For those who are curious, the reason why Om hates Gauri, is pretty silly. hehehehe
Gauri was almost in tears, it's been one week since Omkara talked to her properly. He avoided her like the plague since the day they met at the mall and she didn't even know why. Every time she tried talking to him he would either walk away as if he didn't notice her or he would make some excuses and leave. Now they no longer had lunch together because he never showed up for lunch due to "various" reasons which not only Gauri, Ajay and Dandi even Richa started finding weird. Today she was determined to talk to Omkara, come what may, she will find out why he is behaving so strangely. She walked into the canteen with Richa and quickly found Ajay, Dandi and Varun sitting together.
"Where is Omkara?" Gauri asked without any preamble.
"He didn't come to college today." Ajay replied.
"What happened? Is he alrite?" Gauri asks worried.
"Yeah he is fine. He said no one is at home so he was feeling lazy." Ajay replied.
Gauri had a huge suspicion that Omkara hadn't come to college just to avoid her. "Where does he stay?" Gauri asks quickly making up her mind. Ajay gives her Omkara's address as Gauri took down the address Gaur who had been sitting on the table near to theirs and listening quickly got up and hurried out.
Forty five minutes later, Gauri walked into Omkara's house or rather his uncle's house. She notices a car parked there and wondered whose it is. Omkara didn't have a car, could it be his uncle's? Gauri was about to press the bell when she realized the door was unlocked she gently opens the door and walks inside. She softly called out Omkara's name. She hears some muffled sound coming from a room and she walked towards the room. She gently pushed open the door calling out Omkara's name and then stopped in shock as she took in the sight before her. Her Omkara was lying on the foot of the bed. He was not alone, Gaur was lying with him or rather he was lying on top of her. Her eyes stung as she watched her love, trust and belief of so many years lying with another girl and not just any girl but her enemy, in bed.
Sensing someone at the door Omkara looked to her side and seeing her there he pulled himself up quickly "Dumbo..." Omkara gently started but not wanting to hear anything Gauri ran out.
"Dumbo, listen to me!" Omkara shouted as he ran behind her.
Luckily for Gauri a passing by auto stopped for her and she quickly sat in. She saw Omkara coming out running behind her and screaming her to stop but he himself stopped when he heard Gaur call him as she came out behind him. Omkara turned and walked towards Gaur and not able to see anymore Gauri looked ahead as the tears flowed down in gallons.
Gauri didn't know where to go to or what to do; she had got out of the auto and walked aimlessly. Hours later she had found herself in her college cathedral. Gauri sat in one corner and tried to forget what she had seen at Omkara's house but the more she tried to forget it the more it kept coming back to her.
How could Omkara do this to me? She wondered for the millionth time. He was supposed to marry me. He had promised me that, and then what was he doing with Gaur? Suddenly she remembered that Omkara thought Gaur was her. Is that why he was with her? Did he decide to be with Gaur? Is that why he was avoiding her? But he hated her. Was she the reason for Omkara being with Gaur? Gauri didn't know what to think and what to believe. She roughly brushed away her tears as she thought of Omkara. Her cell continued to buzz, she picked it up and saw Omkara's name flash. She cut the call; he had been calling her ever since she left his house. She didn't want to talk to him, she didn't want to talk to anyone, she wanted her bhaiyya. She hugged herself and continued to cry when her cell buzzed again. She was about to cut the call again when she saw the screen flash bhaiyya.
She quickly picked up the call and before she could even say a hello Shivaay started talking from the other end "Gauri? Is everything alright there?"
"Bhaiyya..."
"I don't know Gauri, I am feeling restless, and I've this very bad feeling that something is not right. I couldn't sleep that is why I called you at this time. You are fine right?" Shivaay asked worried.
Hearing Shivaay, Gauri starts wailing "I don't want to stay here. I want to come back home."
"What happened, Gauri? Did someone say something? Did anyone hurt you?" he asks even more worried and getting angry.
"I just want to come back home. Now."
"Now? At this time? Tomorrow morning Gauri I'll get your flight tickets ready. You please stop crying."
"I miss you bhaiyya." Gauri cried.
