Inside My Head

It's crowded in here, I can't really see
Maybe there's a way out, there has to be.
As I untangle myself from one barrier, I blindly walk into another
What is it with this place, I can't help but wonder.
.
All the doors are closed , now I can't breathe
The walls seem to be tightening, the darkness now getting to me.
I scream but it only adds to my misery.
.
'Push it all out', a voice calls out to me
'tell someone you're in pain, that's the only way to be free'
Turn by turn I slowly look at the things surrounding the scene
The masks fall
A forced laugh excapes my lips as I see
That it's nothing but my own thoughts suffocating me.
.
Now I know a way out, but it may be harder than it seems
That door I need to open, requires a lot of strength, you see.
I may have a way out but someone finds a way in, that's what it's gonna result to be.
.
So I pull back my outstretched hand and sink in the corner
Maybe I'll find another door, one that asks less of me
Or maybe
Just maybe,
my silence will bring me peace.
Atleast for the time being. ⏳
