I stood there in shock, I couldn't believe my eyes. Before I knew it I collapsed to the ground and tears well from my eyes. I didn't want to believe it was true. He...he disappeared. How? When? What...I...I just sat there crying.
Mateo ran to me and wrapped me in his arms, he held me and soothes me. He said sweet nothings into my ear and said it's going to be okay as he held me tightly. I breathed in his scent. A scent I fell in love with. I pulled away just enough to look into his eyes and I put my hand on his face. He still had that twinkle in his eyes. He cupped my face in one hand and looked at me.
"I've missed you mi amour." He whispered to me
"I've missed you too." I said as I relaxed into him.
I heard footsteps behind me and Kiara's voice. The footsteps stopped and Kiara's voice went quiet.
"Mateo? No it can't be." said Nathan
I heard him walk slowly and he was just as shocked as I was. But instead of my reaction he pulled Mateo up by the shirt, Mateo was. Ugh stronger than Nathan so I knew he was all owning Nathan to do this.
"You son of a bitch! You left her heartbroken!" He said and threw a punch right into Mateos jaw.
That's going to bruise for a bit. I broke them up before anything serious happened.
"I know...please let me explain." Said Mateo
Nathan and I both stood waiting.
"I was going to propose, your mother found out and she got a assassins to kill me, well at least she got one to hunt me. I killed him before he killed me. That's why I disappeared, I was hiding from him and I knew if I left you a note she could have taken it and I would get caught. I've returned because I'm free now. Baby...I came back to you because every single day since I left I've been thinking about you." He said
I felt my heart drop, she...she ruined my happiness without me evening knowing.
"Who's this?" I heard his voice but I didn't want to reply
"Blue eyes, who is he?" Kodiak repeated
"I'm Mateo Gambino." He replied
"Gambino." Said Kodiak
"Yes." Replied Mateo
I finally got hit back to reality and spoke up.
"Mateo this is Kodiak, that's Kodiak's sister. Kiara. They are under our protection. Kodiak and Kiara this is Mateo, my long lost boyfriend." I said
"Wait? His the one that...and then he...and you...but never saw him again?" Asked Kiara she left out key words out of respect for me.
"Yes." I answered
"I'm confused." Said Kodiak in a annoyed tone
"Mateo and I were in love, he vanished and now his here, he just showed up today...he explained why he vanished and why his back." I said
"Do you love him?" Asked Kodiak
"What?" I questioned
"Do.You.Love.Him?" Asked Kodiak in a strained tone
"Fuck off Kodiak! Seriously that's all you have to say! Fuck you! He was my boyfriend and best friend, the only person that knew about my mother other than my dad and brother and he cared just like they did! He was there for me! Yes I love him!...I just don't know in what way anymore!" I shouted
Everyone went silent and I walked to my room. I heard shouting but I couldn't be bothered. I was pissed. I need some target practice.
I went to the training room and threw some knifes, shit some targets and decided to work out with the punching bag.

