khannah: Di ka dhyaan rakhlo please
Om: definitely
Khannah put the call down and phones another person. This time it was a colleague, and he was seeing if the meeting could be preponed. Luckily there was an opening in their clients timetable, and after confirming the time, Khannah went back home any suspicions could be made.
Back in India, Gauri came to take the plate from Om as he kept the call down.
Om: make sure that she takes her medicines as well
Gauri: ji
She left with the plate, when a maid came up to him. She was there to inform him that their Dadi had arrived.
Om: Dadi aap itni jaldi aagayi?
He greeted his grandmother and welcomed her inside.
Dadi: Rudra ne ticket bejha aur mein foren aayi, baat kya hai?
Om: aap pehle apna bag di jiye
Taking the suitcase from her, Om walked her to the room
Dadi: aab batao, kya hua?
Om: Dadi baat Anika Bhaabi ke baare mein hai
Dadi: Billu aur Chutki ki bohot yaad aari hai? Pehla trip hai, thora ajeeb hoga beginning mein
Om: nahi Dadi, yeh baat nahi hai
Dadi: toh phir kya hai?
She was oblivious to what happened since Rudra only told her there was something urgent. He'd given her no details or clues as to what the matter was
Om: Dadi Bhaabi had a miscarriage
Dadi: Kya bolra hai tu?
As everyone else was when getting to know, Dadi was shook. Not once did she think that this could be the issue.
Om: voh bathroom mein gir gayi, and uske saath kuch aur minor injuries hai. Jese uska haath toot gaya, aur small cut hai maathe per
He carefully explained each and every thing to make sure she was fully aware
Dadi: Billu kaha hai?
Om: Paris mein
Dadi: yaha kyu nahi?
Om: Voh Dadi...
Raising her eyebrows, she indicated for him to carry on
Om: Shivaay ko nahi bataya
Dadi: Kyu?
Om: Bhaabi nahi chaati
Dadi: kaha hai voh?
Seeing that she was getting ready to see Anika, om held her back and stopped her.
Om: abhi toh voh breakfast khaari hogi, aap fresh ho jao pehle
Dadi: theek hai
In the meantime, Gauri was sat at the edge of the bed trying to convince her sister to have her breakfast.
Gauri: Di mere liye ek bite
There was no reply, just a shuffling sound as Anika buried her face into the pillow more.
Gauri: please Didi
Anika: nahi Gauri, mann bilkul nahi hai
Dadi: kyu nahi hai?
It was only then did Anika raise her head of the pillow, to see who was there. Though she wanted to greet Dadi and take her blessings, there was no energy in her body to so much move another limb.
Dadi: Anika puttar, kuch toh khalo
She could hear Dadi's footsteps, meaning she was coming closer to her. Gauri handed over the plate to Dadi as she assisted Anika in sitting up
Anika: Dadi mera bacha...
Dadi: pata hai
Though there were no tears, Anika was crying inside.
Dadi: aur yeh bhi jaanti ki agar tu chaati ki apna haath theek ho jao, toh yeh parantha khaana padega I'll
She brought the dish of paranthas closer to Anika and showed her the plate.
Anika: mein nahi khaa sakti
Dadi: puttar, ab joh hua voh hum badal nahi sakte. Sab kuch ek vajhe ke liye hota
Anika: i ran, aur neeche paani thi. Uspe trip hoker...
Dadi: lekin kuch toh khaalo, ek bite bhi nahi?
Gauri managed to feed her one morsel, and soon she finished one whole parantha.
Dadi: shaabash, aab mein doosre ko milke aati
Dadi dismissed herself to visit the others, as Gauri was taking the plate back
Gauri: Di before I go, aap please medicine khaali jiye. Come on, jaldi jaldi
She handed over the strips of medications into Anika's hands
Gauri: isse leker aapka dard bilkul theek ho jayega. Phir dheere dheere haath bhi heal hoga.
Anika looked towards Om with pleading eyes. When Gauri noticed this she was at first a little stunned, but even more alarmed when Om replied
Om: We'll have them later, okay?
As this was quite like what Anika wanted, she nodded at him. Om took Gauri out of the room, and she immediately turned on him
Gauri: yeh kya tha?
Om: kya?
Gauri: she's becoming dependent on you.
Om: I don't understand
Om was indeed confused, what was exactly happening?
Gauri: aapne uske har baat maane, uska bohot madat kiya. Lekin aab unhe lagta ki aap uske side per ho
Om: Gauri she's suffered quite traumatic event
Gauri: I know, do you think I can see Di like this?
She cared a lot. Taking note of how much she ate, or if she came outsides to the garden (which she didn't).
But on the other hand, Gauri was able to recognise that her sister was bottling her feelings up inside of her.
Gauri: kya karte jab Jiju ka phone aata? Aur jab Chutki apni Mumma se baat karni chaati? Voh hum sab se theek se nahi baat karti, aapko lagta ki Shivaay Jiju ko phone pe bolungi?
