THIRD POV
NUT SORTING ROOM
They arrived at the NUT SORTING ROOM and Mr. Salt said to Mr. Wonka, "Ah, this is the room I know all about, for you see, Mr. Wonka, I myself a nut business.", and gives him a card, which Mr. Wonka throws away.
"Are you using the Havimax 4000 to do your sorting?", Mr. Salt asked, "No.", Mr. Wonka laughs, "You're really weird."
They went inside and there's a gate and outside the gate, there are squirrels around the room and in the middle there is a hole in the middle.
Veruca said excitedly, "Squirrels!" "Yeah! Squirrels. These squirrels are specially trained to get the nuts out of the shells.", Mr. Wonka said.
"Why use squirrels? Why not use Oompa-Loompas?", Mr. Salt asked, "Because only squirrels can get the whole walnut out almost every single time.", Mr. Wonka answered.
"You see how they tap each one with their little knuckles, to make sure it's not so bad? Oh, look, look!", Mr. Wonka pointed at the squirrel, which is checking the nut.
"I think that one's got a bad nut.", he said as the squirrel throws away the bad nut in the hole, "Daddy, I want a squirrel. Get me one of those squirrels. I want one.", Veruca demanded.
"Veruca, dear, you have many marvelous pets.", Mr. Salt said. "
All I've got at home is one pony and two dogs and four cats and six bunny rabbits and two parakeets and three canaries and a green parrot and a turtle and a silly old hamster! I want a squirrel!", Veruca shouted.
"That's a ton of animals coming from a brat.", Mr. Black whispered to his son, who nodded in agreement.
"Alright, dear. Daddy'll get you a squirrel, just as soon as he possibly can.", Mr. Salt said, "But I don't want any old squirrel. I want a trained squirrel.", Veruca said.
Mr. Salt sighed and said, "Very well. Mr. Wonka? How much do you want for one of these squirrels? Name your price.", and Veruca smiled at Mr. Wonka.
"Oh, they're not for sale. She can't have one.", Mr. Wonka said as Veruca stopped smiling and turns to her dad, "Daddy!", she demanded.
Mr. Wonka said in Mr. Salt's voice, "I'm sorry, darling. Mr. Wonka is being unreasonable.", Veruca said, "If you won't get me a squirrel, I'll get one myself.", and she went between the gap of the gate and went downstairs.
"Veruca.", Mr. Salt called, but Veruca continues to go the stairs, "Little girl?", Mr. Wonka tried to call her, "Veruca, come back here at once.", Mr. Salt warned her, but Veruca is still looking.
"Veruca!", he shouted, but Veruca went to the end of the room, "Little girl? Don't touch that squirrel's nuts. It'll make him crazy.", but she didn't listen as the squirrels starts looking at her.
The suspense is in the room as Veruca hold out her arms saying, "I'll have you!", and the squirrels started to escape on their seats and ran towards her.
"Veruca!", Mr. Salt shouted as he tries to get the gate to open and Mr. Wonka has a ring full of keys, then the squirrels jumped on Veruca, who fell on the floor.
"Daddy!", she shouted, "Veruca!", Mr. Salt shouted as Mr. Wonka tries to find the right key for the lock.
The squirrels holds her arms and legs, making Veruca stuck, "Daddy, I want them to stop!", she shouted as one of the squirrels went on top of her chest and it knocks on her forehead and check on her.
"What are they doing?", Charlie asked fearfully, "They're testing to see if she's a bad nut.", and the squirrel let out a high-pitched squeak.
"Oh my goodness. She is a bad nut, after all.", Mr. Wonka said, as the squirrels carried her towards the hole.
Jason saw this happened and went through the gates and ran towards her, "Jason! What are you doing?!", Mr. Black shouted, "Saving her.", he shouted back.
He reached out her hand, "Veruca! Hold my hand!", Veruca saw this and she tries to free her hand. She got her hand free and reached out to Jason.
"Jason!", Veruca cried, and Jason got her arm and pull her away from the squirrels, which scattered away and went to Jason.
Jason pulled Veruca and she escaped from the attack. Then, the squirrel went to Jason and unlike Veruca, he actually liked the feeling of squirrels around him.
The squirrel went to him and knocks on his forehead, checking him, "What are they gonna do to him?", Mike asked, "The same thing, to see if he's a good or bad nut.", Mr. Wonka said.