"Even I miss you, Gauri. Don't worry okay? Everything will be fine."
"Okay." Gauri replies as she wiped her tears "Don't tell baba okay?"
"Okay I won't." Shivaay tells her. "We will talk when we meet, okay? And whatever it is I'll sort it out." Shivaay promises her. "Now go to sleep." Shivaay gently tells her.
"Sleep?" Gauri wonders out loud and then looks around her to see darkness. It was night and she didn't even realize it?
"Yeah go to sleep. I'll call you in the morning." Shivaay instructs her.
"Okay goodnight, bhaiyya."
"Goodnight. And please don't cry...okay?"
"Okay." Gauri replies. Gauri was about to hang up when Shivaay hurriedly called her name "Yeah?"
"Gauri, will you be fine? Or should I call Omkara and ask him to take you to his house for tonight?" Shivaay asks worried.
Hearing Omkara's name Gauri starts crying again.
"What is it Gauri? Did Omkara do something?" Shivaay asks hesitantly and a little worried.
Gauri continued to cry worrying Shivaay to no end. Finally Gauri says in a heartbroken tone "He likes someone else."
Hearing her Shivaay was silent for a few seconds then gently says "Tomorrow morning I'll come and pick you up."
After hanging up the phone Gauri walks to her hostel which was inside her college campus itself. The girls' hostel was in the campus while the men's hostel was outside. Gauri had just reached her hostel when she heard Omkara's voice. "Richa, is she back yet?" Gauri looked around and found him standing a few feet away from her with Richa and Ajay.
"No, Omkara." Richa replies "I've to go back in. our warden doesn't know that Gauri hasn't come back yet. So I have to make sure she doesn't find out else Gauri will be in trouble."
"Okay." Omkara replied.
"I'll try calling her. Just now I tried her cell and it was engaged. So she is fine." Richa says more to console herself than Omkara.
Omkara nods his head and takes his cell and starts dialing. Gauri realizes that he was going to call her and quickly switches off her cell.
"Damn! It is switched off!" Omkara curses.
"I'll ask her to call you when she gets back. Bye." Richa says and goes back in.
Gauri waited for Omkara and Ajay to leave so she could also go back in but looked like they were waiting for her.
"What happened, Omkara?" Ajay asks gently "She had come to your house to see you right?"
"Yeah." Omkara replies nervously.
"Then what happened? Did you two fight or something?" Ajay asks.
Omkara restlessly starts looking around and Gauri quickly ducks before he sees her.
"What is it?" Ajay asks him losing patience.
After a while she heard Omkara's voice "I was alone at home today and suddenly that Gaur came to my house."
"GAUR? Why did she come?" Ajay asks shocked.
"She said she was passing by and knew that was my house so she came in to meet me. I was trying to get her to leave when she asked me for water, and I went to get water. When I came back she was sitting in my bedroom."
"And?" Ajay prompts.
"And..." Omkara starts hesitating
"What is it?" Ajay asks irritated.
"She came on to me." Omkara says embarrassed.
Gauri shot up in shock almost revealing her hide out.
"WHAT?" Ajays screams out loud.
"I was trying to push her off when I tripped on my damn shoes and fell on top of her."
Gauri couldn't control her joy realizing that there was nothing between Omkara and Gaur and Omkara was still hers. She was about to run to him when Omkara continues "That time Dumbo came and she saw us like that. And she thought that there is something between Gaur and me. I tried explaining it to her but she didn't even listen to me" Omkara says desperately.
Gauri was suddenly filled with guilt that she had doubted Omkara and didn't even give him a chance to explain everything.
"But what were you going to tell Gauri? That Gaur was trying to rape you?" Ajay asks trying to control his laughter.
"You find this funny?" Omkara angrily asks Ajay, "I am worried sick for her and don't know where she is and how she is."
"Relax Omkara she is going to be fine." Ajay gently consoles him.
"I can't lose her, Ajay."
"You won't. You know, she likes you a lot."
"But after this." Omkara says worried.
"Once she finds out the truth, everything is going to be fine."
Omkara nods his head as he dialed Gauri's number again.
"If she means so much to you why were you avoiding her all this while?"Ajay asks curiously.
