Auroras' POV
I'm in complete and utter shock as Holden turns around and looks me in the eye. I panic and think to myself,
"Wait a minute... if Holden likes me, Isabella must be furious at me right now."
As I cautiously look over at her I discover that I'm right. She looked like a volcano ready to explode.
"Maybe we should..er...stop playing this game."
I hear Katie say, while giving her brother Mason a deadly look. By the time all of us were finished with our awkward staring, we were at Hogsmeade station. Johanna motions us to leave as we do Isabella and I go to check on Ivy and James. When we do they look like they already made friends which makes us super happy and relieved that we don't have to worry about them. Once we get off the train I take in the familiar sight of the station and castle. Once we get inside the castle Isabella, Katie, Gracie, Johanna, Caroline, and I go our separate ways to go to our houses. It has always been fascinating to me that my best friend Isabella is a slytherin along with Johanna and Caroline. My other best friend Gracie is a hufflepuff and Katie is a ravenclaw. Once I get to the gryffindor common room I meet up with Hermione Granger and we walk up to the 4th year girls dormitory. Once we get there we change into our robes and walk down to the great hall. I see Isabella, and Sam talking so I walk up to them.
"Hi guys are you settling in nicely?"I ask
"Yes, well atleast I am. What about you Sam?" I ask
"Oh...um...I'm settling in fine." Sam says and Isabella bursts into laughter probably from the hesitation in his voice, as his face turns bright red. So me and Isabella walk away
"It looks like someone has a crush!"Isabella says bursting into laughter.
"Leave him alone. Wait, you think he has a crush on me?" I say trying not to laugh
Isabella's POV
"Yes, did you see the way he looked at you when you started talking to us Aurora? He totally has a thing for you!" I say teasing
"Ok so he likes me so what it's not that big of a deal."She says and I know she is annoyed that I keep teasing her about this. Once we get to the great hall I say
"I will see you later and if Ivys is in Gryffindor and James is in slytherin. Our parents will be pissed." I say half joking. Once I get to the slytherin table I sit next to Caroline, johanna, Dean, and Sam.
"Hi Sam."I say and I just roll my eyes at Dean. Dean and I grew up together and we have always fought like siblings. I treat him as if he's my brother.
"That's not a nice way to greet me!"He says while making his smirk that could make any girl swoon over him. I do the first thing that comes to mind and stick my tongue out at him. Right before we start fighting Caroline interrupts and says
"Izzy your brother is about to be sorted!"So I look over at him and give him a thumbs up and he nods. I think to myself
"Please be slytherin please be slyther-" My thoughts are cut off when i hear what house he is sorted into
"Gryffindor!"I hear that stupid sorting hat say. I feel so embarrassed and as I turn to everyone their mouths are wide open. But it does work in my favor because Aurora will be able to make sure he is alright and we can't worry about that because Ivy is up next. As she steps up to the stool Aurora and I stare at each other praying that she is either in Gryffindor or Slytherin, the reason why we hope this is because at the end of first year all of us made a pact that no matter what house our younger siblings were in if we were in that house we would make sure they are alright and take care of them.
"Another Roxford very interesting...better be Ravenclaw!" Katie Aurora and I all look at eachother and basically say
"Katie makes sure she is alright and makes sure that she settles in and tells her who and not to be friends with also, tell her to make sure to tell her parents that she got into Ravenclaw." as she jumps off the stool and walks towards Katie. We all sigh as we eat our dinner
"Well that was a bust."I hear Dean say to the entire group and I can feel my face turn red with his comment. Johanna can tell that I am getting embarrassed so she changes the subject.
"How was your guys holi-"Johanna says but gets cut off by Dumbldore
"Now that you are all fed I have a few announcements to make.The first one is that Mr.Filch has extended his lists of things off limits this year, you can stop by his office if you would like to see that list. Second it is my painful duty to inform you all that the inter-House Quidditch Cup will not be taking place this year ."Once he said this all of a sudden I heard Sam and Dean start saying in unison
"What?"I can sense the anger in their tones
"This is due to an event that will be starting in October, and continuing throughout the school year, taking up much of the teachers' time and energy. But I am sure you will all enjoy it immensely. I have great pleasure in announcing that this year at hogwarts we will be hosting a very exciting event over the coming months, an event that has not been held for over a century. It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be held at Hogwarts this year. The tournament was first established some seven hundred years ago as a friendly Competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry:Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. A champion was selected to represent each school, and the three champions competed in three magical tasks. The schools took turns to host the tournament every five years, and it was generally agreed to be a most excellent way of establishing ties between young witches and wizards of different nationalities-until, the death toll mounted so high that the tournament was discontinued."He said a bunch of other things until I heard him say
"Only those seventeen or older to be eligible to participate."Sam and Dean Including the girls and I started screaming
"Thats unfair!"But by the time he was done speaking all of us were done talking about our summer holidays, which in August All of us ended up spending together at my house. The boys and us girls ended up getting into a fight the day before we had to leave for school
"This is so stupid we should be allowed to compete."Dean whispers.