I was exercising and heard someone enter the gym. I wasn't bothered enough to stop my workout so I continued.
"I'm...im sorry. I was out of place to ask you that. I had no right." I heard Kodiak's voice boom through the gym. He was actually sympathetic
"Please just talk to me." He said
I had my cloth over my face because I knew anyone could walk into the gym. I heard his footsteps near and he pulled me off the punching bag . He put his hand under my chin and forced me to look into his eyes.
Then he repeated his sentences. "Please just talk to me."
"What do you want!" I shouted as I pushed him away.
"I'm sorry, I just...I...I couldn't see you with him okay, I didn't want to imagine another mans hands on your body." He said in a distressed tone.
"What are you even talking about Kodiak, I dated him of course I slept with him , why does it bother you, we aren't even dating." I said
"Because...I don't know okay it just does!" He shouted
I picked up my towel and started leaving the gym.
"Please...just...forgive me." He said
"Fine. Next time you try that shit I'll throw a knife, you won't be having children." I said and heard him gulp
"Yes ma'am." He said
I walked out of the gym and went to my room. I need a shower and maybe I'll ask Kiara if she wants to go to swimming. I could use an excuse to wear a bikini,tan and drink some martinis.
I stepped into the shower and my body relaxed under the warm water, I heard someone call my names.
"Yes? I'm in the shower what is it?" I shouted
"Oh...Sis it's me, when you're done can you meet me in my room. I need to tell you something." Shouted Nathan.
"Got it." I shouted and heard my bedroom door close
I enjoyed my shower and slipped into something comfortable. I was ready to relax. I walked to Nathan's room and knocked on their door then went in.
Nathan was sat on his bed with his hands in his jar, he looked stressed and worried and I didn't understand why.
"Nathan what's wrong?" I said as I sat next to him
He looked forward, almost like he couldn't look at me...I was so confused.
"Nathan talk to me." I said in a pleading tone.
"Today's the day mom died...I...I know she was horrible but...but she was...was the women who gave birth to us." He said as a tear fell.
A tear fell down my cheek as well, tears stared to escape my eyes...she may have been a monster but all I ever wanted was to make her proud and for her to accept me. She never did.
I pulled Nathan into a hug and he cried into my shoulder, he was shaking and I knew he was reliving it...walking in on her dead on the floor...I shot her and threw a blanket over her body but he ran in. He knew why I did it, I told him to run and fetch dad because she was trying to kill me...she was going to stab me. Nathan ran into my arms and cried, we were so young.
"I'm...I'm so sorry Nathan." I said in a shaky tone.
"It's okay, you were more of a mother to me than she ever was." He said
We just sat there holding onto each other for a little while longer. We both decided we deserved to have a good day so we made plans to go swimming. I left his room to get into a swimsuit. He went to invite everyone to the main pool at the villa.

I decided since I wanted to tan option 3 was the best choice and plus it would drive Kodiak crazy.

I grabbed a towel and threw a oversized t-shirt on.
I made my way towards the pool, when I got there Kiara was already there and Nathan was already swimming.
"Damn girl, you look amazing! I wish I had your confidence." She said in admiration
"Love, you can have it, you just need to believe you are the shit, then everyone else will. And wow I knew you would look great in that swimsuit. I'm sure Nathan's been drooling." I said
She giggled and then something behind me caught her eye, she smiled at me and then walked over to Nathan. I was confused. I put my things down next to one of the loungers and took the t-shirt off. Kiara screamed and I turned so quickly I would have probably given someone whiplash.
"Kiara! What's wrong?!" I shouted as I looked around frantically
"Oh...sorry...nothing it's just your body, how are you so perfect, that swimsuit is so hot!" She said
"You gave me a heart attack, don't scream like that unless you are in trouble please." I said
And she laughed and nodded.
I sat down on the lounger and tanned, this feels great. I heard footsteps bearing and the hairs on my body stood up...it's Kodiak.
"Hey beautiful, thanks for the-" Kodiak stopped mid sentence
I opened my eyes and saw him gawking at me, he undressed me with his eyes, memorizing every inch of my body...I can't lie it turned me on.
"Take a picture it lasts longer." I said with a laugh
"What? I wasn't starring." He said
I decided to test his willpower, I stood up slowly and bent down to put my sunglasses into my bag, I purposely bent down with my ass in the air and faced my ass towards him. I heard him take in a breathe.
I stood up and turned to look at him.
"See something you like?" I teased
"You have no idea." He said with a smirk
"To bad...you ain't getting non of this." I said as I walked off to the pool
I could feel his eyes following me. I liked it...maybe a little to much.
"You...you will be the death of me." Said Kodiak
"Blue eyes! We have a problem!" Shouted Cohen
I ran to him and told Kodiak to watch Nathan and Kiara.
"What is it?" I whispered to Cohen
"Firstly Mateo is leaving tomorrow, he says he has a family matter. But the real problem...Dante is here." Said Cohen
Fuck!
"I told him I want ready for him to meet the family."I said
"Well he is your date for Friday and his your boyfriend, he is insanely in love with you." Said Cohen
"I know that, I just don't know how everyone is going to react. Now that I've seen Mateo again and this weird thing with Kodiak. Im nosy sure."I said
"Well it's going to happen oh and he wants to come over tomorrow." Said Cohen
"Okay let him know we'll have breakfast." I said and Cohen nodded