"I was confused."
"About?"
"My feelings. I just didn't know what I was feeling for her, and I had to lose her to realize how much I love her." Omkara says regretfully.
Omkara loves me! Gauri wanted to do a jig. She couldn't control her joy.
"But why avoid her?" she heard Ajay ask. "I thought if I avoided her then that feeling would just go away." Omkara replies.
Suddenly Gauri was beyond furious. One week she had been living in hell and he was acting like those romantic novel heroes who refuse to admit that they are in love and torture the poor heroine because they don't want to give up their so called freedom. Wait a minute! That is exactly what he did to me! Gauri decided to have her revenge. She won't talk to him till tomorrow. Let him sit and worry like she worried one whole week. Stupid wannabe romance novel hero.
Few minutes later the guard came and asked Ajay and Omkara to leave as they were not allowed there at that time. After they left, Gauri quickly ran inside. Her room was on the ground floor and on the other end of the corridor so she was able to get into her room without the warden noticing. The moment she reached her room Richa came running and started blasting her for going away like that, but Gauri didn't bother she just sat there with a stupid smile on her face.
Omkara loves me! Dumbo (Gauri Kumari Sharma) weds Omkara Singh Oberoi.
"Are you listening to me?" Richa angrily asked her.
"Richa I'm going to sleep goodnight." Gauri says and pushes her out of the room.
"Omkara asked you to call him." Richa calls out.
"I'm not in the mood to talk to him." Gauri replies as she locked her room.
Gauri was lying on her bed hugging her huge teddy bear which Shivaay had gifted her last year which she had named Om. Suddenly she remembered Shivaay and realized he would be worried she quickly switches on her cell and sees missed call alerts from Omkara and also a message which he had send earlier. Pick up the phone I need to talk to you.
She replies will talk to you in the morning. I need to sleep. Giggling she sends it. Then she dials Shivaay's number who picked up on the first ring.
"Gauri? You alrite?"
"I LOVE YOU BHAIYYA!" Gauri screams.
"Gauri?"
"YES!"
"What happened? You are fine right?" Shivaay asks worried and confused.
Her phone beeps, and she checks and sees that Omkara is on call waiting giggling she continues to talk to Shivaay. "Yes! Everything is just great." Gauri replies excited.
Shivaay doesn't reply for a while.
"Bhaiyya, you there?"
"Did you go mad, Gauri?" Shivaay asks worried.
"Of course not!" Gauri replies.
"You are coming home tomorrow?" Shivaay asks.
"NO! I am not coming anywhere." Gauri replies excitedly.
"Gauri, what is happening there?" Gauri was about to tell him that Omkara loves her, but then she realized that if she tells him that he would tell Baba and Baba will call Omkara and Omkara will find out that she is his Gauri, and will hate her.
"Everything is fine here, bhaiyya." Gauri says.
"What about..... Omkara.... and that...girl?"
"That was a misunderstanding." Gauri finally tells him and she hears him sighing.
"You are so silly, Gauri."
"I love you bhaiyya. You are the best."
"I love you, sis."
Gauri woke up early in the morning and got ready for college but decided to go late just to torture Omkara. She still couldn't believe that he had tortured her for a week so he would be over her. The moment she stepped out of the hostel she felt someone grab her arm she looks up in shock and sees Omkara glaring at her.
"I have to talk to you. Right now."
"Oh Omkara. You scared me." Gauri says smiling sweetly at him, which confuses Omkara to no end.
"Dumbo..."
"Can't it wait Omkara? I have class this hour." Gauri asks.
"No. Dumbo yesterday it's not what you think."
"I'm sorry Omkara." Gauri says deciding to have a little more fun "I shouldn't have walked in like that. It was so embarrassing that is why I ran away from there, and I didn't know how I was going to apologize to you and I was worried whether you wanted to shout at me for ruining your moment with Gaur that is why I didn't pick up the call." Gauri says trying hard not to laugh while Omkara gapes at her in shock.
"Moment? Sorry?" Omkara asks confused.
"Yeah... Sorry, Omkara."
"Dumbo, you don't understand. Gaur and me..." Omkara starts.