The squirrel let out a loud squeak and the squirrels went back into their seats and Jason sighed in relief, "Would you look at that. He's a good nut.", he said.
Jason went to Veruca, who was shaking in fear and breathing heavily, "Hey, are you okay? Veruca. Look at me, are you okay?", she shakingly nodded and hugged him tightly, "Thank you.", Jason awkwardly pats her back.
"No problem. Now, let's go.", he said as they walk upstairs and Mr. Wonka find the key and opened the gates.
"Wow, little boy! You really do save her life.", Mr. Wonka said as Mr. Salt hugged her daughter, "Thank you, young man for saving my daughter.", he said.
"It's fine, you daughter's okay.", Jason said, then, Veruca went to Mr. Wonka and apologizes, "I'm sorry for not listening to you."
"I'm sorry, Daddy for making you worried.", she apologized to her dad, "You almost give me a heart attack out there, but since Mr. Black saved you, you're forgiven.", Mr. Salt said.
Veruca hugged him and muffled, "Thank you, Daddy", and lets go and said, "Thank you, Jason, again, for saving me.", and she smiled genuinely.
Jason nodded and said, "As long as you're save, Veruca.", and he smiled. Violet asked, "What happened if she went to that hole, Mr. Wonka?"
"Well, the other bad nuts go to the garbage chute.", he said, "Where does the chute go?", Ms. Beauregarde asked, "To the incinerator. But don't worry, we only light it on Tuesdays.", Mr. Wonka said happily.
"Today is Tuesday.", Mike and Jason said in sync, which made Mr. Wonka creeped out. Then, an Oompa-Loompa tugs his long coat and whispered something to him.
"Really? Oh, good. I've just been informed that the incinerator's broken, so there should be about three weeks of rotten garbage to break her fall if she went down there."
"Well, that's good news.", Mr. Teavee said, "Yeah. Now, let's keep on truckin'.", Mr. Wonka said as they begin to leave the room and went to a glass elevator.
Mr. Wonka pushed the down button and the elevator door opens, "I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. The elevator is by far the most efficient way to get around the factory.", he said as they all went inside the elevator.
"There can't be this many floors.", Mike said.
"How do you know, Mr. Smartypants? This isn't just an ordinary up-and-down elevator, by the way. This elevator can go sideways, longways, slantways, and any other ways you can think of. You just press any button... and, whoosh you're off.", Mr. Wonka said.
As he press a random button and they started to move sideways, and Mr. Wonka pointed out, "Oh, look! Look. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fudge Mountain.", Augustus asked, "Iz that made vid real fudge?"
"Yes, it's the chewiest fudge you'll ever eat.", Mr. Wonka said, and waved at the Oompa-Loompas. They moved into a room where there are pink sheeps and the Oompa-Loompas shaved the wool.
"Oh! I'd rather not talk about this one.", he said, Mr. Black said, "Cotton candy?", Mr. Wonka laughed nervously and said, "Yeah."
They saw a hospital room filled with with burnt puppets, "This is the puppet hospital and burn center. It's relatively new."
Then, the elevator stopped, making them, except Mr. Wonka, crashed into each other, Jason bumped into Mike, making them face to face each other closely.
Jason asked, "Are you okay?", Mike blushed and nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine.", the other kids saw this and giggled, Jason helped Mike and saw them giggling, "What?", Jason asked.
They shake their heads and Veruca said, "Oh, nothing, we don't want to ruin your moment.", and she winked at them and they started to blush, "S-Shut up.", Mike stuttered.
The adults looked at them and said, "Kids.", and they chuckled, "Ah, the administration office. Hello, Doris.", Mr. Wonka greeted Doris.
Then, the elevator moved again towards a room with Oompa-Loompas with cannons, machine guns and targets.
"Why is everything here completely pointless?", Mike asked rudely, "Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why is candy.", Charlie said softly.
"It's stupid! Candy is a waste of time.", Mike said, making Jason elbowed him, "Ow! what's that for!", Jason said, "Candy's not a waste of time, it takes time and effort to perfect it. Besides, I put effort on that bracelet."
Mike looked down and said, "Right, I'm sorry.", Jason nodded and said, "Alright, I forgive you.", and the elevator was quiet, except for the explosion at the background.
"I want to pick a room.", Mike said and Mr. Wonka smiled and said, "Go ahead.", and Mike looked at buttons and pressed the TELEVISION ROOM button.
Then the elevator moved towards a completely white room.
