There is this vast, vast ocean.
Sometimes sad and gloomy
with dark clouds looming over it;
Sometimes in a terrible rage,
furious wave after wave
crashing against the shore
in fits of helplessness.
Its bed is of loneliness,
its waters that of longing
and its shores reek of sorrow.
The sea of separation
between lonely hearts
tied together by love
yet pulled apart by life.