Gauri cuts him off "It is not any of my business what it is between you and Gaur, Omkara."
"Business? Dumbo what has gotten into you? What are you saying? Don't you..."
"I'm very open minded, Omkara. I don't have any problem if Gaur and you are like that." Gauri says.
"Shut up!" Omkara says losing patience "There is nothing between Gaur and me. That was just an accident. I tripped and fell on her. Nothing more than that."
"Oh... okay then." Gauri says shrugging.
"Seriously there is nothing between Gaur and me."
"Let's drop this topic, Omkara. Whatever happened, let's just forget it." Gauri says.
"Okay...... You are not angry with me, right?" Omkara asks.
"No I'm not." Gauri replies.
"And you trust me, right?"
"Yes I do." Gauri replies smiling.
"Thanx." Omkara replies smiling.
They start walking towards the college and Omkara says "Anika and I will have to go to DC College today. We will be away the whole day. Have to get the details on the whole inter-college competitions and then see the stage and the set up for the fashion show." Omkara explains. Omkara and Anika were the cultural secretaries and they were in charge of the inter-college competitions that were coming up.
Gauri wanted to ask him not to go or take her with him but then she didn't. "Okay, Omkara. I'll see you tomorrow." Gauri says and turns towards her class while Omkara watched her puzzled.
Gauri was in her class when she was called out as she had visitors. She went to the visitors' room and was shocked to find Shivaay and Rudra there.
"Bhaiyya!" Gauri screamed as she ran towards him and hugged. "What are you doing here?" she asks him excited.
Shivaay shrugs then asks "You are fine, right?"
"I told you that I'm fine. Everything is great here." Gauri replies smiling.
"With Omkara too?" Shivaay asks.
"Yes." Gauri replies.
When Shivaay mentioned Omkara only Gauri realized that how lucky she was that Omkara was not here else he would have seen bhaiyya and he would have found out the truth.
"Sweetheart, spare me a glance." Rudra says.
"RUDRA!" Gauri says as she hugs him.
"Missing me love?" Rudra asks.
"So much that I cry myself to sleep." Gauri replies.
"Aaah." He holds his chest dramatically "hurts!" Gauri starts laughing hearing that.
Gauri takes Shivaay and Rudra to the canteen, since it was not break it was easy for them to find table. Gauri was sitting with Shivaay and Rudra opposite to her. "So Gauri, my darling when are we getting married?" Rudra asks her.
"The moment you break up with your girlfriend." Gauri replies.
"Great." Rudra says smiling and takes out his mobile and speed dial 1. "Hi love" Rudra says into the phone. "I wanted to let you know that you are officially dumped. I found someone more beautiful and romantic than you."
Gauri grins hearing that, she could so imagine Bhavya filing her nail and saying in a disinterested tone "Okay!"
"Say hi to her!" Gauri says.
"My fiance says hi." Rudra informs her.
"Yeah I'm with Gauri, my love." Rudra says in style and in a second he was cowering. "Baby... I came with Shivaay, he wanted to see Gauri. I told him that even you might want to come but he said the flight was early in the morning."
Shivaay and Gauri starts laughing seeing Rudra's condition and they could hear Bhavya screaming at him for coming to meet Gauri her best friend without her. "Baby I told him that you won't have problem getting up in the morning but then he didn't listen to me.... no baby I'm not lying why would I lie to you?"
"HE IS LYING! HE DIDN'T EVEN MENTION YOUR NAME!" Shivaay screams out to Bhavya.
Rudra frantically looks around for something to throw at Shivaay. "Baby? Hello? Bhavya? Love?" then looking at Shivaay he exclaims "She hung up on me!"
"Oh poor you!" Gauri says.
"Next time stop me when I'm going to call her." Rudra instructs them then asks frowning "Do you think I should call her now or wait for her to cool down?"
"I would advise waiting." Shivaay tells him.
Rudra nods his head and says regretfully "We should have brought her along she was telling me how much she was missing Gauri."
"Yeah why didn't ask her to come?" Shivaay asks.
"Why didn't you remind me?" Rudra asks frowning.