"I know when he started talking about it I was eager to-"I get interrupted by Caroline
"Isabella we are going to go meet up with Aurora,Gracie, and Katie if you want to join us."She says and gives me a smirk.
"But it looks like you're busy."Without even realising I was sitting inches from deans face and my arm was right in front of his chest on my face. I quickly move away.
"Yes I am coming."I say immediately as I quickly walk away with Johanna and Caroline. I should probably address this now that Mason Scott is in Hufflepuff with Gracie and Holden is in Gryffindor with Aurora. Once we meet up with Aurora, Katie, and Gracie I immediately realize that Holden is with Aurora and I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or not but I think they were holding hands.
Gracies POV
I saw it as we walked out of the great hall and told Holden and Aurora
"If Izzy sees you guys holding hands she's going to flip out!"I scream out of anger
"I don't care what Isabella thinks she's the least of my priorities!"Holden yells back at me. I can tell that Aurora is getting pissed because she looks at Holden and basically tells him to stop once we get to Caroline, Johanna, and Isabella, it looks like Isabella was having a deep thought but she quickly is knocked out of that thought when her eyes go directly to Holden and Aurora's hands. I think Aurora sees Isabella because she quickly lets go of his hand.
"Where's Sam, Mason, and Dean?" Holden asks
"We didn't think you guys would want to come but you can go get them if you want Holden, we will be in the room of requirement."Isabella says trying to control her anger, so I walk over to her and give her a hug but she nudges me off of her. But I forget about it and start walking to find the room of requirement. Once we are halfway there I can hear running from behind me and by hesitation I turn around to see the boys already caught up with us,
"Guys I found it!"Katie says, so Katie pases back and forth thinking of the hangout spot for us to have this year once she's done the doors slide open. When I mean it tops last year it tops it. There are couches, chairs and fluffy carpets everywhere. There are games galore and not to mention there is a whole bar dedicated to candy from honeydukes, As we all sat down I was very surprised to see Dean and Isabella sitting next to one another. I thought they hated each other like we literally called them brother and sister. But what I am confused about is that Holden and Aurora are sitting together considering Izzy's reaction to the whole thing. But thank god Aurora didn't tell her about her and Holden kissing this summer yet. My thoughts are interrupted by Mason speaking to us.
"I wonder who is going to enter the triwizard tournament?"
"Yeah same! I am assuming that Cedric diggory will."I say
Isabella's POV
As I look over at Gracie I can't help but laugh because this is the first time that she has ever been interested in some sort of wizarding sport. She realizes I am laughing so she sticks her tongue out at me. All of a sudden I feel a shiver down my spine, Dean starts whispering in my ear.
"Hey are you ok?" he says to me with what I think is worry in his voice. I never noticed this whole time I was fuming.
"Yeah I'm fine, It's just I can't believe Aurora would be flirting with the person that I had a crush for who knows how long." He nods and turns his head away in dissapointment.
"What's going on with you? all of a sudden it seems like you care about me." I say he looks at me and I can tell he is trying to think of something to say
"What! That's what you think i'm doing. I was just curious." He says and smirks.
"Ok...I was just wondering." I say and he looks away from me
"Caroline!" I say trying to get her to come over next to me.
"What happened over your summer holiday? Any new gossip?" I say with excitement in my voice.
"It was actually great! Gossip though...Um...Uh...None that I can think of."She says and I start to get confused when she looks at Holden and AUrora who are laughing about something. Then I look back at her, I think to myself did they kiss or something. She can tell what im thinking and she nods, without even knowing what I am doing I am already halfway out of the room when I feel a tug on my arm I secretly hope its Aurora But when I turn around its Dean.