She had a point, a very good one to be frank. Anika wasn't going to tell him on call. She'd probably avoid any conversation with them, and that would be sure to raise suspicion. There has to be a way in which Anika can come out of this phase soon, someone to help with that.
Om: can you go get Bhaabi's new medicines, hospital se?
Gauri: haan, driver ko bulao
Om called the driver and instructed him to take Gauri. He soon got a phone call, which he was quick to attend
Om: kya hua?
He asked after the call ended
Driver: Pinky Ma'am ne call kiya, voh airport per hai
Gauri; Choti Maa?
Om: tune bataya?
He asked Gauri, confused on her sudden arrival.
Gauri: nahi, meine kuch nahi bola
Getting back to the driver, Om gave a new set of instructions.
Om: acha ek kaam karo, tum jaake unhe leker aao, Gauri ke saath. Raaste pe divaye leker aao
The driver obediently nodded and Gauri followed him. After collecting the medicines, They soon reached the airport.
Pinky: Gauri? Mein toh tum sab ko surprise dene wali thi
Gauri: sorry Choti Maa
After Gauri gave her a hug, the driver opened the car door for her and also took her luggage. They had just started the journey back home and Pinky was sure something wasn't right. The otherwise chirpy daughter-in-law of hers wasn't anything like her usual self.
Pinky: Gauri, kya hua? Tu itni chup kabhi nahi rehti
Gauri: meri chod, aap batao. What brings you here?
Pinky: Doosre bhi aare hoge, lekin meine jaldi aane ka plan banaya. Socha ki Anika akeli hai, kyu naa uske saath thoda time spend karo. Chutki ke bina kaafi ajeeb lagra hoga
Gauri: Choti Maa, baat Anika Di ke baare mein hai
Pinky: Kya hua meri bachi ko?
She kept her hand on Gauri's, waiting for her to give a reply
Gauri: kal Shivaay Jiju ke jaane se pehle, Khannah Ji ne Anika Di ko pregnancy kit diya. Kyu ki voh thori dizzy aur tired thi, upar se nausea aur morning sickness. Jiju ke jaane ke baad hi Di ne test liya, Positive tha
Pinky: phir yeh toh kushi ki baat hui naa?
Gauri: bathroom floor pe paani tha, aur Di gir gayi. The baby didn't make it
Pinky: Oh My Mata
She couldn't believe it, and it was harder to think how Anika must be feeling.
Gauri: Choti Maa voh kuch nahi khaari hai, bas thora sa fruits ya kuch vese. Aur Jiju ko bhi nahi batari
Pinky: Driver jaldi chalaye
Rushing the driver, Pinky wished to reach their as quickly as possible. She rushed inside the mansion, panicking.
Rudra: Choti Maa? Aap kab aayi?
Pinky: yeh sab chod, batao Anika kaha hai
He looked towards Gauri, who blinked in response. The three of them went towards the room and Gauri handed over the medication to Om, who was waiting there for her.
Om: Bhaabi aapki divaye
Pinky stayed at the door to observe Anika.
Anika: nahi chahiye Om
Keeping her head submerged in the pillow, her voice came out muffled to them.
Om: Bhaabi please, phir sab kuch theek ho jayega
Anika: Om
Om: Bhaabi
His voice became a little more stern, making her finally give in.
Om: aab jaldi se kapre badalo aur neeche aao
If he waited any longer, she would have definitely tried to say no. So he made his way to the door. Closing it behind him, he invited Pinky to the other room, Rudra and Gauri following them
Pinky: sab kuch sahi chalra tha, Phir achanak se yeh?
Rudra: Bhaabi nahi chaati ki Bhaaiya ko abhi pata challe
Gauri: Choti Maa aap hi bataye, kya karna hai
Om: do we tell Shivaay?
The three of them waited for advice from Pinky
Pinky: pehle, Anika ko realise karna hai ki hiding will not bring the baby back
Om: jabse hospital se aaye, Anika Bhaabi sirf apne kamre mein rahe
Pinky: mein uske saat baat karungi
Deciding that, she thoughts to change the subject
Pinky: aab humare naye pote kaha hai? Rudra, tu introductions nahi karega kya?
Rudra: oh haan, aaye Choti Maa
Pinky saw the faces of the two newest members of the Oberoi Mansion, lying on the bed and troubling their already tired mother.
Pinky: bohot pareshaan kiya apne Mumma ko?
She picked up one of the babies
Bhavya: that's Krish, aur yeh elder wala hai Rohan
She indicated the baby on the bed flinging its arms around.
Pinky: kuch hafto mein Shakti Ji aur sab aa jayenge, bache ko dekhne ke liye.
Bhavya: Choti Maa aapki Anika de baat hui?
Pinky: abhi tak nahi, lekin hoga