"Huh? I am supposed to remind you of your girlfriend?" Shivaay asks shocked.
"Awww I miss you all so much." Gauri says realizing how much she was missing all of them.
"Then come home." Shivaay says hugging her.
"You know I've classes." Gauri says.
"And Omkara." Shivaay rolls his eyes.
"Forget Omkara, come home we will get married." Rudra tells her.
"Then what will happen to Bhavya?" Gauri asks.
Before Rudra could answer to that Shivaay asks her "Gauri, what is happening between you and Omkara?"
"That bhaiyya..." Gauri starts hesitating wondering how she was going to explain to him about Omkara and her.
"I don't want you getting hurt Gauri."
"Omkara will never hurt me, bhaiyya." Gauri says as she holds his hand.
"Okay... I want to meet him." Shivaay says.
"NO!" Gauri screams.
"Why?" Shivaay asks confused.
"He is not here." Gauri says regaining her composure.
Shivaay looks at her thoughtfully for a while and then asks "What is happening?"
Gauri decided it was best to tell him everything otherwise what if he insists on meeting Omkara? "Okay, but first you have to promise me that whatever I'm going to tell you, you won't talk about this to Baba and Omkara." Gauri says.
Shivaay looks at her curiously and then says "Okay I promise."
Gauri had told Shivaay everything and he was silent for a long time and finally asks "Why does he hate us?"
"I don't know." Gauri replies.
"Maybe he feels that Baba neglected him for you two." Rudra suggests.
"But when he was staying back home he didn't have a problem about that. And he used to be very nice to us." Shivaay says.
"He is very nice even now, bhaiyya. He takes care of me very well."
"But what will happen when he finds out the truth?" Shivaay asks her.
"Bhavya and I were talking, and what we feel is that you wait till Omkara proposes you to tell him who you are. Once he himself tells you that he loves you then whatever happens you can convince him and win him back but make sure he doesn't find out anything before he tells you about his feelings." Rudra advises her.
"Why?" Gauri asks confused.
"If he finds out before he confesses then Gauri you don't have any leverage to fight and win him back. He can say he doesn't love you like that."
"But I heard him say that he loves me." Gauri reminds him.
"But it is not same as he telling you." Shivaay explains.
"So I wait till he tells me to tell him who I'm?" Gauri asks.
"Yes." Shivaay and Rudra replies together.
"Okay." Gauri agrees.
"Anyway why do you want him? He is such a loser." Rudra says with disgust "A girl comes on to him and he tries to push her away cheee."
"Where is my phone? I need to call Bhavya." Gauri says as she looks for her cell and Rudra quickly snatches it away.
"What? I was just joking."
"Rudra, did you just say that Bhavya and you talked about it?" Shivaay asks frowning.
"Er.."
"So you knew about it and you didn't bother to tell me?" Shivaay asks shocked.
"Bhavya told me not to tell you."
"But I'm your best friend and it concerns my sister!" Shivaay says pissed.
Rudra looks at Shivaay guiltily and knowing that he has no other go he asks frantically "Isn't it general knowledge that I'm shit scared of my girlfriend?"
Shivaay and Rudra were leaving when the lunch break rang, and as they were walking out all the girls were giving them admiring glances and smiles which both of them didn't even notice as they were too preoccupied with Gauri, from the opposite side Ajay, Dandi and Varun were coming and seeing Gauri with two guys they stop to talk to them.
"Hey everyone!" Gauri greets them "Bhaiyya these are my friends, Ajay, Dandi and Varun. Guys, this is my bhaiyya and that is his best friend." Gauri introduces purposefully avoiding mentioning her brother's name because if Omkara finds out that her brother's name is Shivaay then... "I'll just drop them off and come back." Gauri says and practically starts pushing Shivaay to walk.
"Gauri, what is your opinion on both of us eloping?" Rudra asks pulling her towards him.
"He asked her to elope with him?" Omkara asks angrily.
"Yeah!" Ajay replies grinning.
"And then he hugged her?" Omkara asks again.
"Yes." Dandi replies grinning.
"Bloody @@##$## how dare he?"
"From the looks of it, it didn't look like Gauri minded it." Varun supplies hiding his laughter.
"And top it off; she was giving Omkara the cold shoulder yesterday." Ajay says sadly to Varun pissing off Omkara even further.
"Omkara, I'm not into guys but have to say these guys were bombs!" Dandi says.
"Look she is coming!" Ajay tells Omkara. Seeing her Omkara quickly goes towards her.
"Hi!" Omkara says smiling.
"Hey Omkara." Gaurireplies smiling seeing him. "How did it go yesterday?" Gauri asks asthey start walking towards her class.
"Good." Omkara replies andconversationally asks, "Heard you had visitors yesterday?"'
"Yeah." Gauri replies.
"Who were they?" Omkara prods.
"Brother." Gauri replies praying that he wouldn't ask her brother'sname.
"Oh brother!" bloody Ajay simply scaring me. Omkara saysrelaxed but then remembering the eloping plan he asks her "And who was theother guy? Cousin brother? Distant relative? Some random guy?" Omkara wasunable to hide his disdain for the unknown guy.
"He is bhaiyya's bestfriend." Gauri says smiling remembering Rudra and Omkara continues to fumeseeing her smile.
"Looks like he is a funny guy asking you to elope withhim...huh?"
"How did you find that out?" Gauri asks shocked. Omkarajust shrugs.
"So joking... huh?"
Gauri looks at Omkara curiouslywondering why he was asking about Rudra so much and then seeing his face sherealized why. Omkara was jealous! Smiling she says "Yeah. Heis always asking me to marry him. Very nice guy."
"Why is he behindyou like this? Doesn't he understand that you are not interested? Shamelessloser." Omkara asks even more pissed hearing very nice guy.
"Heis a sweetheart, Omkara. You know, he has vowed to make me his wife." Gaurisays smiling.
"Why aren't you putting a stop to all this?" Omkaraasks angrily.
"I like it when he says all that. Very cute he is." Gaurisays smiling.
"You like his flirting?" Omkara asks shocked.
"Itis fun." Gauri replies smiling thoroughly enjoying Omkara's jealousy.
"WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU?" Omkara angrily asks her.
"What hasgotten into you?" Gauri asks him back.
Omkara looks at her angrily andthen irritated says "I am going." And he starts to walk off when Gauricalls him from behind. "What?" he grumpily asks her.
"If I haveanything other than brotherly feelings for Rudra, then my best friend that ishis girlfriend of two years will kill me." Gauri tells him smiling.
Hearingher Omkara starts smiling "You mean he is like a brother to you?"
"Yes." Gauri replies smiling as she walked towards him.
"Thenwhy didn't you tell me at the beginning?" Omkara asks.
"Because mygrumpy bear was looking too cute." Gauri replies pulling his cheeks.
"Ouch! Wait... so you were purposefully teasing me."
Gauri smilescheekily at him.
"And what about yesterday?" Omkara asks getting alittle angry at her for playing with him.
In reply Gauri continues to smile athim.
"You think all this is funny?" Omkara asks.
"Alittle." Gauri replies.
"You have no idea how pissed I'm withyou." Omkara says angrily.
"Come on, Omkara. Leave it." Gaurisays making puppy faces.
"I was going to tell you something but now I'mnot going to." Omkara says like a stubborn four year old.
"What? Whatwere you going to tell me?" Gauri asks eagerly. Was he going to tell methat he loves me?
Seeing her eager Omkara smiles victoriously "I'm notin the mood to tell you."
Gauri tries to bait him "Even I was goingto tell you something but if you are not in the mood then even I'm not in themood."
"What were you going to tell me?" Omkara asks hereagerly.
"First you tell me." Gauri says.
"Oh!" Omkaraunderstands what she was up to, "If you want you can tell me, I won't sayit." Omkara declares.
"I won't say it first!" Gauri alsodeclares.
"Even I won't." Omkara vows.
They start staring at eachother for a while then Gauri gets worried what if Omkara doesn't tell her thathe loves her? So she very generously says "You can still change yourmind."
"Even you can." Omkara replies. But when she remainedstubborn glaring at her Omkara says "Let's see who will win."
"We will see."
Pissed they both walk off in two directions.
